He should have scored one but he was exceptional, literally. Created 2-3 brilliant chances and one for himself. Shame he got sent off but he was excellent today. i still had him as my MOTM and this is coming from someone who is not Torres biggest fan but that is the sort of performance I was waiting to see. He ran their defence rigged. Yes he needs to be more consistent but no denying today he was excellent, yes excellent.

He did very well second half IMO.

Decent point in the end but still annoys me to know if Arsenal win they go 4 points ahead of us. Anyway early days because Arsenal struggle in the big games. That second half though, that is the type of football I would like to see every week. Was proud how we played second half considering how we got ripped in the first half but even the commentators stated Spurs right now would take a point before Torres had got sent off because of how good we were playing. Not just his goal but he won literally every battle in the air and made a vital interception earlier in the game. We got Norwich next week in the league. More of the same please but safe to say Torres will start Tuesday night.

Well you know what they are going to say. Torres should have been sent off before. Shame as you can see the line he was going down. He had an excellent game though. Fully justified his selection and created some excellent chances for others and himself. Shame he will miss the Norwich game as he had perfect momentum. Oh and Mata that is why he needs to be playing Happy with the point with the circumstances but annoying because we were likely to win the game with 11 against 11.

That is why he wants him on the wing. To ensure he tracks back as much as possible. He clearly is wary of their attacking threat.

Oscar is his no.10 so will be surprised if he does that. I think Mourinho thinks he can win the game on the counter attack and because of Ramires acceleration he swill play him on the wing to catch Tottenham out. Sometimes it actually works but just disappoints me as some teams would beg to have the amount of attacking flair we have.

Fair enough Mourinho might look at this tactically but it seems quite ridiculous when you buy wingers for around £20-30m yet we still play with CM on the wing

Ramires will be on the wing. Highly doubt we will be playing 4-3-3.

Can see KDB being loaned out in January. Good player but he seems to be one who needs to do more to convince. Willian is not even in the squad but you would expect him to be involved when you are splashing out £30m so right now does not look to good for KDB. Take into fact that it seems Mata, Schurrle, Willian are all ahead of him in the pecking order, can see him moving out on loan in January.

So Torres starts. He has not exactly set lights off at Spurs yet. He scored a couple in an easy game in the EL and scored a couple PL goals but none from open play. So should be quite interesting. Both teams have good options from the bench. I hope we attack them and none of this defensive minded crap. Counter attack is fine if it works but we got no reason to let them dictate the game.

I doubt Lamela or Chadli will start. Maybe not both of them. Townsend will start I reckon because he has been quite good this season and he seems to be sticking with Sigurddson atm. However to trouble us he may go with Chadli or Lamela in place of Sigurddson.

Against Fulham, our last PL game, Mata was not in the squad at all, that is why it says KDB loses his place to Mata. Willian was in the squad in our last PL game. He is not as bad as he is made out to be tbh. He sometimes is exposed defensively because of his attacking instincts but I rate him very highly. He is strong, fast and got what you want in a fullback. But often up in one and one situations with attackers he is very decent.

We got the job done but I really do hate it when post-match analysts say "Chelsea done a professional job" etc. Makes us sound like we are a defensive minded team who don't have an interest in playing an attractive style. Same thing I heard after the game against Fulham. I hope we turn on the style against some team where we absolutely batter them!

Not too sure actually as they play Liverpool on the weekend so I guess we will not see their best team.

If he was to go out on loan he would get into many teams in top leagues so loaning to a Championship team would be no point.

Never, you suggested this about Lukaku and now KDB? Come on Zolayes far too good for the Championship. He could have been better last night but he made some very good passes, especially that one that put Torres in the clear. Just needs a set of games to give him that spark IMO. I always thought he was a good player though but I did say before the season started that there was a bit of unrealistic expectation set for him. He came on a back of a loan and while he was very good there it is always going to be harder to set your authority on a much better team like us. He will be mainly rotation and back up this season but tbh I would of like to seen him and Willian be a bit more expressive last night. I thought KDB tried to be a bite more expressive than Willian but he seemed to be stopped more in his tracks. I am sure he is going to get better as the season goes on though.

Well I am not 100% sure on whose choice it was but it would seem weird if it was Lukaku's after he said he wanted to stay from the beginning. When we were linked with Eto'o and Rooney he relished the challenge and told several sources he wants to fight for his place regardless of who we bring in.
