I don't understand how you make that conclusion. Maybe Falcao is more talked about and sounds appealing to people but Lewandowski is only 24 so is only going to get better. Last season he managed 30 goals for his club and this season has done even better managing a total of 34 club goals and still more to come I assume. Not just the fact that he is regularly scoring in one of the most improving leagues, he has proved himself on the elite stage of the Champions League as well. A return of 10 goals in the UCL is excellent. He scored 4 against Real Madrid. Says it all, I think he is an excellent striker.
-
Well I guess he has is own right to state that even if it sounds a bit exaggerated. However I think he is pointing out to the fact that City have not established themselves on the elite stage of the Champions League yet, whereas Shakhtar have managed to win the Europa League and have surpassed the UCL group stages, in contrast to City who have not. If I was a manager I would not want to sell my best players and you have to make statements that put off other teams, especially as Shakhtar's finances are very good.

This is a wishlist transfer and should stay like that. Anyone stating we should try and sign him, it is not going to happen. He has not been there long. Dortmund have him on a long-term contract and he has no reason to leave. They have potential all over the team and they are on the verge of reaching the UCL final and possibly winning it who knows. I doubt he would want to come here for now anyway unless we make a drastic bid and Dortmund have no choice to sell but that is not going to happen. Would be amazed to see it happen but I guess wishes are there for a reason.

Went to the game. Good win, we should have had more though. Ba could have had a hatrick but relatively easy win. Michu could not get a sniff in the game. He is a very good player but next season i don't think he will be so prolific as he will be more known to players next season and from what I have seen there is not much to his game apart from his movement. Anyway game points... thought every player put in a shift. My MOTM would have to be Luiz. He made the transition from CB to the CM role today with ease and dominated throughout. Cahill also had an excellent game, loved his sliding tackle on Routledge in the first half. This is one game where I saw the serious potential of Oscar. Excellent display. Was a bit sluggish for moments of the first half but scored a brilliant finish and second half was really impressive. I am not going to have a go at Benitez because we won the game but i find it odd that he is really insistent on not using subs and if so does it very late. Minor but just surprises me. Clear to see that despite our win, Swansea still seem to be on their honeymoon period. This was one of our remaining fixtures in the PL where I thought this would be the easiest win on paper. Now, every other game in the PL we have got will be difficult. Will require 100%. If we can play the way we did against United in the FA Cup, we can beat them. Whatever happens next week, at least we still will be in top 4 until our Spurs game so just imagine beating United, would be massive as I can see Spurs destroying Southampton. Also on the other hand nice to see Hazard and Mata in the PFA team of the year :cfc:

Shutup. There is an ex-blue thread for a reason. If you don't like him, that is you, don't understand why personally why but he deserves recognition when he does well, especially as he was not given a chance to prove himself here.
-
Watching him. Excellent player, what were we thinking, I will never know. Movement, trickery, pace, goals. I don't think there is much difference between him and Ba. Different players tbh, but watching today's game I just know I am going to be regretting selling him to Liverpool.
-
Even if we can't sell Torres, I will keep him because he is in a different class to him, Torres is awful. If we can't ship him off, which would be understandable because no sane manager would want him in their team, then so be it. There is no way we should even consider keeping Torres at the expense of Lukaku.
-
Keeps on doing it week and week out. If he is not scoring he is assisting. Thompson, I think it was on GSS said he put in another MOTM performance. He has to be back with us next season. Another level to Torres and tbh I reckon he will advance Ba next season possibly if given the chance, as well.
-
You got a point about Rangers. I remember they lost to Annan at home. With Benfica, they literally win every game at home. Ajax will beat Willem. Worse thing will be though if those results go as I expected but I did not place the £1000. Would be a catastrophe tbh.
-
I think if you asked everyone even before Marin came here, of who is the better player, him or Schurrle, everyone would have said Schurrle. Schurrle is in a different league to Marin. Marin lost it from a few years ago and lost his place in the German national team. Schurrle is improving every season and scores regularly for club and country when played.

However, Swansea had a purpose to reach to the final. Now they have nothing to play for apart from pride so I am sure they will try to be much more fluent in their attacking play. Hopefully that works for us in that case.

WOOOW WHAT A GOAL FROM CHALOBAH! GOAL OF THE SEASON!
-
Haha, alright send me your account no and sortcode

Need some advice. Anyone reckon it is wise to place a grand on an accumulator featuring Ajax, Barca, Real, Benfica, PSG, Rangers and Juventus next week. Potential return of £9000. They all look easy games on paper.

Demba Ba will be eager to bang in goals for this one. Could not feature against Basel for obvious reasons and was left on the bench against Fulham and did not feature against Liverpool, which I am still struggling to get my head around. So I am sure he will be up for this. Hopefully can bag a couple of goals for this one. Should be fresh for this. Must win game!

Deserved win. Proud and justice done. Good performance from everyone today but my MOTM goes to Moses. Caused numerous amount of problems, got a goal did brilliant to win the header across to Terry which was excellently saved and he did not stop running for 90 mins. Who says he is not a good squad player?
-
Read properly. I did not deny that. I said they are a good team, that is fair...
-
They are a good team. You have already seen they beat Tottenham and most notably Bayern Munich this season.
-
Also the mistake that Bayern made this season and what United done last season. They are a very good team. The fact that they beat Bayern who are arguably the best team in the world right now, shows that they are a very dangerous team.

World Class!

Good. Ten game ban is deserved. Lost a lot of respect for Liverpool for a number of reasons. Suarez was always a nutcase and I was completely shocked with the way Liverpool (well mainly Dalglish) supported Suarez in the Evra case. When it is something serious like that I don't think it is right for Dalglish or anyone else to get involved when they don't know exactly what happened. Worse thing was Dalglish regretted supporting Suarez the way he done it and admitted he made some mistakes with how he done it. Also when we played them this Sunday I hated the way people like Carragher went on. Constantly in the referee's face and trying to get our players booked. Sturridge should have got sent off for his challenge against Bertrand and could of cause much more damage and he clearly stopped because he realised he had hurt him yet the other Liverpool players decided to play while a player was in complete agony. Then to sum it off, Liverpool have the cheek to say that the ban is not fair. Is this some fucking joke, they should just accept the charge. He bit someone and whether 10 games is a lot, you don't do it, end off. I guess karma hit Liverpool in the right place. Suarez will be banned for first few games of next season and although I don't have anything against Gerrard, he needs an operation like Allen and will undergo surgery in the summer. So might sound harsh but looks like Liverpool will be without their two key stars for opening few games of next season

Hard fixtures but if we go into every game with the intention of playing how we did against Arsenal first half and United second half, we can beta anyone. Remember CL qualification is in our hands. 50/50 if you ask me.
-
But I am sure if he would choose to he would like to show more of his attacking style but he is being asked to play a more restrictive role which he does. I also think some of his passing is underrated. Some of his long range passing is brilliant IMO.

"In my opinion Rafa did not want Chelsea to win,how can you explain not replacing Torres with Ba.He took off Hazard who was one of the few players who could hold the ball up.He always has silly excuses. He took charge of a team in second place and it looks like he will take them out of the top four" Saw this comment on the link from what remains of the day posted. Cannot really disagree. I still would like to know his reasons for this as it is really pissing me off and will continue to for quite a while. One thing I do agree with Rafa on was that calling him an interim manager was always a mistake. He got the message that he was not going to come back next season and thus he can fuck us up all he wants. I won't be surprised at all if we finish outside top 4 and the FSW has a sneaky smirk on his face back home.

At least you have stopped your rubbish of liking all his posts and you changed your sig about Rupert being "a good guy" you finally saw the truth
