Well I can understand why that annoys people but when you see such comments it really annoys me. Why do people slate our striker who while has his flaws has got into double figures 2 season in a row. Look, I know he has some growing up to and play to improve but how many big clubs would love to have a striker like him on their books. When Costa was 21 please compare his stats to Lukaku. Yes, Costa has proved himself on the big stage but he is around 5 year older than Lukaku. What annoys me about Costa is his nasty antics that can cause trouble to himself and the club if he gets sent off for doing one of his 'crazy moments'. Same way Lukaku speaks to the press too much, Costa too often loses his cool. I am not saying you should not be annoyed with him for his comments and arrogance but come on he is young and just a bit immature maybe. He will learn but you should not let that turn into hatred as your comments seem to suggest. It would be best to get behind him. The last time Belgium played in the WC, Lukaku was in primary school. The more he plays with Belgium he will get better but as I reitirate he is 21. Regardless of what he says we can't expect him to be a world beater and your comments of him being a "joke of a striker" is harsh considering his age.

WOW. So much double standards. I knew this would happen. Costa has a below average game and he is rightly defended but people are waiting at the door to bash Lukaku. I am not denying that he had a bad game or am I saying he should be the no.1 striker but fucking relax. This is Belgium's first game in a WC for 12 years. They were all average in first half and some second half. Second game I am sure they will have better team chemistry and we hopefully will see a better performance. But sorry to say some of our 'fans' should be embarrassed with their comments. Especially the one who described him as a "joke of a striker" or something down those lines. We should be getting behind him regardless of his comments to the media. He is 21 and it amazes me to see how people jump on his back but when he does well you don't see the ones criticising him complementing him. I don't judge strikers on one games that is why I am not going to slate Lukaku or Costa but please don't act as if Lukaku was poor while defending Costa who was also poor despite winning the penalty. Patience of our fans is poor and shameful. He had a bad game. That does not make him a bad striker ffs.

I am Jamaican. Just not born there. I respect England a lot and when I say I feel Jamaican that is not because I have any thing against them. I just love being a Jamaican but yeah I'm only realising now that people thought I lived or was born there. I started supporting Chelsea around 2001 when my mother bought me a bubble bath shaped as a footballer and it was dressed in a Chelsea outfit. I had not even asked my mum to buy this but for some reason she did so then I just felt associated with the club and also when I was younger I was in and out of Chelsea and Westminster hospital. They were my favourite team and I remember the likes of Babayaro, Lampard and Hasselbaink (who was my favourite ever Chelsea player) come see me and it was one of my best ever occasions. They gave me signed posters and so on and I was able to talk to Hasselbaink and I was literally star strucked. My love for Chelsea continued from there. It is weird the transition with how I have seen us move on. When I first started supporting Chelsea we were usually finishing around 5/6th but weirdly I simply supported Chelsea because of one little bubblebath thing that gave me a connection to them. Weird isn't it? Also when I was in the hospital the Chelsea team done a relaly nice gesture and gave free tickets for a game against Bolton which we won 5-1. Parents were so grateful and yeah story continued from there Majority Arsenal and United I am the only Chelsea fan in the family I have only been Jamaica about 3 times amazingly. I should be going back next year but when I have been on recent holidays I have tended to go to the Canary Islands etc and other European islands because Jamaica is expensive if you go frequently and I find the girls from Spain etc sexy :eyebrows:

Hopefully. We started off well in the qualification stages then messed up in the latter stages of qualifying. I hope so. Puncheon is a player I like a lot. Think he had a very good season with Palace and is really underrated. Definitely a quality addition. I have pessimistic hopes that Nathan Dyer will choose Jamaica but if he does definitely more confident. Can only hope. Been too long. I wouldnt agree but if it someone you hate why not Only joking. Don't condone killing anyone unless it is necessary.

We were sponsored by Autoglass then So much nice parts of Jamaica. Lovely holiday. I say Kingston He use to be one of my favourite rappers/singers. I still play out his old CD in my car regularly. I get jerk chicken and white rice every week. That is always consistent. Think you would enjoy it I think it is good for the country. Some young people who are carrying a split could have been given a criminal record just for carrying a spliff which is sometimes harsh and it affects their chances of getting jobs. Also decriminalising the use of drugs such as marijuana reduces the likelihood of police corruption and most importantly the war/battle of drugs has caused the fatalities of many lifes. That is my opinion on this. Cricket defiinitely. Jamaicans love their cricket. Cricket. Football is loved in Jamaica. Many people in Jamaica watch English football and support English based teams. We are so shit at football but yet love it so much Jamaicans do like other nationalities. Just a stereotype that a lot of people seem to associate with Jamaicans. But in the country itself not sure how much of an issue it is as I don't live out there and have only been on holidays in the nice parts. I rarely smoke. If I do smoke it is just the odd cigarettes. Bloody hell. I completely forgot about the hotseat thing. My bad Just to clarify I have a Jamaican flag and feel Jamaican because all of my family are practically born there so I feel Jamaican. But I was born in England, raised there and don't go Jamaica that much. So with the weed questions etc I really do not know But I will try to answer as much questions as I can but yeah I am like Daniel Sturridge. Not born in Jamaica but most of my family are. OK I am aware of this thread now so come firing with the questions

I don't think you can draw much from his performance apart from his non-football antics such as headbutting players. That is becoming frequent and he needs to cut it out. One time he will do a stupid thing and get banned for 3 or more games for violent conduct. But come on mate let's not twist what people said. I don't recall one person saying that Lukaku is better than Costa? People criticised his performance and that is it. Some had a knee-jerk reaction and said he is overrated etc but there was not one person that specifically said Lukaku is better than Costa.
-
Well Ajax named him player of the season for a reason.
-
Poor performance really. Was decent first half and won a penalty and to sum it up done a stupid thing once again. He needs to cut that out of his game. I don't want to sound pessimistic but had this been Lukaku you just know you would have got comments like "this shows why he is not ready" and his understanding of the game is not there etc. I am positive he will do the job but his acts of stupidity concerns me. How many times does he lose his cool? He needs to work on it because we can't let that affect us next season and it worries me tbh because once he will get caught out once and miss 3 games. But anyway positive side, I am sure that was just an off game for him and the rest of the Spanish players but situations like this is why I hope Lukaku is around next season. If he is off form we can have a player like Lukaku come on and add more impetus upfront and most importantly will hopefully make Costa perform better knowing he has got a quality young striker waiting to take his place.

I hope you did not just write that for more rep points. Actions speak louder than words. I assume you will stick to your word though. -
Let's steal Arsenal's song for him. After me: "We got Cesc Fabregas, We got Cesc Fabregas" (REPEAT)

Well Martinez said a similar thing himself: "As a number nine he is as complete as you are going to get in world football. Something which is a rare breed - to have such a talented footballer having that target man role". http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11671/9189398/premier-league-everton-boss-roberto-martinez-praises-romelu-lukaku

Just because Kalas has gone out on loan, I don't think it necessarily means we will promote Zouma or Omeruo as 4th choice CB. With all the money we have available I can see Mourinho spending big on a CB. Many might disagree or think it is unnecessary but there is no way I can see Mourinho going with Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic and perhaps Zouma as our 4 CB. Ivanovic is a very reliable CB as he has proven but he is not a world class CB. Terry is getting on and while is still a quality defender he may need to sit out the every so often game. If Terry is injured or in need of a rest I think Mourinho would rather a proven CB there. I know Mourinho approved of the Zouma signing and I have high hopes of him myself but I am not sure if Jose thinks he is ready to step in the firing line as of yet. When the deal was announced that we were signing him he spent a lot of his games on the bench at a team much more inferior to us. Playing for a team challenging for multiple honours is tough. Then you have Ivanovic who always seems to impress at CB but is mainly used as a RB and I think Jose wants a proven CB who is capable of making sure that Terry and Cahill are not guaranteed starters. I can easily see Jose making a move for Benatia or Mangala. That is why I think if anything the loan of Kalas indicates that Mourinho is going to be signing another top class CB. Mourinho likes competition and next season he is going in with the mentality to win. He will make that known as well and that is why I think he wants quality. Just can't see Mourinho having Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic and Zouma/Omeruo as our CB for next season at all. Terry is 33 and tbh while it will air questions as to the trusting of our young CB etc, buying another CB like Benatia or Mangala would help a lot next season. City won the league but you can see how much of a loss he was when he was out injured despite them having many other CB and I am sure Mourinho has assessed these sort of situations for next season and in case an injury happens to Cahill or Terry we have quality replacements available.

What a sad poster or infact I will call you obsessed. Your only posts in this forum are ones that slate Mikel. If he stole your girlfriend I can understand the pain but wow the way your posts only ever seem to come in this thread is bizarre. You rarely get involved in any other discussion on the forum as you are so intent on derailing this thread by bashing Mikel

Mate at his age, yeah it is good learning from the likes of Terry etc but the most important thing is games. Playing regular top flight football is is the key to a players development. Training, playing and learning helps but the most important aspect as young players will tell you is playing. Don't take this offensively or anything as it is intended with humour but there are countless posts of yours that have spelling mistakes so that is quite hypocritical in fact very

Jesus Christ! Are some people having a fucking laugh. Lukaku scored goals in pre-season and yes I was watching the match against Real. He was poor but some people concluded from that Torres suits the system better than Lukaku. What a load of BS! But to say he was not impressive in friendlies is just ludicrous. Most fans expected him to be starting in the opening game against Hull. Jason Cundy and many other Chelsea pundits thought he earned his place and while I agree with TOPTB point that he could have worked hard to earn his place and that he should not be handed starts just when he expects it, it is not as if Torres or Ba earned that right as well. Just for the record for the clip showed of Lukaku's goal against Roma, yeah Hazard and Ba were the key but Lukaku scored the winner. End of. That point is irrelevant and whoever concluded that Torres is a better fit than Lukaku in Mourinho's system or whatever bloody system we use needs to see a therapist because that is just rubbish. Can't believe some of the comments I am reading on here tbh.

Fully agree with everything here apart from the Cole mention. Azpi won his place on merit. After we lost 2-0 to Newcastle Cole lost his place and Azpi earned it and put in very good performances and tbh Lukaku probably would have done the same as he is better than all the strikers we had on board IMO. But yeah the talk about him being overrated is ridiculous IMO. He has flaws like any 21 year old would but he has qualities that many kids his age don't even possess. While he has flaws it seems he us underrated. People seem to write him of leading the line but until he us given a chance to show that we will never know. Many people seem to slate his flaws like his touch whilst ignoring his strengths while forgetting he is a kid and while he could keep quiet sometimes he can turn out to be one of the best strikers in the world and he may come across as arrogant but if us because he knows his current qualities and the level he can and probably will reach. But yes I can see Lukaku's stance. Costa is reasonably young and maybe Lukaku thinks it will be difficult to overtake a striker we are spending over £30m on. But I hope he is kept around because no doubts him and Costa on board will provide a flurry of goals.

So have you seen the actual interview now? Maybe you judged the situation too quickly. Now it looks like me and Zolayes was proven right. People trying to just cause unnecessary rifts. That is why I say wait until the real context of what he said comes out because I would never believed he would have said that.

His end product is poor but not that surprising to me that he said that because Moses is very tough to face when he is running at you direct. There is no doubt that he is a handful. He is one of a few wingers I can name that has managed to completely rip Sagna to shreds when he was playing for Wigan. He is not good enough for us but one on one is very capable of being a nightmare for fullbacks with his pace and power.
