Its not a typical Chelsea season if we find a replacement before selling. So expect a couple managerless weeks before Marina returns from holidays.
-
They honestly got 10 times better deal than they would if they got Jorginho last year. Rodri is younger, way more capable physicaly and distributes the ball realy well which will further develop under Pep. Now that we dont have Sarri anymore, Id take Rodri over Jorginho any day of the week, mostly because he offers defensive stability. Hopefuly Jorginho continues his forum from end of the season, but he will never be that imposing midfielder that you need.

Dont go to fucking spuds man
-
I think we should go for Ser Davos. He would make our opponents cry.

Yesterday: Derby wont stay in the way between Frank and Chelsea. Today: Derby wants to offer Frank a new contract to keep him there.

Thats not what I wanted to say. We will have hard time next season against west ham and top4 anyway, playing pragmatic style or going out with youth. Playing the likes of Willian and next summer, we are back to square one. If we qualify for CL somehow the board will think current squad is good enough and we are in for another shitstorm without any ambition. Thing is working on youth will give us better foundations for season after the next. The only important thing next season is to continue playing modern football and develop young players. That will be our future. Forget the top 4, forget the CL. We need to focus on style and youth. So that we can build on that next summer, bringing whoever needs to be brought to begin completing us. Thats another reason to stick with same manager who will know what we are missing and what we have instead of wasting another year. Maybe not everyone will be world class, but good enough potential to eventualy build a title winning team with the likes of Odoi, Ruben, Christensen/Zouma, James, Pulisic and wild cards like Mount, Tomori and Tammy. If we can pull it off, I couldnt care less about results next season because this is project is about our next 5 years, not next season.
-
Fornals to West ham confirmed and Maxi Gomez soon to join them.
-
Also if we try the pragmatic; experienced players grinding results, we are definately fucked. West ham has Anderson and now Fornals, soon Maxi Gomez too apparently. Fucking west ham has better experienced attack if you go that way. Invest in youth period. We had several seasons of shit buys, hundreds of millions spent that got us nowhere. Fricking Willian, Pedro and Giroud wont do it either. Its time for complete overhaul and if there was a time, its now.

Avb failed because he tried to overthrown entire old guard Terry, Lamps, Didi,...the current lot of older players cant lace their boots and cant dethrone the manager like that. Im pretty sure more or less all good players at Chelsea loved it when Alonso, Willian, Pedro, Kovacic were dumped for RLC, Emerson and Odoi. They simply are not good enough anymore and dont have any sort of leadership in them. And I do count Odoi, RLC, James, Pulisic and either Christensen or Zouma (depending on style) very promising. Maybe not world class, but like I said possibly very good. I gave plenty critics about Christensen or Pulisic, but they still have potential if developed properly. But like you said it all comes down to the board. If they gonna sack just based on results regardless of younger players development, its game over. They need to put faith into Jardim, Hag or Lamps for 2 seasons at least and see how far they bring our youth.
-
We are crap anyway you look. CL and title are way off. So at least we can make the most of it and develop youth. I rather see some future planning and then rip the rewards compared to grinding top 4 year after year with zero optimism.
-
The experienced divas that we have (I guess you mean Willian, Pedro,...) can all leave next season. They shouldnt be priority in coaching. We need a manager that will make the most of youth. We have at least 5 young players that could be world class or at least very good. And they could be here for a long time. As for attacking football, I agree with you; I meant fast Pool styled football, not possession based one. Still Ten Hag can implement that; or Jardim. Allegri is pragmatic and would be parking the bus every second game because of the squad we have. And he isnt even that good that would bring confidence we can end up in 4th place. Amyway Allegri is off the table, we will likely land Lamps. He will absolutely flop if he isnt given trust and time.
-
Selling Hazard for up to 130m earned her a long vacations too.
-
Sorry mate but thats like short term thinking again. Allegri comes, brings us back to 4th and sure we have CL and we can buy next season, but if you say defensive stability, you can forget on youth. James, CHO will be sacrificed for more proven players. And secondly, Conte didnt get the support in second season and he was also read by other teams. The defensive approach is ancient. We obviously have to move forward if we want to get somewhere. Under Allegri, we might finish 4th, but zero future perspective. With Ten Hag, we will likely suck next year (like Pool did in the start), but our foundations would be set. Anyway, our board doesnt support anyone, so whoever comes will get the boot soon while Marina receives a bonus paycheck for well balanced books.

I know its not directed at me, but thats hardly comparable. Relationship is love and all that shit, this is business. You dont pay your girl to be with you. It would be weird if ex got with someone else just few weeks after 7 years together. Eden kissing the badge is nothing because he always said thats his dream. I mean we all know Eden isnt loyal to us anymore or true blue. That was obvious the moment he signed for Real instead of extending with Chelsea. But people realise that just now when he is kissing the badge? Regardless, that doesnt change his legacy here and sort of legendary status. He is always welcome back eventualy.
-
I think he is going to be in for a bit of surprise because their fans are absolute cunts because they know zero loyalty. Hopefuly he has a bang unless he plays us, but IMO he will experience its not all dreamy up there.
-
othing with Eden, but do you think Drogba or Lamps would stay here if they played today? Just accept the fact we are not at the very best level in football, while Hazard is. And lets not ignore he always said its his dream to play there, so theres that. Doesnt change the fact he left 7 wonderful years here. As for legend status, Id say he is pretty much only below Lamps, Didi, Cech, Terry. Not there because he left at 28, but close.
-
"A number of Real Madrid fans turned up to Hazard's unveiling and chanted "Queremos Mbappe" which translates to "We want Mbappe". Real Madrid, that." Enjoy your time there, Eden.
-
Interesting to see how will he play in PL. One of better striker prospects, but hard to tell from just playing in belgium.
-
They would have to change entire system for that. Their attack is based on Mane-Firmino-Salah and if you change that, it might not work perfectly despite it looks even better on paper. The way they move around the box is outstanding and Werner doesnt have the ball abilities to compete with that. On the other side, if they had a creative midfielder like Bruno Fernandes, they get another dimension. All they realy need then is another CB, then they would probably win everything for next couple years. Unless you mean Werner as a plan B/alternative to their usual 11, that would be nice option to have.

Yes but net spend is only for ffp and balances. You still see Real and others spendnshitload of cash, including us. Just because real managed to sell player x for 60m and buy player y for 120, it doesnt mean they spend only 60m. On paper yes, but they bought a player for 120m and they got a player for 120m, a world class player. Pool sold Coutinho for 130?m and they bought Allison (70m) and Dijk (70m), 140m combined. Doesnt mean they are now somehow excused because their net spent in this case was actualy 10m+. They still spend shitload and thats it. Net or not. For the same reason I will never understand people saying we havent spent much in recent years because our net spending was very balanced. No. Thing is we still put 200m or so away on new players for couple seasons. And we did a bad business. Net is for business perspective to keep the balances. But you still have to look at numbers that are paid for new players and its clear Real was buying heavily as do other clubs. Just because they will manage to sell Bale who is now considered completely useless for them for 100m (lets say), it doesnt mean they are not spending big and getting everything quality on the market just because their net spent will be lower. When we sold Matic for 40m and bought Bakayoko for 40m, our net spent in this case was 0m. By that logic we were on the market looking for a free midfielder and got one, in reality we still spent 40m on then one of most promising DMs. Thats the net spending in a nutshell. If we buy Drinkwater for 40m, Bakayoko for 40m and Zappacosta for 20m while selling Hazard for 110m, we make 10m profit, right? But that doesnt change the fact we spent 100m on players regardless. Therefore we are massive spenders regardless of the net surplus. If we sold Hazard for 110 or even if we didnt; and bought someone for 20m, thats what you would consider spending rationaly and low. Regardless of the net spend.
-
The only way we can get out of this shit situation is to bet on youth. Heavily. I like Lamps but he isnt ready yet IMO. Jardim or Hag please. We have so many young promising players. And we cant buy anyone, so please dont fuck this up. They know how to improve youth and they play nice football too. Allegri, Mou and other pragmatic managers will take us steps back with their style, ruin our youth and they wont achieve results because this squad isnt ready yet. For once Chelsea, please look into the future. And convince either of those two to join us, whatever it takes.
-
Hazard leaving is even bigger win for our PL rivals than for Real. Now there isnt a single player in Chelsea they would be shitting their pants. Even Arse had Alexis.
-
By that time we likely wont be in title race and players wont give a fuck, so even sheffield is going to be torture.
-
Regardless of his potential and talent Question 1: can he cope with physical demands of PL? Question 2: can he stay injury free? Those two are most important for him to even have a chance to succeed here.
