Even if we are negotating already, the club has zero proof that we will get ban postponed. So its all on good word. And Im sure many good players will opt out for reliable option rather than agreeing with us hoping we get ban postponed or their chance for transfer to top club falls in the water. All the promising players are coveted by best clubs in the world and they will go there because they know the transfer will be completed. That said, Im pretty sure we are not even in the first stages of targeting players. The board is incompetent, they will start with their work in those last 10 days. This is another disaster for us realy.

RLC has been injured quite alot (his back indeed) and you dont want to risk another potential injury against New England Revolution in Boston on absolutely shite pitch. There have been many cases where players trained normaly, but didnt play the match because managers wanted to protect them. Players train every day, its understandable. Going to play in some pointless match in USA is not. So no, training is nowhere near the same as actual match. Cobham has perfect training pitch, while this one in Boston was terrible. And its well known the quality of the pitch is always big reason when it comes to injuries, especialy like that one that happend to RLC tonight.

Indeed. Its completely stupid to agree for such game at this time. Sarri could make different subs though. Start with strong 11 if that was agreement and then bring kids in second half, not entire first team. With pitch in that condition, any manager would rest RLC who can pick injury anytime; except Sarri.

I remember that as it was yesterday. 7 years man. I was on this forum for just few months and we we had thread for him because Chelsea was interested. I heard about him before, because I followed ligue 1 quite a lot and Lille was the best team then. I rarely watched ligue 1 games though, but I started after seeing couple of his highlights. He stood out and instantly became my favourite non Chelsea player. I saw plenty games in his final two seasons at lille. In all honesty, besides Chelsea, as a kid, I only watched Real games when Zidane was still there (I was also big France NT fan because of him and hence why I followed ligue 1 too) and then Eden in Lille. If he never came here, Id still watch him play elsewhere definately. He was pure joy to watch. Incredibly talented footballer. On TC, there were daily discussions, everyone wanted to see him join Chelsea, but it was difficult because we didnt have that pulling power anymore. He was already a superstar by then and it was obvious he will make instant impact anywhere he goes. There was one funny part too, he pulled that mohawk haircut near the end of the season and the entire TC was like ; hopefuly he will have normal haircut if he joins here. Then by the end of season he appeared in lille stadium with his kid dressed in light blue, everyone thought he will join city. It was dissapointing to realise he wont play for my favourite club. Sometime later, we won CL, he said he is joining champions and as they say, the rest is history.

We used to be better though. Even in harsh times, we always strolled past Arsenal or Spuds, now they are genuinely on same level if not better. Spuds never had high expectations compared to Chelsea, its nowhere near same situation. We never shat pants playing against Arse, but upcoming finale is serious concern that most would prefer to avoid any humiliation, a very possible scenario. And this aint some paranoid knee jerk reaction, but the state of our team sadly. Most of all, the results are not even the worst part. What is dissapointing is that we used to have top character, something every Chelsea fan was proud of, regardless of the results. Current lot lacks everything and its hard to be optimistic about it. Hell its hard to be proud and respect big parts of the club, from board to players right now. Only few deserve respect realy. The forum is just a reflection of helpless fans who watch this team fade on so many levels. I agree though, in general TC was great place once, but its understandable it has changed. It doesnt help either that many great posters left about same time when our club went to shit. Some probably had other reasons, but certainly not all.

Sure he is hard working and professional player but this hype around it is getting to new levels. How many players had nothing and they worked hard and professional to get to the top. South Americans, Africans,...had it whole lot harder. And you dont hear it left and right. That post by Christians father says it all. Many players have achieved that every year, Pulisic is no exception? What is so special about his dedication that should be praised extra hard compared to other players? Its just one big american mentality and you know they are praising every tiny bit they can to glorify themselves. (not taking any hit at Pulisic, just the hype surrounding him).

If he was spanish, Id be certain he will definately want to move to Real/Barca eventualy. But given he is basque, I have some faith he will stay loyal.

Being 3rd means fuck all. Its one of the most deceiving things you can point out in a very long time. We are 3rd ONLY because other teams were so shit in the final run. With out form, we should be 6th. Thats our reality. In the last 15! matches that United, Spuds and Arse have played, there were only 2 wins. 2 bloody wins, coupled with 4 draws and bunch of loses. Its a fucking miracle that we ended 3rd. Dont get me wrong, I love that we somehow ended up there and with CL, but this is papering over cracks. Anyone who is going to say "oh but Sarri brought us to 3rd, thats amazing didnt see more than 3 games of Chelsea this season. Because you would then know that we didnt earn this place, neither was Sarri deserving for it. Our rivals were plain and simple even shittier than us. Maybe Sarri will make us a better team next season, maybe. But for this season, I cant give him nor this team any real credit for ending in 3rd because thats one big luck. Then we have Hazard situation. The way he said it, he wants to leave, everything is left for board to agree with Real on fee and that must be respected as Sarri said too. Now if we ended up with Jovic, Pepe and Chilwell this summer, we would have team for next era, quite promising one too. BUT we are likely going to buy Kovacic and Higuain if Sarri will have a word. In that case we are fucked. Simply as. Im all for optimism, but in that case we are definately fucked.

Its nice kit. Something different. It has nothing with SB on it that would be realy recognizable but as some sort of pattern it doesnt look that bad.

That would at least reveal the true level of this team compared to the current belief we are not that bad since we will play CL next year and managed to reach EL final. Still, I hope we destroy them. Losing to that lot would be disgrace. They have bigger reward if they win EL because they also play for CL qualification. But they have one of the worst defences out there and we definately have the chance. It certainly helps we get some break until final. Arse was playing easily yesterday while we look off for a while now with the hard schedule. We just need to play at our best. Hazard knows that team inside out and hopefuly delivers (one last) great performance for us.

I meant about their reliability. Both can play as sweeper quite well but neither is reliable enough to be in CB pairing. They are completely different CBs though yes.
