Yup understand your point of view too... I hate our over reliance on Mata and wish we had a credible alternative - hopefully the Summer will bring this Look at Barca just now - Messi had a bad game (still injured in my view) - and the whole team was flag, because they rely on him so much - that's how I think we are with Mata.. Well that's your opinion and mine is he needs to be rested... Mental strength is just as important as physical strength and 'creative' people get tired from being creative - add in physical tiredness and it really degrades performance! Now that's just my observation of creative people in the various industries I have worked in, so yes I'm making an abstraction to football - but I can't see it being that different. 61 games is a lot - he's probably played 95%? Plus the summer break was interrupted with the Olympics. So hopefully this year he will get a nice break. Compare game 1-10 Mata with game 50-60 Mata and I'm pretty sure my point stands? I can't be arsed to look at the stats, but I'm sure they would back up that a fresher Mata is a better Mata?

We have cost us this season... 1) appointing RdM and then sacking him 2) attacking Clatten-cunt and not expecting repercussions... 3) appointing FSW 4) loaning out quality players and selling squad players in a depleted team - leaving us bare in our longest season ever!!! 5) ...... Mata needs a rest... He cannot create everything for 61 games!!! We need a decent back-up player to cover him... Also - why can't we play through balls? Sturridge showed what we have missed up front... Sturridge + BA would have been a great combo and I would gladly swap Studge for Moses. Sturridge hit the post, set up 2 great chances and scored in 45 mins - whilst our striker had 90 to achieve precisely fuck all. Yes Studge should be in trouble for his tackle on Bert - but I don't think it was malicious, I think it was more Danny being a little revved up. Yes I am deadly serious! He turned over possession so many times and apart from one decent run - in open play he was ineffective. I like Hazard as a player, but he cannot keep on conceding possession like this! He needs to learn when he can use the flicks/tricks and when it's just better to keep the ball, even if it means drawing a foul... The lad has talent and will get better, but I think this game was too much for him. I also thought Mata was sloppy too and everything I said about Hazard applies to Mata too! Oscar, great goal, also had sloppy moments - as did our whole team. The problem with Mazacar or whatever it's called is that if they lose possession cheaply, our pivot and defence is overrun and shit teams like Liverpool have a chance... The more I see it the more I don't see Mazacar ever working properly - this needs to be addressed next season or we will continue to go backwards So Mazacar and Pivot need fixing, kinda begs the question of does this fucking formation actually work for us? Would 442 be better or 4411?
