In this system the three central backs, the wingbacks and the central midfielders must do all the defensive work while the two wingers and the striker can play free and be creative. Kanté and Matic can sometimes help our attacks, but they are key players because their defensive work. Baker is young but I'm pretty sure that he will never become a better defensive player than those two. Under Mourinho, Fábregas played in a pretty defensive role, but Conte doesn't count on him at all because he can't name him in the starting eleven in the middle of the midfield. Fábregas have a couple of hundred matches behind him at the very top level, still Conte doesn't think his defensive skills are good enough for this system, so it seems to be unlikely that Baker would ever play next to Matic or N'Goló.

I don't see him getting a chance here because he is a playmaker which we don't need. Oscar and Fábregas are out of favour, I doubt Baker could make it in 3-4-3.

In his first season at Chelsea he spent most of the time sitting on the bench while Oscar, Mata and Hazard played. Still, he managed to score 10 goals and many times he seemed like our most dangerous man. When Mourinho arrived we sent him out on loan 3 times to 3 different teams, which is just cruel(see Chalobah).. At Stoke and at West Ham he had some outstanding performances, but Premier League teams just don't build on loan players. Of course he is not a player like Hazard, but even if a winger, he'd be a useful squad member at any English team.

He is an outstanding player, but if we stick with this 3-4-3 I can't see his place in the system. He is a no10 or a LW. On the left Hazard have a solid spot and there is no central offensive midfielder in this system.

Azpi plays very well as a CB but with a healthy Zouma and Christensen he could have a tough time make it into the starting eleven. He isn't too tall(178 cm) and not the best header. A tall striker can beat him very easily as Ibra did it on sunday. Azpi had no chance to win an aerial against him.

He would be good next to Kanté. He defends very well but he is much better with the ball than the serbian. Even if he never comes back, i hope he signs to an European club soon, i miss him around.
