  1. Yeah, this looks like one of those Mourinho lineups where he tried to send a message to the higher-ups. I think Leicester will beat us comfortably here... It is an odd one, especially considering Pedro was really below-par against Hull too. Was expecting to see Tomori and Rudiger at the back too.
  2. We have a whole week to prepare and rested some players against Hull while they will most likely play their best team in the SF against Villa tomorrow and also the league against us. Hopefully fatigue kicks in for them. Might be blessing in disguise for them.
  3. I can't lie. I was really jealous when Arsenal got Pepe. The early signs looked promising as well.
  4. Another game where we made lives difficult for ourselves. We should have been at least 4-0 up at H/T and no surprise second half they get back into it. Pedro was poor for me, whole game. Bats looked really labored in second half and was practically out of breath. The ref obviously wanted Hull to equalize. When it was a few seconds before the 47th minute, we had a corner and the ref blew for H/T, so we were not able to take it. Hull have a corner at the end past the 3 minutes of added time, a good few second over it as well and he lets them have the corner. No wonder Lamps was fuming. One rule for one team but not the other. Through to the next round is the main plus anyway.
  5. Still needs some work, but thought he was our best player last night.
  6. I don't want to scapegoat Kante, but the saying is 'don't fix what ain't broken'. Why does Lampard keep forcing Kante back in the team after injury. Another game where there was no cutting edge and I don't see what he has done bar his reputation to warrant automatic starting place in the team. Especially in the role we are playing him.
  7. Frustrating thing is even if it is for the benefit of the team, I doubt he will come off. He most certainly will play whole game.
  8. Another example of fans writing of a player. How much fans have turned on him? I get, he is not been that impressive over last few months but the guy is 23. Has years and years ahead to brush up on his deficiencies. There is never patience from fans. If he has a good successive spell of games, you will get fans now performing a U-turn and thinking he is actually a good defender/player but instead of supporting the player, like Lamps has come out and done, there is a huge chunk of people who want him gone. Let's support our boys is the moral of the story.
  9. Not an easy game but we are defo playing them at a good time. They have several injuries and also have a game in the week against Rochdale, while we have a whole week's rest.
  10. That is this forum for you. Majority of fans wrote him off. I am not jumping to conclusions but it is not like he does not offer anything. He is a full English international. He has a decent pass, shot, can run with the ball. He is a good squad player. Not a pile of shit like some fans like to portray him. If he has another good game, the fans opinions will change like the win, like we always see.
  11. Massive bonus. Felt a bit sorry for Auba. You can see he was very upset and knew he fucked up but delighted he is suspended against us.
  12. Really impressive when he came on. Changed the game with his directness and long range passing to the other flank. Has anyone noticed his long rang passing is really good. Pulls it off quite often.
  13. How wrong was I Magnificent team spirit. Lamps needs credits. We were the much better team second half. Dominated the game. CHO caused so much problems coming on. Lamptey looked really impressive and settled really well. I think CHO should have come on for Jorginho. That nearly costs as Jorginho could have easily been sent off. Kova was not on a yellow. I know the stigma of embarrassment of coming on then coming off is not nice, but with Jorginho on a yellow and probably fortunate to stay on, that is why he should have gone off instead of Kovacic. But luckily he came up with a big goal and Tammy scored the winner to shut some people up. Willian was fantastic second half too. Big win. We keep creating a nice gap over 5th place only to squander it against some relegation battling team. Boys, stop this cat and mouse please but well done!
  14. Pulisic not being available is a huge blow. Don't see options on the bench who are going to significantly change things.
  15. Here we go. No patience and fickle fans. Some of things I read are embarrassing. Abraham has not been that good recently, although he done very well against Spurs despite not scoring. It happens but to call him mediocre. Just pathetic some of the things I read on here. Not surprised anyway. It will take on game for 'supporters' to turn once again.
  16. Has not got much praise. Bullied Kane all game who is arguable the best CF in the league. Surprised the amount of hate he gets. Similar to Willian.
  17. When he referred to Rudiger having 'broken ribs', initially I was panicking, not realizing the sarcasm
  18. Stuff your face with humble pie Henrique. Mount was fantastic.
  19. A lot of people were thinking Mount would be dropped. Him playing has been so beneficial, his link up play, pressing has been a huge bonus. Just hope we don't do anything stupid to spurn this position we find ourselves in eg, Kovacic or Zouma getting a second yellow. If we play our cards right, the counter attack could prove to our haymaker.
  20. Henrique, you do make me laugh sometimes
  21. Looks like 3-4-3. Would have rather seen James at RWB though.
  22. Seems the general consensus is that the Chelsea fans love it too. I would be of been very happy if this was our kit at the start of the season.
