Seeing how he has grit and skill, and can play in any 4 of our attacking positions I would love for us to sign him. Doesn't hurt that he's American and he's our best player

Getting this guy would fix the biggest problem our squad has. I would make Mikel look world class. I don't think it will happy, but if it did, our attack would be so much quicker and we would play much better.

Would playing him next too Lampard, in the pivot, work? He could play box to box like Sami Khedira does for Real. Maybe not against top competition but against the lower teams.

Though I love Ramires and think he is definitely one of our best players I'm going to have to agree on cap with this one. Hes great off the ball, but he just doesn't have the on the ball skills that are needed to play the way we are obviously achieving for. He isn't great at RW and he can't play in the pivot, I'd hate to say it but if a big money offer comes in we should accept. A skillful CM like Axel Witsel, or montinho would be more useful. I say this out of love for Ramires because I'd hate to see him play a bit part role for the team and only be a super sub.

We are currently in a rebuilding phase, so I think it's too early to make a marquee striker signing. Having either him or Torres sitting on the bench wouldn't be an efficient way to spend our money. I still hope we get hulk, he will fill the void at RW for years, and can add depth up top. Just wish Porto would chill on the price.

I enjoyed reading that article. I really hope he can make himself indespensible for chelsea this season. This season will be his oppertunity, he just needs to show us why he should be our number one.

We just need to pick and choose when we use him. Yeah he might be slow and can be beaten off the dribble but, there is no other player I would want in the game if we were parking the bus and defending for our lives. Also does anyone else notice that he slips a lot? Seems to lose hit footing quite often, maybe he needs new cleats?

He's going to get fouled alot. That's all you can do when he starts on his run. already looks to be our squads best dribbler, and his mere presence will create space and opportunities for other players.

I don't think our squad has any prime time passers, that can also put in a defensive shift. We all know MRLSH is average, Josh isnt experienced and flimsy, Oscar can dictate play but I would hate too see his composure in tight spaces go to waste and we don't know if he can be that effective from deep. We are going to have this problem until we buy a new CM, which I don't think will happen until next season after Lampard leaves the club on a free.

I've seent it! Ok maybe mikel isnt a world class DM. But he is far and away our biggest problem. If we bought tiote, our transition and build up play would still be what is holding us back. So you better get off it, because we won't be seeing another DM this window.

Man some of you guys really don't like mikel... Like at a personal level.... Anyways I don't see him as the problem, he needs a better partner in midfield. All mikel does is breaks up play, and does short passes to players around him. If he had a midfield maestro by his side we wouldn't be so slow. Lampard also isn't disciplined enough to be mikels partner.

Just saw the missed header.... Wasn't that bad,there were better chances blown. Oscar had a great tournament, and should be proud what he has done for his NT. Im sure he can keep up his performances for Chelsea.

If Hazard, Mata, Oscar, and Marin could form a really good relationship on the field, and play some beautiful football together I would like us to experiment and try Hazard up front Hazard Mata Oscar Marin I know his career here just started but i see some similarities with Messi, and would like to see how this would work. Just some food for thought.

I know he hasn't even put on a Chelsea jersey yet, and I am getting too excited, too quickly for Oscar, but it is seriously hard not to. He makes it look so easy, and just oozes with class. I am more excited to see this guy tear it up in the league than I am of Hazard, and I am extremely optimistic of this fellar. We will see if he can continue playing the same way he has in London, and the best part is that if he doesn't integrate immediately to the EPL, he is only 20, and eventually will. There is nothing but upside with this kid.

If Sturridge could develop into a Striker/Winger he could manage himself tons of games, play an important part for Chelsea, and save us some ache because we wouldnt have to buy the likes of Hulk/Schurrle/Jovetic. In a perfect world he would continue his career at Chelsea playing some games as a striker, and some as a RW. He would then develop into a world class talent and the English masses will be singing his name! But in reality i think he will be sold off, to a rival, and will cause us plenty of heartache
