Man. If Chelsea obtained Cavani we would have one of the best strikeforce in the world, compared only to Benzema/Higuan of RM and Aguero/Tevez of City. They could definitely co-exist on the same team and im sure with the great attacking midfielders we have purchased they will both bag 15+ goals. This will really be a sign of intent from the club. Us Chelsea fans are so spoiled, to even considering of getting to watch a talent like Cavani at the bridge is just amazing.

This guy has to put the fear into any defence. Comes from a team that is playing some good attacking football, and seems to be the only striker on our radar that is actually available. Will give us a very different striker than what we have, and will give us back some of the physicality and headers that were lost with Drogba. I say get him. Let him and Torres duke it out for games while Studge plays as both CF and RW. There will be enough games to go around. But if we can get Cavani.....

Im going on vacation for a week, so I expect Cesar, and maybe another signing to be done by the time i get back!
-
Personally I think this guy is the bees knees, if I had it my way i'd sign the shit out of him. Can Shoot as good with his head as with his feet, plus some skill to boot. I dig it.

With the FFP looming, he is a perfect signing. Young, talented, could be a real asset when trying to break down those smaller teams. Worse case scenario, he is very average with us, or is injured the whole time and we move him on. Best case scenario we have the Spain NT RB in our squad for years to come. Cough up the rest of the dough and get this done. On the Essien note, let him fulfill his contract, its play money anyways, and his options are being a squad player or coming back as a World class DM. Sounds pretty good to me! Though I would sell him in a heart beat if a semi decent offer came in.
-
Mikel is a good player, and bitch and complain all you want, but he will be an important piece of our squad for years to come. He just believe he needs a better partner in the pivot, someone who can do a little defense but mainly control the ball and the tempo of the game.
-
Well after seeing Sturridge today, I hope he gets as much time as striker this season. This gives me more hope for this transfer, not only will we have one of the best RW, scoring several goals, for years to come, but he could also save the day at striker if Torres and Studge flop. Let's do it meng!

I totally agree! Chelsea would gain so much from having this fella bossing the midfield. Can anyone get in touch with the board to make this happen?
-
Looked pretty good against Uruguay, looked calm in possession and had a perfect balance of offense and defense. Though he did lose the ball once or twice in his own third

What I imagine Pep with RDM as assistant would be like.

Only reason I would ever want pep to come to chelsea, is because I think our board would go balls out for neymar, so pep could have his own messi here. -
I think lewandawski is a great player and all but I think he greatly benefited in a great team in form, in Dortmund. Who knows if he could replicate that form here?
-
Cavani, falcao, hulk and lewandawski all seem to be unavailable this season (are all valued to high by the club). If we are to sign a class striker this summer I think it will be RVP. It depends on the actual interest of the Manchester clubs, but of they don't swoop in, I believe we shall. RVP is good and all, but I would prefer a younger, less injury prone striker. Though seeing RVP link up with Oscar mata and hazard would be great.

Would buying this guy mean the end of Sturridge? Sturridge is on the last year of his contract, and we are looking for a similar player who is also homegrown. If that is true them we shall definitely buy a new striker and let Moses be third choice, while getting games at RW.
-
That double pivot was an important part of the champions league campaign last year. We won with DEFENSE. I think our pivot is more than fine, some of you guys sre just looking for something to bitch about Mikel romeu and mikel are all great options at DM, I just worry about Lampard. A player like Xabi Alonso Creates so many opportunities for Real Madrid, that is the element we are lacking.
-
Real Madrid should be the example, and they have Benzema and Higuan banging in 20 goals each. So bring on Cavani, or another class player, and let the goals come in!
-
Since Azpilicueta, Oscar, and Hulk will be in London for the Olympics, lets just sign them up while they are here, and call it a done transfer window.
-
I think we should sign him only if he agrees to grow back his afro lol. Seriously though he seems to be a good player and would be happy for him to come. Could definitelt bring speed and creativity to the right wing. Would prefer Hulk though...
-
He will eventually go to barca, so why should we develop a player for them? Shame because he has a lot of promise.
-
Just a weird awkward looking dude. But a watched all his touches in a game and he has some skill, and puts in a defensive shift. But surely there is a better fit for our team.
-
I dont like this guy. He just looks weird....
-
He's a texan like me! would love to see him in blue, could play in every position on the field.
-
Hulk, Witsel, Maicon. all we need!
-
I like Meireles and would like to see him in blue next year but he should move on if we either use him as a bartering chip for Cavani, or we upgrade with a great CM (modric, cabaye, moutinho, etc.) Also i would like a little more than the 8m.
-
If hes getting blasted on a Chelsea forum for a France game, imagine what the french media will do to him....
-
I think he will be a Chelsea player next year because honestly, who would buy him?
