Whether the source is reliable or not, must be referring to outfield players.
-
Yeah no Fergie but it will not be "easy". Hopefully we will win. They drew with Swansea for instance 1-1 last season but with Moyes at the helm won 4-1.
-
OK, so the PFA are "blind fools" because they chose him in the team of the year. Your post shows complete biased. You judged him by his mistakes but you have not actually realised he has made improvements. Similar to Ramires when he came. He struggled and now is one of our key players. Similar to DDG. I hope you can look at some stats of his last season and see why he was voted into the team. I would rather not derail this thread on DDG but when I see posts like yours that state he is "shit" etc I must reply to posts like that. Your opinion yes but it shows a lack of understanding really. He is the undisputed keeper at United now for a reason. Alright, compare his errors last season to his saves and yes you might know people who disagree with his inclusion in team of the year but I am sure most United fans agree that he was excellent last season. Also like I agreed with, you keep pointing out games of DDG over 2 seasons ago. That was when he was vulnerable like I said but since then has pushed on.
-
That is such an oblivious and biased post. He struggled when he first came to United but to say he is terrible is beyond ridiculous. He was excellent last season and there is a reason why he was named in the PFA team of the season. He has improved by miles and made excellent saves last season. His saves from Mata in the FA Cup game at Old Trafford in the 2-2 game was magnificent and kept them in the tie, (fortunately they lost the replay). He has made brilliant saves and after a shaky start which can be expect of rookie keepers, he is improving and I have read that he was voted United's player of the month more than any player last season which compliments how good he was. I would say Cech is the best keeper in the world, I would not exchange him for anyone as I believe he is fantastic and what he has done for us over the years is unbelievable. But to blab on that De gea is "shit" is wrong on so many levels. You really did not see the amount of times he saved United sometimes. If it was not for DDG, Real Madrid would have won that first leg at the Bernebau last season by about 5 goals.

I was referring to BlueMourinhoKing who made that comment. I partly agree with you but ignore the Villa game, when Mata is out wide right for instance, he will not necessarily stay there. He will roam all about the pitch looking for the ball, dropping into holes and I think Mourinho still sees this in him and once Mata is fully match sharp I believe he would do a good job out there. Like Ozil, he sometimes will start off there but gradually interchange positions within the game.
-
But it does not mean that Mata cannot play there. Look at Ozil. He is not quick but he does a good job when out wide. Mata can do same, despite lacking the pace. Yes, Willian will help us out wide but that is jumping to conclusions to think he is signing William because Mata cannot play out wide.
-
I get your angle fully however the aforementioned players have nothing to do with Willian arrival. Different positions for a start apart from Piazon who I don't think is good enough. However players we have already, capable of doing a job will see chances limited.
-
What do you mean by "ultimate Moruinho type of player"? I think it will be the case with most of our attacking midfielders that they will be rotated. Well even if he is first choice for Belgium I think it would be best for him leading up to the World cup year if he played regularly as it will leave him in the best shape and form possible.
-
Good player but can't help but think he is making it harder for himself to get into the national team for Brazil. At Tottenham he certainly would have been an indispensable player for them and given a free role. Who knows but those are my initial thoughts. He would stand out at Tottenham but we have so much quality in this department already. probably wants the CL footy, maybe more money, who knows.
-
That is jumping to conclusions based on one game you saw Mata play out there.
-
But IMO he will need to be playing. The more I see of Mirallas he gets better and better. The amount of talents your national team has is amazing. There is also Mertens who has stepped up from the Eridivisie to the Serie A. Also generally for KDB form and fitness, I think he needs to be playing week in week out because he is a very good player. Whatever happens he will be used as rotation. For instance he was nominated our MOTM against Hull but next game he did not feature. This is going to be something he will have to accept if he wants to be a part of the Chelsea squad this season.
-
However with World Cup year coming up that will not be enough for KDB. There is quite a lot of competition in that Belgium team and if he is not playing regularly a player like Mirrillas who I like could possibly take his place.
-
There is a difference. I reckon Willian is a good player and will add some quality but look into the bigger picture. People are not complaining for any reason. Some members already feel we have good enough options in the attacking midfield positions and many who questioned us not signing anyone primarily wanted another striker, or a CM.
-
We still are looking at doing that though. Mourinho already said Rooney is still a primary target with another alternative.
-
WOW, difference of opinion happens so quick. When it looked like he was signing for Spurs a few days ago some were like he is a good player while a big majority was like he was an overrated player but now he is likely to join us opinion changes quickly. Is going to be really interesting to see how our strongest trio will turn out to be. Rotation looks like the main thing I guess.
-
We done it with Benayoun so nothing surprises me in football. Plus I don't think Moses would want to move there. With all respect I am sure better teams would be in for him.
-
Watch Arsenal get him on loan. Saves Wenger from spending as usual. They got Benayoun on loan from us when they wanted more depth. Can see them doing the same but Moses is a much better player than Benayoun.
-
But the way you go on about Mikel is like you have a personal agenda against him. "Tarnishing the myth that you (Mikel) can actually play football". That sounds patronizing and is quite unfair. Mikel might be in the starting lineup against United. That is my opinion anyway because those are the sort of games I can see Mourinho using him in. As I said nothing against you but your hate for him goes way over the top sometimes.
-
Yeah I agree with Shaw, fantastic talent, would love him here in a few years. However the contrasting point about Cole is when he did make them runs under Ancelotti is it not ironic that we won the league that season? That is why I think if we are to win the league we need more from our fullbacks like him because both our FB are the same. Also your point about Marcelo. Yes, that is what I feel Cole should do more, not to the same extent but some attacking intent because it gives you more bite and Marcelo attacking instincts got him a goal and proved a valuable asset for them.
-
That is why I had mixed feelings when we offered him a new contract. He needs to offer more apart from being a good defender. Look at Gibbs, Evra, Clichy, Enrique, Marcelo, Alaba, Alba, etc list goes on but my point is most fullbacks at big teams are very efficient at going forward and adding more to the attack. They regularly make overlapping runs and support the wingers. Cole just is not able to do this anymore and because of sometimes when we play the trio of Mata, Oscar and Hazard in which none are direct wingers as they like to cut in it would be good to have a fullback down the wings so that they can be looked at for the pass but Cole can't do this and I believe it will be a hindrance this season. Someone like Baines would be perfect here because he is a decent defender and brilliant going forward and probably has one of the best engines for a fullback I have seen.
-
Don't take this the wrong way or anything but it starts to get bloody irritating when you keep moaning about Mikel 24-7. An opinion is fine but all you ever do is post about how bad Mikel is and why Mourinho does not want him etc... and how good Lampard is, nothing else. Sounds like you have a personal agenda the way you keep ranting on about Mikel. He might go he might not but if he stays I will be pleased and I still feel he has a lot to offer to the team.

The thing is many people think Ivanovic had a good game and some differ. Apart from couple moments he was excellent, won nearly every single aerial duel and Agbonlahor did not rip him to shreds. He got past him about once but apart from that Agbonlahor was well marked and struggled to make a similar impact like he did against Arsenal. Ivanovic done ver well. Got the winning goal and was defensively solid IMO. A neutral fan I went to the game with game with randomly complemented his performance and I agreed. I don't think he had a bad game at all.

I still think you are over the drinking limit from when you posted that Schwarzer should be in goal over Cech for the Villa game. I will wait until the drink is out of your system before I consider replying to you
