haha yeah, totally. I like the Smiths better than Mozzas solo material which I think is quite dire. ...from what I read Oscar is doing very good for Brazil ?
-
Bertrand is doing good. Covers his left side pretty good. Sturridge with a lot of movement troubleing Senegals defense.

These kind of threads are exactly the reason why I have some resentments against message boards. First thing in the morning I want to read so opinion and what do I get ? Some unbalanced, knee jerk reactions to a lost pre-season (!!!!!! how many more times?) game. To be fair there are a lot of good postings on here , the majority actually. ( I am just on a banter-mission) But as soon as the slightest of things goes wrong, there are all the voices who know exactly why Mikel (of all people) is shit, that our squad is overrated (by whom exactly?) and that we are in deep shit already (yes, already, three pre-season games "into the season"). I am just wondering with what sort of expectations people watch Chelsea play football. We don´t hold the devine right to win every game. Football is a game of "some you win, some you lose". We just had one of our truely great seasons last season and people, I mean, some of the the own fans write us off already ? What kind of mentality and spirit is that ? We haven´t even see someone like Marin in competative action, and already is shit ? What sort of view on football is that anyway ? I am not saying that one can´t critique players or a performance, but what I certainly think is stupid are these kind of broad generalizations who don´t help anyone to understand what one thinks is going on. And please, don´t give me a "Lukaku/Mikel/Malouda/Hazard/Mata is shit" anymore because they don´t perform like on the X Box. The footballers we discuss here are not shit. They just have different qualities. It is not like you just win the lottery and become a first team footballer in one of Europes biggest teams. I am sometimes jumping on several bandwagons myself, but I try to stick to some differenciated views after the initial knee jerk reactions.

AVB and his reserves policy...

Great news. Good that it is finalised now. All that talk can stop now. Very exicited to see all the boys playing together. When do you reckon can we count on seeing i.e. Mata - Hazard - Oscar play their first game together ? Surely only in the first few games of the season.
-
Werder Bremen really is a good option for KDB. They always try to play attacking football and have nurtured some amazing attacking players in the past. Maybe they could Lukaku on loan as well.
-
Thanks, my thoughts exactly. I don´t know why everyone is acting so childishly on here. Seems as if The Champions League doesn´t mean a thing and that people can´t relax and trust the team and the management with what they are doing.
-
Throw Mata, Hazard and Marin in there and you´ve got a decent midfield that doesn´t cost truckloads of money and delivers the EPL trophy by goal difference. I don´t know if you´ve watched last seasons Champions League, but i´d say that our midfield did quite well against Messi.... Oh, and of course they don´t look fit. That still is the whole deal of pre season. The games are frustrating. You can´t take anything from them seriously. Given how our Pre Season under Scolari went and how we were sweeping the floor with teams, the season following pre season was pretty bad, to put it diplomaticly. So, don´t stress it and approach games like these realisticly.
-
I am used to some negativity on this messageboard but the way some people talk on here right now really takes the biscuit. It is not the Fucking Title Decider (FTD) we are watching but - again - our second pre-season game partly held for commercial reasons and partly for fitness reasons and trying out different options. Don´t make it to hard on yourselves and get to engaged about this, it means nothing.
-
People, please, it is the 2nd game of pre season against a team that played a lot more football thus far. So everyone take a breather and not pretend that this stuff actually counts for something.

Whish i was in NY now, in general and for this match. Looks like a beautiful day over there. It is kind of a merging of cultures, playing football in a baseball arena. Interesting questions for all the culture studies in Academia (not the Portugeezers). Can´t wait for the match to start. Watching footie on a sunday night itself and with no urgency to wake up early on monday is kind of great.

Absoloutly. On his day he was one of the best the PL has seen.
-
....and Ledley King retires from football.
-
The games against Barca and Bayern clearly didn´t fit his style. He just isn´t a warrior type of player like Cech, Cole etc.. Physicially he´s just been struggeling and with Chelsea sitting back and waiting for the counter attack, Mata is redundant because he obviously struggles with that type of game. He isn´t inexperienced.
-
I am not buying it until it is official posted on the Club´s website. Saving myself the frustration since Robinho.
-
It feels like ages since we´ve played Seattle Sounders. Is that just three years ago ? Exciting times ahead of us. Can´t wait until the season starts again. Pre Season is nice, but the first matchday of the new EPL season is always a fun day with a lot of good banter going down.
-
please, please, please, please!
-
Absoloutly. I just start to realise what it all means. I watched the whole game today and then it all came to me suddenly: CHELSEA are the CHAMPIONS Of EUROPE. And we´ve got Robbie DiMatteo as our manager, a club legend even before all that, we´ve signed amazing new players, the future looks brighter than ever. I am buzzing for weeks, waiting for the new season to start.

Urgh, the "tribal tattoo" on the Liverpool shirt looks so aweful. It will look good on thugs like Skrtl, given that he is fully inked with some bullshit like that anyway. Which club would make a deal with a company called Warrior Sports and declare it as a massive kit deal and as a success, whilst all the top teams in Europa have either Adidas or Nike ? Liverpool would. Totally matches their position in football.
-
If he was found guilty and be fined, would there be any other consequences i.e. from the FA or Chelsea ?
-
Maicon didn't know who gareth bale was. Maicon made gareth bale a credible footballer.
-
Always respected and liked the guy. Hope he can prove what he is all about. Within bounderies, always stay under Chelsea in the league, be pushovers in the Cups and not trying to sign any of our players. Maybe he dips into the market trying to sign Anelka if Adebayor doesn´t stay and Alex if Kings legs finally implode.

What is their fucking sponsor there ?
