It is ridiculous how blinded people are. How the hell is he overrated? 17 PL goals last season. 14 PL goals this season. Yet people are forgetting he has done this all at the age of 19/20. In the end of the day he scored goals. Something we have been crying out for. He has flaws but who doesn't at his age. He will get better with age and time. I think people underestimate his hold up play. He has played a very important role. Like I have said before I would rather listen to Martinez who described him as the "complete striker" IIRC. He has been the one watching him and managing him this season and he realizes how integral Lukaku is to his team's plan. The way people are so quick to bash our players if bloody ridiculous. What else does he have to do to fucking show he needs a chance. He scores in big games and once again has got into double figures. I am not stating he should be our no.1 but he would be more than capable of being a back up/rotational striker here. If trusted, he will be around better players next season in a more stable team all around and I am sure he will come up with the goods. Your first sentence sums it up. He is a kid. How many kids do you see doing what he does at his age? Not much. Think. He will be unstoppable in a few years. You won't appreciate what you had until it is gone. If we sell him I am sure we will regret it in a few years as we are going to see one of the best strikers around as he will improve. Having a striker like him at his age is a bonus. Baker is different from Barkley imo. Barkley is a lot more explosive. Baker is good at keeping possession but he does not have that dribbling and explosive acceleration like Barkley. I am hopeful that he can make it here but I cannot guarantee it simply because of our track record with other players from our academy. If he keeps going the way he is I am hopeful he will make it here as he is a genuine talent but for me it is really 50/50. Kakuta was a weird one because I enjoyed watching him when he played in the youth cup for us. Simply was amazing to watch but never fulfilled his talent. Hard to compare RLC and Baker. Right now Baker is slightly ahead in development and playing level. RLC is a beast physically and if it was not for his injuries earlier in his career he probably would be a bit more advanced in development. In the long run I reckon RLC might make it here ahead of Baker. Not because I think he is better but because I reckon his build and physical strengths will help him in making it here and he is slightly younger than Baker as well but going back to Barkley, he is more similar to RLC. RLC is not an attacking midfielder but has that ability like Barkley to power past people with their close ball control and power. Hope that helps mate.

People suggesting that we should/might sell him. Get a grip! Selling him in the summer would be totally ludicrous and hopefully that is the last thing on Jose's mind. People jump way too quickly to make conclusions. He has had a fantastic season and for the majority of it has improved his defensive work rate. He will be vital to our push next season for PL and CL glory.

While we have a chance of winning the league we should be sending out our strongest team possible bar couple rotations but not youngsters. If we had nothing to play for then playing the younger ones would be understandable but we have something to play for. Kalas was excellent last week but now Terry is back and assuming he is 100% fit I expect to see him and Cahill at the back. Baker has had an excellent season but he will not feature on Sunday because we are still fighting for the league. MVG too will not in the lineup, simply because of this so we should expect to see the strongest team available and now we are out of the UCL we are only fighting for one thing: the league. No need to rest players or play youngsters. Strongest team possible please!

Filipe is quality. I know he is turning 29 in the summer but if it is true I think he will add much needed quality and probably will do us well for the next 3 years. I would be happy with the move tbh if he serves us well for that period of time. If it is below the £20m mark I would be for it as he is good defensively, excellent offensively and a full back who can deliver brilliant crosses. A player like him would help Hazard and I reckon Filipe is up there with the best LB in Europe right now. Right now he is better than Shaw. I would like Shaw here but the fee being suggested is putting me off so it is a tough one.

What people snivelled about was seeing an actual 'B' team out there. Meaning some of us did not want to see Ake, Christensen, MVG, Baker and Kalas to start on the same lineup. There is a difference.
