  1. Butland is third choice at Stoke right now. That move has not worked out as people scripted with Begovic staying and Sorensen is the no.2 He finds himself in quite a predicament. But even though Courtois is a better keeper than Schwarzer, I would much rather Schwarzer on the bench than Courtois because Courtois should be playing regular football rather than being on the bench here. He is on loan to a very good team who finished 3rd in La Liga, are currently in the CL and have won every La Liga game so far. I would much rather that than him being back up for Cech. He is just wasting away if that happens. On the other hand we now have a proven, experienced keeper who can come in and do a shift for Cech if he is injured or so. Compare Courtois on the bench or on loan to a team like Atletico? Of course I would go for the Atetico loan. He also has fierce competition in the NT with Mignolet who is another quality keeper.
  2. Cahill won't be at RB 100%. We have got a natural and a suitable RB in Azpi and Ivanovic who can play there. Apart from that I think the selection looks good but I can see Torres starting this one. I really would like to see Jose go with Willian, Mata and Hazard. That trio will terrorize other opposition for sure.
  3. Alright, someone finally nominated me so I realised I was not a ghost so I will nominate now. But besides me of course I am going for Skipper. Think I liked his posts countless times over the last month. Always valid and well reasoned and think there is a reason he is one of a few on here who has more rep than his actual post count
  4. Well he still scored and scored against Roma and came of a brilliant season at WBA. I don't know why you mentioned AVB because that was 2 seasons ago when Lukaku was 18. He has developed much more now and is a much better striker. It was more understandable with AVB because Lukaku had only really played proper football in the Belgian league which is inferior to the PL. He since then has had a full season in the PL under his belt with 17 goals.
  5. I have a feeling the same thing. I am very annoyed with the loan but he probably realised he has not started our first 4 games and that is unlikely to change in the few weeks with Eto'o coming in so he probably wants to prove himself to the NT manager why he should be first choice and he can only do that by playing and scoring. Just really annoyed that we decided to get him out on loan now. Had he been at another club on loan from the beginning he could of had a few goals to his name and he will have to wait as Everton's first game is us and he obviously will be ineligible. Anyway hope he has a great season. Will support him on in every game and I won't be surprised for him to be scoring more than all our strikers if not combined together.
  6. He still will score more goals than our strikers I am sure do your thing. Funny thing is he has competition at Everton as well who only play with 1 striker. Hope he has another brilliant season and tries to earn his place in the Belgian team, no matter how hard it will be. Shame our next game is them as he will be ineligible but sure he will be a big player for them this season.
  7. This. The fact that we did not reward him with one fucking start and that annoys me after the season he had. It is like we already have decided he is not good enough.
  8. If it was confirmed before pre-season that Lukaku would go out on loan yeah I would be annoyed but to do it after confirming he is staying and him performing in pre-season that is a horrible way to treat him. Yes he has things to improve on but so does Torres, Ba and Etoo will probably have some flaws. But now we let out most promising striker go out on loan. Same old, same old, really. I trusted Mourinho that he would give him time but obviously not. Can't believe this. Anyway if your move is confirmed, good luck Lukaku, do your thing and score goals and prove why we made another mistake.
  9. Looks some ways it makes sense, because he is back to playing regular football but are you fucking serious??????? Mourinho confirmed he will be a big player for us this season and confirmed he is staying. Scored for fun last season, top scorer in pre-season and we loan him out. What a fucking kick in the teeth. Yeah, Etoo is on a one year deal. On paper, Lukaku comes back next season and come sback ready but knowing us we go out on buy a fucking striker and we dent his confidence. Shambles! Joke Looks like he is going Everton anyway. We really set no standards for youngsters to follow sometimes. Completely raging at this deal.
  10. Only problem with Napoli is he is more than likely to play second fiddle to Ba. A team like Roma or Valencia would be good IMO but they don't have the CL. Schalke would not be too bad of a move. Just about where he wants to go.
  11. You are right that he is somewhat wasted there but tbh that is where he would be used in Arsenal's best team. My relative who is a fervent Arsenal fan says the best team bar Ozil would of look like : Ramsey- Arteta Walcott--- Wilshere----Cazorla Giroud He is definitely best in the AMC role but more often than not he is played on the LW. He started off on in the AMC role but Wenger started to use him on the left and with Ozil coming in you will see much more of Cazorla on the left and Wilshere dropping back to a much deeper role with Ramsey.
  12. Giroud is going to be there no.1 striker regardless right now so makes sense in not spending too much if they can get a striker like Ba on loan. I reckon that would be good business.
  13. He burns out a lot round the 70th plus min but usually does the damage by then.
  14. Well United if anything. They are going desperate in their transfer search whereas Arsenal are closing in on their marquee signing.
  15. While people will state they will not win trophies, they do look stronger. Giroud is improving and scoring. Ramsey is producing quality this season and a threesome of Cazorla, Ozil and Walcott looks menacing. I do actually take Arsenal seriously this season bar that first game of the season. This is why I do not want Ba going there at any cost. He would be decent backup/rotation for Giroud.
  16. Thanks lord someone is on the same wavelength as me!
  17. Check the match reports or go on Real's site. He always played under Mourinho, was just subbed frequently.
  18. It is too much but they have the money and one of the biggest revenues in the world. They are not losing anything. They have debt but will have it covered and looking at Bale statistics it will only make Real stronger. Do get the best, you got to pay over the top sometimes.
  19. Well you did not state that at first. yes the fee is too much but Bale himself said Ronaldo is the main man. Even if Ronaldo does score more goals, no surprise. Real were desperate to get him so they payed loads of money. Plus the fact that Ronaldo has not committed his long term future to Real it is understandable and Bale is 4 years younger than Ronaldo. Way too much money but more positives than negatives IMO definitely.
  20. I hate when people claim a player is overrated just because he does not play for us. If he played for us it would be a totally different thing. Yes the fee is very high but they can afford it and I reckon he will come good there. Why is Bale overrated? He single-handedly carried Tottenham last season and has improved every single season. He scored 26 goals for Spurs last season IIRC. That is fucking brilliant. How the hell is he overrated? You don't get much players who can change a game with a moment of brilliance. He is one of them. Those late goals against West Ham and Sunderland last season that he scored were priceless. Real Madrid now have another player apart from Ronaldo who they can rely on to score goals outside the penalty area. From what I saw he has a better goal ratio from free kicks than Ronaldo has and that is striking considering Ronaldo averages more free kicks than him. He is still young and a player I will personally miss in the PL. Great signing for Real, regardless of fee, they added quality.
  21. HAHA, yes. I got a bit bored of CFC_Lucas so thought I would change it
  22. Looking like Ba will end up at Arsenal on loan. If we are going to get rid of him I think we should sell him not loan him. While it may not worked out for him here, he is stilla good striker and I reckon he would do a good job at Arsenal rotating with Giroud. We should not be strengthening our rivals like this, especially as they are likely to sign Ozil.
  23. I never nominate no one anymore until someone gives me some recognition
