http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2016/05/hazard-strike-added-to-goal-of-the-season-list.html HAHA. What perfect timing. I think that will definitely get the majority of people's votes
-
I agree, I was annoyed they did not try to score but the fact we passed it was to really take the piss out of Spurs as if to say "we have stopped you winning the league" and the team wanted to reflect this by wasting time. We were winding them up and that would have wound them up more.
-
And for those who slept on him and want him out the club. Take that We need him next season. No other player can change a game like that in our team.
-
Hiddink is a fucking idiot. He takes off Pedro and brings on Hazard yet keeps both Matic and Mikel on. Is this guy on crack? Hazard, Willian and Pedro is what worked last week ffs.
-
Terry can't do anything wrong on this forum. It is all Cahill's fault. LOL. The defence is not good enough, standard.
-
Don't know if people have picked up on it but I can't remember the last time we have played a game at home where we have kicked off towards the Shed End in the first half. First time this must be in ages where we have switched sides from where we are attacking.
-
Yeah annoying but Hiddink was saying he is still not full match fit and in such a high intensity game, that is why I am assuming he is not starting.
-
Him and Zouma did well against Kane in the fixture at WHL.
-
It did not help that Betis were down to 10 men for majority of the game so when Musonda came on, he was having to do tons loads of defending. Had it been 11 against 11, we would have seen more of him which is a shame but yeah did a nice little run where he glided past couple or three player then eventually lost it. But yeah, decent outing considering the circumstances.

Bale does it again in absence of Ronaldo. People should not even mention Bale leaving Real. Not going to happen.
-
LOL, Bale? Be realistic. We are in no form of European footy. Bale has proven that when Ronaldo is absent, how vital he is for Real and he needs to be appreciated much more there and I think Real know this. Bale is a key player for Real and he is their future. Not a chance they sell him. It is easy to get big money for a player, but replacing them is not as easy as you think. I would not sell Willian at £50m. Way too key for us.
-
And we have won the FAYC for the third time in a row!!!!! We beat City 3-1 with goals from Sterling, Abraham and Tomori. Well done. Excellent achievement considering the crop that left us last season which included, RLC, Christensen, Brown, Boga, Musonda and Solanke. Congrats!

I agree that Kante has been brilliant but those stats do not speak the whole story. Kante plays in a 4-4-2 and has more responsibility to get about the field and put in more tackles/interceptions. Leicester tend to give the opposition the ball while Roma like to play a brand of pass it on the floor type football. So obviously because of that Kante is prone to do more chasing and making more tackles. That is not to underestimate his performance though. He has been brilliant. 3 yellow cards for his type of role in a team that likes to give away possession is fantastic and shows how good he is at making clean interceptions. Naingollan is a much better passer. Yes, Kante has a slightly better completion but if you are looking at who is the better long passer, dictating play, Naingollan is much better than him in this dept and is a much better striker of the ball. So I think both have different yet some of the same qualities.

Eighth place in the Premier League will definitely provide Europa League qualification if... Liverpool win the Europa League and finish seventh in the Premier League AND Manchester United win the FA Cup and finish in the top six in the Premier League AND Manchester City qualify for the Champions League (either finishing top four or winning the Champions League itself) http://talksport.com/football/europa-league-and-champions-league-qualification-what-finishing-fourth-fifth-sixth-seventh Even getting top 8 looks a bit of a stretch. While there seems to be mixed opinion from fans who want EL and fans who don't (including me), if the above scenario happened and we happened to qualify by finishing in that position, it would mean having a similar start to what West Ham did this season and it really is not necssary for us. Having our best players fit for the whole week will surely boost our chances in trying sustain a PL title assault next season. It is easy to say play the youngters but let's face it, Conte will use a good team, even though I am sure he will make use of the squad but especially if we get past the group stages, you will see the best players playing. Rather avoid the EL scenario all together tbh.

I don't have a problem with people being unhappy with his mistakes. That is normal. However when people go and start saying Cech this, Cech that, it confuses me. He has made some tremendous saves this season, combined with a lot of errors. Courtois has one bad season and is naive with the media now people are portraying him as inferior to Cech and a traitor. The truth is we can't be sure he wants to leave. Look at Hazard for instance, he was reportedly encouraging the idea of moving to PSG and now we are hearing from Hiddink, he wants to stay and rediscover his form here. So people should take it with a pinch of salt when Courtois talks about his future. Now if Arsenal won the title I could understand the anger etc but look they are trophyless despite bringing in Cech. Regarding Fabregas, I agree that his shooting has definitely declined. At Arsenal he used to score a lot of long range specials. I agree with you about some of his flaws but then we get rid off him, we are getting rid off our best creative player and the best passer in the league. I mean I know he has been worse this season than last but he got over 15 assists last season right? That contributed to us winning our first league title for a near decade. We get rid off him then replace him with who? Pjanic? Good player and better keeping the ball under pressure but why not try them together if that is the case? I know he has a tendency to struggle against teams that press him but then for all the teams that don't he is a major difference and it is these type of games that often are the difference between winning the title and not, as proved last season. But like I saw @CHOULO19 and @LondonsFinest point out Conte built a system around Pirlo and used his playmaking abilites as the main focus to get the best out of the team. As good as Pirlo was, even him in his prime would have the same problem as Fabregas in this system if he was pressed. However Conte bought players to give him freedom and get the best out of his passing. If he gets the right players we might be able to do the same with Fabregas. Fabregas for me is a key player and he has shown enough sincce Hiddink has arrived to show he is a key player and must be kept around last season. If there are games where he might be vulnerable to being exposed then bench him. Simple as but selling him? Not even an option for me. Not when we have the best passer in the league and are looking to get back to our best next season and he is one of those who has shown post-Mourinho that he can be a big part of that. Genuinely shocked when I see people want him sold. Sorry for the long post. Learning from the best

He is not going to go anywhere. He just wants more money as I knew all along. This is what happens when you reward young players too much, too early. It sets a dangerous precedent. For instance, Chalobah is on at least £30,000 a week which is beyond ridiculous for a player who has never played for the first team. RLC plays a few games for the first team without actually cementing a first team slot and we are giving him at least £40,000 a week while some other sources say he is earning near £60,000 which would be ludicrous if true. Brown is earning £20,000 or so and apparently Christensen was earning around the same amount at the age of 17/18. Not to mention the other youngsters like Ake who before he signed a new contract earlier this season was on £20,000 a week. That new contract probably brings him up to the £30k mark. So while I think £50,000 is ridiculous and I think is being exaggerated, he prob will want at least £25,000- £30,000 with bonuses added on. He will point out to the fact that he is English and if he is rated as highly as the club make him out to be he deserves to be rewarded if he is considered the future and will point to other youngsters such as RLC. He also has the leverage that at a young age, he could seek a move to another club if we don't give him a hefty increase. It is crazy though. Alli joins Spurs and is on a meagre £10,000 a week. He takes the PL by storm and in reality takes a meagre increse compared to what other clubs would offer by signing a £25,000 a week contract. If he was at us we prob would be offerring him around £60k to £70k a week. Like I said, I don't beleive the £50k a week rumours are true but he will certainly be looking for leverage.

You have another thing coming if you think there is any chance of Fabregas leaving this summer.
-
I agree with a lot of what you said tbh. I mean Fabregas, for instance has not been great this season but he has vastly improved under Hiddink. Yes, he went missing against PG etc but after making three assists in one game and reaching a certain point in number of assists, seems majority of fans are just slating him and criticising him. You would think a lot of fans are Gooners with the way people are slating Courtois and Fabregas and wishing for Cech to come back. I went to the Fabregas thread earlier and just see so much abuse. Atonishing. It frustrates me as well when I see people question the decision to sell Cech and keep Courtois like Cech has not made numerous mistakes himself this season.

Just look at pages 5-8 when I had to argue with so much people about Kane being the real deal. Pacquiao was the main culprit whose arguments were just utter rubbish and utterly pathetic however there were even others who doubted him because he had a slow start. Look at him now. Leading the scoring charts. For me I think he is the best striker in the league besides Aguero. And he is only getting better and rarely seems to be injured.
-
Oh god This is Chelsea FC. Not Hazard FC. Yes, he has been poor but so have so many other players and Mourinho has to hold a lot of responsibility too. I am annoyed at his form this season but calling our own player that who let's face it, we are going to need to be back at his best next season if we want to get back in to top 4 or make a title challenge is unacceptable. I understand you are very much in the Mourinho supporters camp but he is gone now and he is more likely than not going to be managing one of our rivals next season.

Ideally I want Leicester to get the title wrapped before the last day of the season because I don't like the idea of us throwing a game on other words to gift another team the title. Good to see Leicester 2-0 up however as the our game against Leicester is our last game of the season at home, I would rather us go to win it and try put on a show. Obviously that will be different if the title race is on but if we help Leicester by beating Spurs, we have already given Leicester a great chance of lifting the title in the penultimate week of football in front of their own fans against Everton. I don't even want a scenario like that at the end of the season where the players will be accused of throwing the game.
-
Yes, but teams are not so blind-sided like other people to think Hazard has lot it all. Zidane knows Hazard can get back to his best and that is why interest will remain. Hopefully Conte and everyone at Chelsea all collaborate to make sure Hazard is a Chelsea player next season. I wouldn't sell him at any costs because I think it is pivotal he is here next season as we will not get better like for like replacements.
-
I think you need to check his assist for Salah in our 6-0 win against Arsenal couple seasons back and why not take a look at his goal against Everton this season But honestly, he has been below-par this season but when on form he brings so much imo.
-
Like Hazard, if we even contemplate letting Matic leave, it is a mistake. I think both will be crucial players next season.
