it is nice to see a thread I longed for. IMO this guy is better than Luke Shaw. I understand the challenge we are facing when our english core players are gone in the following years. but is it so desperate that we have to buy expensive and young players who just might be one of them? acturally I also think very highly of Luke Shaw, but he is not good enough to compare with Ashley or Azp now. Ricardo is a better choice because he can qualify the first team and he is able to earn the starting XI position all by his own capacities. If we want to fulfill the registration limit on home-grown or country-grown players we can get our own players like bertrand on the bench or chalobah trained by chelsea academy. if we want to get core players in england national team, go get the players who is more certain to be one like barkley, clyne and even famous stars like rooney. it will be a shame for us to make the same mistake after seeing how liverpool failed in the recent years with downing, caroll and adam.

Even with the absence of Rooney and Van Persie, the match against United still won't be quite easy. despite of the poor recent performance, that team still has a long history of winning champions many of which were just won by the current players right in this squad. there is no wonder they have some exquisite tactics and highly ambitious drive deeply buried in their minds. any team who underestimates them may have to pay for that ignorance. nevertheless, it is also a golden opportunity to strike them down right now. losing a game like this can certainly be catastropic for chelsea now. thus I hope (and also believe) that Mou will start with a defensive formation emphasized in winning the ball in midfield and highly protective to the defending line. anyway, we don't have to smash their defence. their defenders are not as good as ours. all we need to do is to keep away from mistakes and wait for the United to make theirs for us.

it sounds like we are talking about a beautiful bubble here. no chance that xabi will come to chelsea at this stage. if he joins us, it would be a genius steal conducted by the club and i probably wake up laughing in the midnight.

Costa is very young, energic and smart in the pitch, which makes him a super-profitable investment. I am sure signing him will never end up with something like signing torres. Even costa doesn't adapt to premier league well, we can still sell him for a good price. of course selling players is always a sad thing and that is the least I wish. anyway, the risk is quite low. really hope to see him play for chelsea.

Have seen a couple of matches of luke shaw. maybe it is too harsh to be judgemental but I frankly admit that I can't understand why he is so highly praised. perhaps I set the bar too high but anyway if he is not 18 but, say, 23, will he still be wanted so badly? this puzzles me whether I want from this youngster, the ability or the potential. anyway, I simply doubt that his ability is sufficient for the team when Ashley leaves.

it will be quite a sad moment to see mata leaving chelsea even with the fact that finding a replacement will not be as difficult as finding a new decent strifker. but it is still unacceptable to give mata to another premier league club, no mater how much the offer can be. abandoning mata means abandoning an alternative attacking system which may be fatel when mou has finished building the squad and formation. anyway, the team is ascending now and mou's doing fantastic job. it feels so good to see a new chelsea rising.

To me Luke Shaw is overrated due to his potential. In fact potential can never be taken as ability at any age. Surely Luke is much more muture than his peers and he is quite a good LB. No wonder his potential is so high that the media is too eager to think twice before they salute him as the future star. Of course he has the potential to be everything if he continues to develop quickly. But this is not granted and his recent frequent injury seemingly indicates that his future is not so certain. I am not entirely against buying him but I seriously doubt his value. Such a player who is mature comparatively in his age is not so sure to be a star in the future. Many of this kind may stop developing or develop very slowly or just get destroyed by injuries. Hence I would say it is highly risky to buy him by a price over 20M. However, an offer below 20M probably will not impress Southampton. Thus, I am not quite optimistic in this deal. I hope the club can find some other gifted and briliant LB just like they found Azpilicueta.

I fould some videos on DC in this summer just ended up with thinking him as a backup choice for Chelsea because at that time his performance wasn't convincing enough to me that he should be our target over starlets such as Falcao and Cavani. But it's proved that I was wrong. DC has just become a top striker in this season. At the same time Falcao, Cavani and Lewy are virtually gone. I think he is now a perfect target for us and the price is completely reasonable. Also I think the worldcup stuff shouldn't be bothering DC if he moves to Chelsea. His performance up to now has been evident enough to earn him a ticket to brazil. As long as he won't be badly injured, transferring to another environment doesn't vex him at all. Really really hope for signiing him.

the asking price of 30M for Spur may not be true, but even though the true price wouldn't be too far away from it. then what a top LB player will cost in PL? 30M? 40M? I bet none of those players will be worth more than 40M from a club such as Southamputon unless Shaw moves to the winger positon and plays as briliantly as Bale. To be honest, Shaw has quality and potential but it is almost impossible for him to be as good as Bale, nor as Ashley Cole. Even if a young Ashley Cole was in Southamputon and asked to leave for Chelsea, I dare to say that the final transfer fee won't be over 40M. Hence, is it really so neccessary to buy him when he is still raw and green with a huge cost of nearly 30M? I would rather see the club willing to pay extra 10 or 15 Mil to get the "developed and top-class" Shaw at the age of 22 instead of buying a 18-year old boy of bright future but of great cost.

anyway the club is miles away from being sufficient in pivot midfielders and strikers. Martinez is certainly a real striker and it wouldn't harm to get him. I believe Ba and eto'o won't stay in this club for over a year and we do need some freshmen. If Falcao, Cavani and Lewy are too difficult to lure, Martinez is surely a good option.

Hazard's performance is terrible. I even don't know whether it is a problem of form or of attitude. That lad has the talent rarely found among one generation but still he needs to be cooled down on the bench and the pressure from competition for position. Oscar is good because he never stops working so hard. He is somehow like Frank. I am totally ok with Mou's unsuccessful trial, which can be zort of price we have to pay. But I do not quite understand the lack of ambition showed by the team. Perhaps Mou has been too gentle to the talented players like Hazard and Luiz. Their starting positions shouldn't be granted unless they show they want to win more than any others do.

It won't be a wise move to put him on the transfer list. I have no doubt on his abilities but I do concern with his attitude and professional ethics. Surely suarez has an ambitious and aggresive attitude which is good, but he is so poor in composure and he is troubled in a level where the club will probably fail to handle with. what will we do when he dives too often or conducts some unsportsmanlike behaviours? Simply another biting issue or racism accusation of him may put the club in a disaster and we can not assure that it will never happen (by contrast I see it likely to happen). Thus, if the club or Jose thinks they can handle with suarez to avoid another problem, then of course it is ok to sign him. But I will not have that confidence, nor will I have the confidence with that Liverpool will waste our huge transfer fee onto another Andy Carrol instead of spending it wisely to improve their squad so that they can be another enemy to us or even beat us in the premier league.

I don't believe the existance of the buyout clause. recently the rumour saying arsenal's near-19-mil offer being rejected indicates the leverkunsen having no intention to sell Lars for whatever price. If that is true, any club who manages to have him will pay too much.

I'd rather take it as another meaningless rumour. We've got azp and ivanovic, with wallace to come in July and kalas loaned out. I cannot see any point of doing this. The qualities Kyle has are not attractive to us at all.

Pay 25M and bring him to chelsea? I dont buy it. Things wont be so easy. The most tricky task will be persuading him to join us instead of bayern or real madrid. that will be bloody difficult. if he finally had come, it would be enormous work done beneath the media, and we should be grateful for the luck.

Falcao is really a genius. It is quite understandable that people are afraid of him being overated due to the high price of him. But I must say he is the striker worthy of 50M pounds. Of course if we buy a player for such a high price we will concern. And I will not be trilled about it if that happens as well. Maybe there are some other very talented strikers that are much cheaper, but we may not be able to get another one as good as him. Buying him may not be the best choice for the club, but Falcao is surely the best forward we can buy at this moment.

Unless chelsea goes back to 433, I can not see any reason why Yaya is needed since he is totally no DM and needs space in the front line. He is a bit like Fellaini who has much attacking qualities and may not contribute to defence as we expect. However he is older and asks for higher salary than Fellaini.

The only good thing to know is that Hazard really meant to kick the ball but not the boy from the vedio or gif. A disastrous moment for eden and chelsea. No matter what the boy did the players should behave themselves. We are not the MU favoured by FA. I supppose Chelsea board and Roman may have to pull loads of strings to pull eden back to pitch. Perhaps it will cost the rest of the season regardless of the long-term impact on eden's career. But hopefully he can learn something and the whole young team can grow up.

We only have one demba ba and that is the problem. It makes sometimes rafa has to put torres in the first team where frankly he does not have the quality to be. If feilleni or isco can come, can we push them to the forward line?

Can he play as a striker? 'cause I notice he is really good at shooting. If we can get him and push him to the foward positon, maybe we'll get a nice striker, definately better than torres.

Even we have bought 19-year-old drogba he could not offer more than lukaku did these days. 'cause this kind of centre forwards need time to develop and few are starring at that very young age. lukaku is not for now but for the future. let's ignore him and focus on the rw. it is a waste of talent for ramirez to play rw and it is also a bad choice for the team. nearly no threatenning opportunities were created from the right side. we need a top class rw. though hulk may be too costy, we still need to find another one like him if we give up targeting him.

Why isn't hulk caring about this transfer? personnaly I suppose this transfer will be surely beneficial to his career. Maybe it is the loyalty to the club, though I admire that I take it as a shame. Still hoping he can come.

Chelsea's key players were not really engaged in tha match today probably in order to avoid injury. Consequently we do not possess the ball in the front frequently and confortably. Judging from the recent warming ups, the team is still far away from integration, especially in the attacking line. Let's hope when mata, oscar and torres (and other new comers maybe) come back our attacking can be mature and effective.

Can Oscar play the role of Modric as a playmaker? If so it may be a good sign. Hope it is not a plan B for buying Hulk.

No matter which club he chooses eventually, he acts as if he were a superstar like CR and Messi, which looks arrogant. But I do not think careful picking a club is wrong because it may determine what his career will be like. I love this kid's talent and wish he didn't make a decision based on money but on the good for his career.
