Would be absolutely gutted if we let him go. Like people say Courtois could be our no.1 for the next two decades, Lukaku can be a key player for us for the next decade. You don't get much strikers as talented as him at his age. I hope these rumours are false. Selling him would be ludicrous. Even he has things to work on, that is fine, he is young but we shouldn't sell him. Regardless if he has spoke out of turn he got 17 PL goals last season and is on his way to surpassing that this season. He gets goals. I would hate to see him go to a rival club but at the same time will hate to see him be sold to anyone even abroad. In a few years time we are going to see him being a total beast whoever he is at and really that should be us. But while is agent may say he is in talks with other clubs about Lukaku I will only read more into it from until I hear from Jose but would totally not make sense selling a striker who is good for most PL clubs now and is only 20. Like WTF? We do set are selves up to be the laughing stock of the league with the way we deal with some of our players.
-
Let's be honest though. If we had brought on Mikel at 2-1 then conceded we would of get man saying things like "why was Jose so defensive and hoping that a 2-1 loss would win us the tie"? We can't have things both ways. We were losing the game and while it may of helped the defence our aim still should of been to equalise. Can you imagine if Mikel was brought on at 2-1 then we conceded another? All hell would break lose on here. I am not stating you would of said this but a majority imo would of stated Mourinho was complacent and too defensive in bringing on Mikel. And to be honest with you the third goal we conceded was not due to a lack of a Mikel. It was just sloppiness and complete unawareness by the defence from a throw in.

No. It was Mourinho's. It is ridiculous that people state Lukaku made the choice. Mourinho obviously could not guarantee him game time ahead of Torres and Eto'o and because Ba stayed he decided to grant him a loan which has cost us now when you think about it. Some of the biggest clubs would love to have Hazard. If PSG or Real bid for Hazard in the summer and he states he wants to go will it happen at a heartbeat? No, because Mourinho sees him as a key player and in the end of the day makes the decision. So in the end it was Mourinho's decision, not Lukaku's. Lukaku is the footballer, Mourinho is the manager!

Ibra is a big loss on paper for PSG if he is indeed out but even when he went off tonight they improved and to be honest with you for the second leg them going with Lavezzi, Cavani and Lucas poses much more of a threat because they have a two goal lead and most likely will sit back and counter. The aforementioned 3 are perfect players for them to use on the counter with their pace/acceleration and we may have problems dealing with that. We are going to do more of the attacking and one slip up may just result in a goal for them and being against those 3 on the counter is a frightening prospect. Either way the tie is not finished and still believe we can do it.

Ramires to get a second yellow. You saw it here first. The timer has been set. The bomb just needs to go off now. A time ticking bomb Ramires is I tell you.

I almost can 100% guarantee he will be a PSG player next season. Cavani will probably come out and state that he will like to play more games in his favoured position but he is happy to do what asked and he has no intention of leaving. The fact that he still has 21 goals despite playing numerous games out wide shows how good of a player he is. Just imagine where we would be with him in our team. But too valuable for PSG to sell. Not going to happen.
-
One of the most ambidextrous players you can get. Excellent to watch. You would struggle to guess which foot he is.

PSG were not much difference to us. Not belittling any of us but saying PSG was no one before their owner came is untrue and quite hypocritical. They were similar to us really. They have been in the UCL without their rich owners and have always been a big team in France. Like us though, since we have got rich owners it has improved our success on the field. Nice way to put it. We are just throwing stones in glassed houses if we criticise each other's history. Let's just talk about the game.
-
I hope you done the same when Luiz took those long shots against Fulham and Basel last season
-
Would not make sense for him to join Real unless he wants to enjoy the nice weather out there. Like the situation here, he will be playing second fiddle to Marcelo.
-
What a potential title winning save he just made! Saves like that might prove the difference between whether Atletico win the title or not. Fantastic save!
-
It could have been worse but I don't really see it as a positive as City have gained a point over us and now are only 2 points behind with 2 games in had over us.
-
While it is good to see him having another season of goals and developing well it is also reasonable to say that loaning him out as proved to be our downfall in probably falling short of the title. Lukaku would of made up for our strikers profligacy in front of goal in many matches this season. Today is just one of a few. But there has been Stoke, West Ham, West Brom and Everton and there are matches where we have just about won thanks to an individual brilliance from Hazard or other midfielders. Really frustrating to see how the lack of prolific strikers has let us down time and time again and while he would not of had as much playing time as at Everton he would of been useful at these sort of matches ahead of useless Torres. As much as Eto'o has improved and would be happy to see him stay another year, I hope it is not at the expense of Lukaku because next season Eto'o will probably naturally decline and will not be able to play on a consistent basis whereas Lukaku will be fresh, improved and a player who most importantly will get us goals.

What are you smoking?

Majority of Everton fans love him and believe he has been a revelation. The minority of Everton fans will say that because he certainly does not play for himself. That is weird that they said he does not fit into their style unless they play direct as Everton like to play on the floor and most of his goals have been from counter attacking play of on the floor. Martinez is a very much possession based manager and he highlighted how important Lukaku is to Everton. Interesting read btw: http://eplindex.com/51588/chelseas-lukaku-dilemma-daniel-sturridge-redux.html

They are extremely unlikely to drop points to Southampton at home. If they had to play them away can side with you but at the Etihad I reckon City will give them a roasting. Especially with Southampton's open style of play.

So far yes but you are writing him off to early. He only joined them in January who have been poor all season under a tactically inept manager who is unsuitable for them. He has age on his side and when they realise they need a new manager you might just see a different Mata. I think many people believed Mata would not been an automatic solution to United's problems. They need a serious revamp first which starts from defence to central midfield and then we can start taking them seriously as title contenders again.
-
I agree. I reckon Azpi has done enough to convince him he deserves the LB slot. I reckon we still have strong interest in Shaw but he won't be an automatic first team starter possibly if we buy him. Ivanovic has his flaws and some don't want him as the RB but I feel Mourinho wants Ivanovic as his no.1 RB next season as well. If Shaw comes I think he will have to bide his time or we possibly loan him back because even though Azpi is not a natural LB he has performed exceptionally there and defence has not been a weak point for us recently so next season I still believe with everyone fit and new signings our preferred four will be Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry and Azpi.

He is 20 and might have areas of improvement but we have the chance of winning the league this season with strikers who are inferior to Lukaku IMO. Eto'o has turned up in big games but he has been rather inconsistent in many games himself. Lukaku has 12 goals in 21 starts this season and he is likely to beat his goal tally which he had for WBA last season. That is rather impressive and I believe there are many games where if he was playing he would have proved a decisive difference. People keep mentioning his flaws and as someone else pointed out, they seem to ignore his strengths. He is absolute handful for most defenders. His hold up play is not even as bad as some think. He has 6 PL assists for a reason so he has many elements to his game. In the summer he will have 2 full seasons of playing PL football. He deserves a chance. Maybe he is not ready to be first choice striker but maybe he is. His goal tally will suggest he is and he has proven he can score and make an impact in big matches as well. Every year as shown his goal tally looks to get better and I think that also helps when he has played with better teams. WBA to Everton is a better loan because Everton are a better team so surely when he is with us he will get goals. I think any world class striker who joins us may struggle. They might not but over the years the striking position apart from Drogba has not been one we have looked at with success. He is doing what ahs been asked of him which is scoring goals. Yes, his first touch, defensive awareness may need improvement but he is a striker and scores goals which is what I want and has provided assists for his teammates as well. There is a reason that Martinez described him as an "irreplaceable footballer" earlier this month and how he believes he is a complete no.9 and btw he is the manager who has been working with him this season and got Everton competing for the CL top 4 so I would be aligned to trust what he says. Just think people should give him more credit on here. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11671/9189398/premier-league-everton-boss-roberto-martinez-praises-romelu-lukaku

This was how I was like when I watched MOTD highlights

His form has been so good that I think regardless of whether we buy a new LB like Shaw in the summer he will still be the no.1 left back. Like Lahm who is a RB but has played a majority of his career at LB for club and country and performed brilliantly there. Can put Azpi in that category now. A very accomplished LB. Contrary to what some may think, he is also very decent at going forward on the left hand side. His stamina is second to none and has been a complete revelation this season. He is a certainty to go to the world cup for Spain. He has a good shout for being the first choice RB and will also make a good back up option at LB for Alba. Have also realized in many games that his positioning in one on one situations is excellent. Rarely gets beaten and is excelling every match. Appreciate the way BT Sport acknowledged his improvement and how good he has been this season.

Another phenomenal game. 2 assists. His first tackle to win the ball back from Cazorla in the first place was magnificent and set up the brilliant counter attack goal from which Schurrle scored. His second assist for Salah was tremendous. Pirlo-esque. To spot a pass from there and execute it like that is top class. Fantastic player and the complete holding mid we have been requiring for years

Perfect game for Torres to get on the scoresheet. Brilliant so far but we can be a bit more relentless if we choose to. We are biding our time. I don't want to spare no sympathy for them and want a battering!
