look at all the people agreeing with u You start off right. Kakuta was higher rated. but right now Pogba is higher rated than Ronaldo and probably Hazard too. does that mean he's better? no. has he been better than either of them? no. I said Musonda is the most talented we've had. Whatever hype was associated with Kakuta and whatever high expectations were placed on him due to media is irrelevant to that. Fool.
-
We quite obviously haven't had someone this talented in our youth ranks ever, unless you want to count Terry and Kakuta like a fucking fool
-
so why didn't we sell him to Tottenham? obviously a team somewhere in the world will have bid for Lloris & they'd bite our hands off to have Cech; they wouldn't be contenders to us and he'd still be in London. why didn't he push to stay in London at a good ol' team on the up like Crystal Palace? It is absolutely inexcusable to move to Arsenal from Chelsea. who the fuck does that? No legends do.

I can think of better defensive midfielders but not any better 'anchors' per se
-
Nope. Everyone from that crop of La Masia youngsters have something special trained into them, which is why Oriol found his footing in the Prem easier than most foreign youngsters would at his age, and the same went for Gerard. You'd expect to pay more for a prospect from Chelsea's academy with 0 appearances, than you'd expect to pay for a Burnley academy prospect with 0 appearances, and there's plenty of reasons behind that, the main one being the fact they've been around coaches & players that are better than those at 95% of other clubs, and are thus likely to have more up their sleeve than your average Joe. In most cases, you pay a man more if he graduated from Harvard rather than if he graduated from his local college, right? You'd certainly fork out a higher fee to acquire them; simply because they were trained somewhere better.
-
£4.2m is a bit cheap for Deulofeu is it not? He was supposed to be the next La Masia product to do big things; i think he's still got that ability in him. His place of training should add at least £2m to his value IMO.
-
They will once he proves he's a top 10 winger. He's brilliant and those who've seen him enough shouldn't feel shy about saying so.
-
idk if its opinions changing or that there's just an entirely different bunch of people on here now but when we were looking to sign him for around £20m 2/3 seasons ago you'd struggle to find 3 members on here who didn't follow the crowd in calling him a shit and useless player just because he lacked pace
-
he's cute and a hard worker !!!!!!!

If you're Juve and you're offered £40m for Vidal this summer, and Pogba stays (just as likely as him leaving), you take that £40m and go buy yourself a replacement for £20m & everything continues merrily. Juventus aren't in a position to turn down such figures for a 28 year old, but we're in a position to put forward such offers.
-
Right but who's talking about improving the XI? It doesn't need improved.
-
did i miss Cuadrado being linked with Juve or something? link

are there any top, 'available' players for us to go after? yes. every player is available when you have as much money Chelsea has. there's no wrong in wanting better of the club and expecting us to be capable of launching £20m and £30m bids left and right for the best players from teams such as Atletico, Valencia, Sevilla, Roma, Lyon, wherever. They all have brilliant players, who aren't 'for sale' and thus not 'available' in that sense, but for the right price, these clubs aren't going to be turning down our offers. If we wanted to, we could offer £40m for Vidal or Otamendi or whoever. They're top players. They'd suddenly be available. What about Carrasco? Monaco are not the powerhouse they were expected to be. In fact there's plenty top players we could take interest in.* there's no excuse for looking for bargain buys this summer. *I keep adding and deleting and adding examples because there's so many examples of top players we could buy. (Krychowiak, Iborra, Bellarabi, Moutinho, pretty much any Borussia Dortmund player)

Just because a player is young doesn't mean he has potential to fill out still and this is what concerns me a little. I think Pogba is already at his peak and what you see is what you'll get. I don't see in which areas he could become a better player without sacrificing his other qualities first. Eliminating this intangible 'potential' factor should IMO slash the transfer fees being touted by at least half. In today's market I'd not be mad at £25m for him. And i know he won't go for that, because football is stupid. But you absolutely must be a more consistent & influential player to command such fees as £60m.... :| So much money for such little individual influence is cringe-worthy.

If i lay dying in a hospital bed the only person i'd want to see is Traore.
-
I wish we could straight-swap him for Eriksen
-
I never thought i'd see a player play just like Torres again !!!!!!!!!
-
The fact that only Mata, Silva & Valencia made more assists than him during his last season at Arsenal is quite bonkers. That was a freak season. If he can play anything like he did then, he's worth double what he'll leave Barcelona for.
-
Atletico have signed their next 2 £50m+ strikers. Impressive. Vietto & Correa is just selfish, especially if they get Martinez
-
I'll say again. A player who wants to be loyal to this club, but still stay in London, should put aside personal glory of wanting to stay in the Champions League, and in Petr's case, simply chase the league record at a club like Crystal Palace or even Fulham. The board should have blocked this move and Roman's cute little gesture to Petr allowing him to choose any club he wants is a very bad way to run a business. Strengthening a rival especially in a position they've been crying out for an improvement in for years is a boneheaded decision. Suddenly Arsenal have the best goalkeeper in the league. Good one, Roman.

Why Chelsea can’t sell Loic Remy in order to sign Falcao
Leif replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
People will argue that Falcao is magically 'better' because at one time, he seemed more technically gifted, but say Diego Costa gets ruled out for the season right after the transfer window closes, I'm positive if we make Remy our #1 striker we could expect him to reach 20 league goals, whereas with Falcao, i'd be hoping he could get 15+ goals. -
It seems we'd all be ok with this signing whereas the CFC fans on Twitter are bitching and crying about it saying "If Mikel isn't good enough, Song definitely isn't" etc. I wonder how much they've actually watched Song play It's odd how the personalities on here, Twitter, and then WAGNH all contrast quite greatly.

He plays like Meireles with more technique end of.
