  1. Cant believe sturridge doesn't get a look in for this england team.... Milner on the right over him... Cleverly at CAM... Gary cahill on the benh behind jagielka... i am glad in a way as it means they cant get injured but some of the picks are very WTF...
  2. I agree he shouldn't be given special treatment on here, but whoever puts on our shirt deserves support regadless of what has been done in the past... The over-exaggerated support at the bridge is a simple sign of trying to do the best we can to get torres to play better, as he is the one chelsea are putting their faith in to get goals. He doesn't deserve special treatment, and he shouldn't get it on this forum.
  3. Is that directed at me? If so, where did i say any of that?
  4. Who is doing that? I am not saying torres has been good or anything like that. I am simply saying that torres as a chelsea player deserves support like anyone else, especially when we only have him and sturridge as our strikers. If the supporters at the bridge including myself for example start saying torres is shit in the stands, and just don't give a fuck then that is not gonna be good for chelsea which is the ultimate goal. If we had drogba at the club then it wouldn't matter as much as we could play didier up-front and that would be that. My simple point is that, like it or not he is our number one striker and we just have to live with that... Torres is never gonna do even a 1/100th of the greatest player to ever wear a shirt has done for us (Super frankie). But there is nothing we can do about that... And this is a forum, everyone can say what they want but i am just stating that nothing can be done about it yet if he has a season similar to last; which i hope will not happen.
  5. Transfer window is closed, no replacement will be bought until at earliest january. And with the exception with sturridge he is all we have... He has made a pretty good start to the season all things considered, and now we have to get behind him... If us as fans start getting on his back atm then we are really screwed as, torres' confidence is gonna be completely gone, and no good can come of that... If, when the transfer window is open he hasn't performed enough then i am fairly sure we will probably bring someone in, but until then KTBFFH :blue scalf:
  6. He looks like he is one of the boys who get to go and meet the stars of the team... Happy 14th birthday oscar, have fun at cricket camp...
  7. International breaks are really pissing me off... Its been fucking ages since we have played a prem game... Lets do this already...
  8. I agree, i rather it be cold than too hot...
  9. There are some seriously messed up people... RIP.
  10. I have never ever heard of him before in my life... But doesn't mean he cant be good... Research time....
  11. You clearly cheated by having someone called daniel studge upfront.... I thought he played for chelsea...
  12. I made an error of thinking man u with Vidic, and (WANKER) being back then they would be solid and vidic used to score a shit load from defence... I might put Cech in... Probably switch from a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2. Might put Dembele in...
  13. Its a hard one, as we have had one natural leader for so long when he goes it will feel like there is a big gap in our defence. Cech is not a bad shout for captain though it depends for me... If we assume JT captain for 2 more years, then cech will be 32. If he does a brad friedel then definately he is a great option though tbh i am not overly keen on GK captains as they can't sort out issues down the pitch... (I.E. Terry is always talking to the ref, pulling players away at Free kicks etc, Cant exactly do that if he is in goal, but the VC could do)... I think that having an english captain is not essential, but i personally like the captain being from the same country as the club. Bertrand is not a bad shout as it is likely he will be in the team for a long time after cole, but he doesn't look to me like a natural leader though tbf no one does, except JT. I think a better answer to this question can be formed by when we need a new captain. As much as some people don't think JT should start any more, i honestly cannot see him not being a starter in the next 2 years injury permitting as he is such a great defender, with pace being his only real negative... If in 2 years time Nathanial is looking really good at 19 years of age and somehow breaks into the first team then it would be great to give him the captaincy as he could be there for the next 13 years... I don't see the point in govng the captaincy to someone if they probably won't be there in 2 years time. GC will be 28 and would hopefully have at least 4 years... I'll do a short list and my view on some of them for being the next captain Cech: Pros- Been a feature of our team for a long team... Probably the most vocal (with the exception of JT), is definately seen as being a leader... Con - Courtois is up and coming and in a few years could be challenging cech for that no.1 spot. A.cole: Will be 33, probably not ideal to make captain when Bertrand will probably be on the way in. R. Bertrand: Pros- Long term role in our team in all likelyhood, he is english and comes across as an extremely nice guy... Con- Not sure if he has that never say die (John Terry) like attitude. G. Cahill: Pros- Seen as the favourite of many on here, John terry's understudy, had a captaincy role at Bolton, and seems to be as close a like for like replacement for JT. Cons- He is not JT. Ivanovic: Pros- Very versatile in the team, and is respected by many, and is great in the air: Cons- Seemed to be struggling recently and may not be a first team regualr in the near future depending on the success of GC, Cesar, and David Luiz. David Luiz: Pros- Extremely likeable guy and is only 25 right now, Cons- Doesn't seem like a leader on the pitch, maybe doesn't have a captains mentality. Nathaniel Chalobah- Pros- 17, english and could be in our first team for an extremely long time, looks like a future leader on the pitch. Cons- Probably too young atm and as much as we all hope he will break through there is no guarentee he will. Mikel: Pros - Strong, fairly young, and has an important place in our first team atm. Cons- Doesn't seem to be overly vocal on the pitch, and isn't someone you can say with as much certainity as some others will be there in the next few years. Josh MC. Pros: English, could be a feature of our midfield for the best part of a decade.... Cons- Hasn't broken through to the first team yet and is very young. Mata: Pros- Well respected and is one of our best players, quite vocal (can be seen from towards the end of the olympics)... Cons- Doesn't look like a leader, and isn't as vocal as a certain JT. Torres: Pros- No i just can't see it. Obviously i have missed out a load of different players who could be considered but its an extremely hard decision... The biggest problem for me is JT, is perfect, puts it all on the line for our team, is big strong vocal, and a natural born leader... One thing is for certain i doubt we will have a better captain for a long long time. JT: Future Manager manager extraordinaire :blue scalf:
  14. That is quite jokes... Though tbh i do agree with him on some stuff, as i am not religious myself....
  15. I am wildcarding it as well this week... WIth a two week break i have put in players early who i think we will popular and whose price should rise by the end... Already made some money, so by the time i make my proper transfers next friday i hopefully will have made a bit more money. Probably gonna have to put RVP in though.... And get the chepaest possible player for my bench who play... Also clichy has to go as City seem to be not playing him a lot which is very annoying and my 2 man u defenders plan didn't work (Very happy about that though as in real life it is good news).
  16. For me, i think that the new captain will probably be Gary cahill in the short term, but i think our next long term captain will be ( if he breaks through) nathaniel chalobah... That is my Guess.
  17. They should realise that they shouldn't comprimise on air safety by using extremely old soviet air crafts... Cost cutting shouldn't be done in things of this nature as when it goes wrong it goes seriously wrong.
  18. From watching that, i thought he played well first half and second half there wasn't much so he went a bit missing... Dont know if it was a whole belgium thing or just he didn't get many touches but he did nothing wrong from what i saw there apart from on occassion do things a bit simple... 2:17 though is pretty damn good.
  19. Oh yeah i forgot to say chalobah.... At 17 he has a lot more time than some others, and as you say if he can get at starting spot in a championship side now then that is valuable experience at a young age... I think he could make it, however like all our youth products its a question of whether he wants to be patient and possibly break through, as i can see him potentially being our captain of the future if he makes it or whether he doesn't want to play second fiddle for a while and goes somewhere else. Its not easy for our youth products, time will tell, lets hope... Worst case scenario is some of our quality talent scapes somewhere else and becomes a star for the likes of arsenal etc. Something we definately don't want to happen.
  20. He said Josh already.... It is the harsh truth especially at big clubs where we can easily buy in replacements that youth players rarely come through though when they do they are generally pretty special. If those 5 all make it then that would be really good going... I honestly see Courtois and De bruyne and maybe lukaku if his first touch improves... I would love to say josh, but i get a feeling he will be offered a permenant spot at a slightly smaller club and will become a star there...
