Yes, but teams are not so blind-sided like other people to think Hazard has lot it all. Zidane knows Hazard can get back to his best and that is why interest will remain. Hopefully Conte and everyone at Chelsea all collaborate to make sure Hazard is a Chelsea player next season. I wouldn't sell him at any costs because I think it is pivotal he is here next season as we will not get better like for like replacements.
-
I think you need to check his assist for Salah in our 6-0 win against Arsenal couple seasons back and why not take a look at his goal against Everton this season But honestly, he has been below-par this season but when on form he brings so much imo.
-
Like Hazard, if we even contemplate letting Matic leave, it is a mistake. I think both will be crucial players next season.

To underestimate Courtois role in his part of Atletico winning the league is a mistake. He was a big factor. He may not have made the DDG type saves but he was such a huge commander of his area. For instance when we played them second leg whilst he was owned by us, he virtually caught every ball and just made his presence felt. Cech is not better than him in this department like you said. Yes, but the whole point was that ultimately,Mourinho did not think Lukaku was on Costa and Eto's level. If he did, he would not have got Costa or Eto'o because Lukaku is a lot younger. Courtiois proved in his first season at us that the right decision was made for him to be our no.1. I disagree about Cech being better at organizing his defence. I am not saying Courtois is great in this department but even to this day, Arsenal have struggled to structure their defence properly from set peices with Cech in goal and Cech has been at fault for those set peice goals they have conceded quite frequently. West Ham , Swansea games at Emirates etc. And Courtois is as good at one on one saves as Cech is imo. The amount of time Courtois has redeemed us by making key one on one saves. Cech for me is more error prone as well. The amount of goals he let's in where a top keeper should be saving quite comfortably. Joel Ward's goal against Arsenal earlier in season at Selhurst. Zarate's goal at Emirates, Bolasie's goal at Emirates, virtually every single Southampton goal against Arsenal in their 4-0 demolition at St Mary's earlier in season. The Martina goal was just world class so I let him off that one. The other three were poor decision making from Cech. To me they are on the same level really however I think we made the right decision.
-
No he is not. Courtois has been poor this season but let's not pretend before that most people thought Courtois should be our no.1 because he was up there with the best GK in the world after Neuer. And no Mourinho chose Courtois over Cech because he rated them both the same however Courtois was a lot younger. It is not because Cech was better with the hope that Courtois would be better than him in the future. Why do you think Mourinho let players like Lukaku go? Because at the time he rated the likes of Eto'o and Costa as better strikers. However with Courtois and Cech, like he said himself, he rates them on par with each other. Let's not forget as well that at Atletico, Courtois was virtually faultess and Cech made a few mistakes here and I remember a lot of Chelsea fans were saying Courtois is better. If you take this season away, I think Courtois is the better keeper. Cech makes way too many crucial errors. Not just this season as well. Can't see how you can say that it is a four gone conclusion that Cech is better. That is an opinion, no way a definite.

The fools who slept on him are going to regret it, I tell you. Watch next season. (Assuming he is at us)

This is the Hazard of old we have missed. This was not even a fully fit Hazard. Imagine what a fully fit Hazard will do. Hopefully this is onwards and upwards from now

Hattrick of assists by Fabregas
-
Hazard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least he has got that goal. Relief.

You could say the same to Messi for the likes of Atletico, Real and Villareal this season too. But he still for me is the best player in the world. But if you are saying that about Pedro, maybe you should tell our other players that too. And regardless of opposition you need players to win the game. If Pedro can be decisive for these type of smaller teams, I am happy.
-
8 goals for Pedro this season. Like I said before, he has shown enough this season to show he can be a useful squad player next season. Has made some quality assists too.
-
Yeah, you have a point. I disagree regarding Pedro and Cahill though. I would defintiely have them here as squad players next season. Cahill will be, whether people like it or not and Pedro most probably too. Christensen in all likeliness is going to be at Gladbach next season then hopefully season after he comes back in our starting 11. I would like Andreas to be here next season but from what I have been reading, I don't think that will be the case and Zouma is not going to be fully ready for start of next season so I think Cahill should be kept around and I still feel he is a useful player to have. Yeah, hopefully that 'fight' does swing into Colkett's favour but he has a long way to go to make it in to our team. Remember there are the likes of Baker who is an excellent talent as well and is more accomplished. I hope you are right about Colkett though. He stalled on signing a contract for a long while and eventually signed one during the week, so there must be some hope that he will make it here on the club's side and his perspective.
-
Your hate for Pedro goes overboard sometimes. I am not saying he has been worth the money by any means but he has shown that he is a good squad player. 3 goals away from double figures and you have to think if the whole team was playing good, he would also show more quality. Next season under new manager and hopefully improved team, I think he can step his game up. Cahill, is not everyon'e favourite but he is a good squad player and has been a kery player for us over the years, as has Ivanovic. Baba needs time imo. Colkett is good but I just don't rate him as one of our best academy talents. I mean in the youth set ups yeah, long run I don't think he has enough unique qualities to help him make it through. Compare him to Josh for example when Josh was here. He had very good technical qualities, like Colkett but Josh was a better dribbler and better agility. Colkett is pretty much good at dictating play and taking set peices but to make it here, he will need more than that imo. That is the stumbling block in the long run imo. Hopefully I am proved wrong.
-
He has done decent. This is an 18 year old we are talking about who is still eligible to play in the FA Youth cup. 7 goals, not bad and considering he was not able to make his debut with Vitesse for the first few weeks or so due to certain loan complications and has been injured in different spells, I would say he has done well.for an 18 year old who speaks no Dutch and is settling into his first real taste of professional football. It is Brown, who has been underwhelming if anything at Vitesse who is a year older than Solanke.
-
Diaz is only 16 as well. Amazing how technically good he is. Different class. Plays really like Messi. Imagine him in a few years if he continues developing...

Will the academy eventually help us dominate English football?

You are right but it shows that if you integrate youth players with first team players, it can work. Can you believe for instance that our youth team beat United's youth team 5-1 in the FAYC at their place and both Rashford and Fosu-Mensah played the whole game. They both have been integrated into the first team and do not look out of place at all. Abraham has been much more prolific at youth level than Rashford however United integrate him into the first team and he prob will have a better career. You swap the two players and Abraham might just be where Rashford is right now, vice versa. -
Yes, but he got where he is today ultimately through hard work. How many players do you hear of playing for a Championship's team U18 being scouted to Liverpool and coming into the first team. Let's not forget that he did not have it easy growing up as well with his background and area he was brought up in. I don't think there are much who made huge strides like that. Yes, his fee was inflated because of age and English but they bought a player who has shown a lot of potential and quality, albeit inconsistent. He is 21, yes. I think his career is only on the rise with Guardiola coming in tbh. Can't see how anyone says he does not have the right attitude.
-
Well just because you hear he does that, that does not mean he has a bad attitude. He loves football and has shown the right attitude to be where he is right now. From QPR U18 to Liverpool U18/U21 all the way to the first team within the space of three years... then after breaking into the Liverpool team so rapidly, a few years down the line he joins Man City and becomes the most expensive English player in football history. You don't reach where he is at the age of 21 by having the wrong attitude. The evidence is there that he has the right attitude. Media deceives people.
-
How does he not have the right attitude? Because you hear from the media that he likes to take laughing gas?
-
Have no problem with him going out on loan again however I do feel he can go to a better team than Betis.
-
3 months younger than RLC you mean then
-
When they asked him what was his favourite assist I was praying he said the one he set up for Costa against Arsenal last season Because that was certainly mine.
-
Only on here mate:
-
People laughed when we were linked with him and Walker. Them two are arguably the best LB and RB in the league. Walker has always been underrated. Along with Bellerin, is the best attacking fullback in the league however Walker is much better defensively while Rose has improved leap and bounds this season. Solid offensively and defensively.
