Him being given too much at such a young age messed him up. This is why I was slightly irritated about the reported wages he was getting. Hopefully he keeps level headed.
-
The vision is insane. Great performance.
-
How? Legend he is but payroll?

Did you see Cech for Williams goal tonight? Suicidal and cost Arsenal deadly. Let's be honest as well. As good as Cech has been this season, he has been subject to a lot of dodgy keeping himself which seems to be forgetten on here. Team Courtois!

Hearing his new contract means he will be earning around £40,000 p/w while other sources say it is 60k p/w. Probably earning £40k with clauses that if met, means it will rise to that much. Can see why the club wanted to tie him down but we award our youngsters with way too much, too soon. Dele Alli who has been excellent for Spurs this season was initally earning around £10k p/w which I think RLC was roughly on as well. Alli deservedly earned a new contract because of his excellent unexpected rise to stardom so quickly but is reportedly earning around £25k p/w with his new contract. So in theory RLC is earning almost double what Dele Alli is earning. RLC deserves a new contract but that is a lot of money to be giving someone who has not even established himself in the first team as of yet. He comes across to me as level headed but this is where it can all go wrong for youngsters. We offered similar amounts to Chalobah and Josh too and probably more youngsters I have not even mentioned. Kane, who also rose to stardom last season was awarded with a contract that put him on the same amount as RLC. Compare what both have achieved. Hopefully the money does not get to his head and he remain level headed because those wages are what you normally give to a player who is important part of the first team. Either way, delighted that he has committed to us for the long term.

Skysports gave him MOTM rating yesterday.

Scored a hattrick this evening for Wolfsburg Remember his hattrick for us against Fulham. That was a joy to watch.
-
Just found this one. Bloody hilarious
-
Yeah. Someone must do from some other country or so. Not too sure. I just know that 5 teams from one country are now allowed to be un the UCL at same time like how there were 5 Spanish teams this season. Would like someone to clarify the whole process because like you said it must have repercussions for some team one wya or another.
-
That is right albeit this time round, the rules have changed. If we won UCL, thr 4th placed team would still qualify for the UCL too meaning there would be 5 teams in UCL, assuming 4th placed team won their qualifying game.
-
No. Don't start this please Top 4 is not realistic now because there is what, only 11 games left? City have a game in hand as well. Not possible now. EL is most likely. Only way we are getting back in the UCL is if we win the UCL this season like we done 11/12 season.

Fair enough but when we have had similar circumstances we would look to play Hazard as false 9 or fit an unnatural player in that position. For instance Mourinho imo prob would have put Ander as false no.9 and let's not forget they have Depay who also can play up front. To place that much faith in an U18 player is massive. Januzaj is young but has first team experience however LVG placed faith in Rashford.
-
Rashford was playing against our U18 in the Youth Cup just a few weeks ago and now he has 4 goals in 2 appearances for United's first team. 2 coming against Arsenal. What a week for him. Just shows what being given a chance can do for a player. Solanke and Abraham are same age bracket and more prolific at youth level but Rashford might just develop more because of being given first team opportunites.
-
Long never scored against us last season but he does have a very good record against us.
-
Great win. Am I actually missing something? We managed 2 league wins in a row?? We are steadily improving. Not too far from 5th tbh. Norwich on Tuesday and reality is we should win that too. Nice to see Ivanovic turn from zero to hero. Great time to get a winner. We broke Forster's duck too Onward and upwards. Only downside to this win is that Abramovich has probably seen enough to think we can cope without Terry. The defence has performed quite well in his absence tbh.
-
Idiot is harsh You can argue he has turned around the game for us though. I just hope Baba takes this as a learning curve and improve. But unfortunately can see Kenedy starting in place of him or Azpi back at LB if Terry is fit. I have seen enougn from Baba to know he has flaws however to also know there is a good player there.
-
Baba's confidence shot just like that. I hope Hiddink is still patient with him. Especially considering he has been a fresh breath of air in recent weeks.
-
The horrendous season mostly pre-Hiddink arrival is leaving you really paro. Tottenham are not well ahead of us. I would back with the right arrivals and hopefully key players staying put, we will finish above them next season. If you look at star players, we have more than them. City will be the standout team on paper. Arsenal and us are on about the same level in terms of quality. We are better than United but they are just in a better position because of all the catastrophies going on earlier in the season. United will have loads of money but yeah they need quite an overhaul imo and it will not be easy to make them world beaters all of a sudden. But to say United and Spurs are well ahead of us is way OTT. I think we are better than both. Spurs are having an excellent season though but really the only team I think I would say is going to be the one to beat for sure next season is City. The rest we are easily capable of finishing above. And for sure I do think we will be in top 4 hopefully next season. No chance we will finish bottom half.

Get him back on pen duties please. You could see in the post-match interview that he is unhappy about not being the designated penalty taker anymore. Fabregas even was giving Hazard a dig, stating he should of just took the ball and placed it on the spot. Hazard even referred to Oscar missing his last 2 pens, as if a way indicating he will regain the rights for penalty duties
-
Yeah, agreed. He prob would make subs bench. As of now, might just miss out on the team. Still some way to go and hopefully he keeps on impressing.
-
It is only because of our position in the league why he won't be a contender for PFA player of the season or probably in the team of the season. Really he should be in team of season imo. He has been fantastic all season.
-
Just going to refer to my post over a month ago. He has showed great signs of improvement recently. The thing I like about Pedro is he never shys away. He always is making movements, looking to make something happen and is a real bonus. I love his all round action as well. Constantly tracking back like Willian does and starting an attack. Like I said before, I don't want to speak too early but let things bide in and I guarantee we will see the best of Pedro. People are too quick to jump on underperforming players and write them off permanently. He is a good player and don't get me wrong, he will have bad games but I think he will prove to be a very good signing and hopefully next season will be a huge bonus in are quest to challenge for the league again. Like I said in the post I quoted though, it is amazing how Jekyll and Hyde people on here are
-
Maybe not but I don't think he is persuaded by money. I am sure if u or City come in for him, he will say no, regardless of money chucked at him. If it is true he turned down a move to Napoli then that speaks a bit. Might not be able to offer the amounts us or City would throw at him, however he would be earning a lot more at Napoli than at Ajax. My prediction is that he still will be there next season.
-
Not surprised. We just have not given him enough chances to show how good he is consistently. He had the highest rate for successful tackles IIRC last season in the Bundesliga.
-
He has been so quick to defend Oscar against PSG but he would not say any word on Willian for his performance. I don't think he has or ever will compliment Willian or accept that he was wrong about him. When Willian never used to be a stats wonder, he would be the first to go into his thread and criticize him, stating he is not good enough etc, Oscar was a better player etc but since he performs he just leaves it. Guilt all round
