He adds directness. Without him our midfield just passes sideways. RLC adds the necessary edge with his runs, dribbles, combination of technique and strength makes him quite unpredictable and efficient. He needs to gain match fitness that will allow him to play full 90 regulary and prevent injuries. Thats the key objective IMO. Then he will have the foundations to improve his overall performances even further in terms of end product and tactical aspects.

Some fans only smirk seeing Eden is about to leave, but the fact is he is the only piece that still connects us to being an elite club. Like it or not.

Well he scored against us and we love to sign players that score against us. He is probably impressed with us and couple good words from our players after the match can turn the scales into our favour.

Yeah but they are in the semis of CL. Most would consider that better than winning EL. They also didnt spent anything last summer and they dont spend anywhere near as much as we do. They also play better football in general compared to us for the last two seasons. Im perfectly happy with Kepa. Leno doesnt strike me as great keeper while Gulacsi is quality this year, I prefer younger gk to stay here for 10 years or so if possible. What I like about Kepa is that he has realy strong mentality. He came here as most expensive GK, but he didnt go down by pressure. Then he did that in the final and when he returned on pitch, it didnt affect him at all. Its also remarkable he "demands" to play all games, including cup games. One might see it as cocky, but IMO once he gains experience, he could be one of those characters on the pitch that help you win the games.

Yeah but some people thought he isnt good enough for us and wouldnt even give him a chance, as in ever. Thats the problem because we dont have faith in these players. I remember he was tacticaly average and didnt have intensity to his game, but he was extremely promising because he used his strength and ball control in very unique way. It was clearly visible he will improve with regular playtime and he did. I mean it took 5 min of that debut game vs city few years ago to see he is quite special. In all time I have seen Barkley, he never impressed that much. Im honestly a bit pissed we gave #8 straight to Barkley who proved jack shit. If RLC continues his rise, it would make sense to give him that number. Its just a number, but Im sure RLC would wear it with more pride than Barkley.

I laughed back then when people genuinely thought Barkley is/will be better just because RLC was more raw. Or when they were surprises he was picked for WC squad because apparently he wasnt anywhere near their level or ours for that matter. Glad he proved them wrong and our manager actualy gave him chance. Great player. I especialy loved how he reacted when he lost the ball. He immediately ran back to fix his mistake, usualy our players just stroll casualy. Thats a proper chels attitude.

If we end up 3rd with performances like these, that got to be bigger miracle than leicester title run. We are beyond shit since november and still could be 3rd.

This is the problem with our club. The players want to fuck off the moment they dont play anymore. Cahill is 33 and should accept bench role if he was loyal to the club. Obviously his situation is extreme, but we had many players over the years who wanted to leave as soon as they didnt play. They dont like the club enough to fight for starting spot. On the other hand, our managers are awful too. They cut off certain players automaticaly no matter what. It should always be about fair competition. Anyone should have a chance to work hard and prove himself. But our managers pick players and cut out others without any chance. The players obviously know that.

These two on the other hand actualy look great. I know alot of people hate new home kit, but IMO it will grow on you and wont be that bad at all. The black one is awesome though. Yokohama and logo is finaly entirely white as it should be on every kit. Hopefuly next season...

Okay the orange one is truly garbabe. Idea is somewhat decent, but the positioning, size and design of that lion makes it completely out of place. As if some amateur designer got plain shirt with instructions to put lion on the front.

Which means nothing realy. All you have to do is watch a couple of games and see he is a liability in our defence over and over again.

We were brilliant between 35 and 80min. Some of the best football this season. Should have scored, but at least we played good. However some problems still remain. As soon Frankfurt got that ONE chance in 81min, our mentality and momentum went to shit. We need to remove that from our game. The opponent will try, but we have to play our own game and never give up.

Hazard looks unfit today. RLC on the other hand, superb ball control. If he keeps injuries away and improves his stamina, he will be some player.

We were excelent against burnley too after they scored and we turned it around to 2:1. But then Burnley scored again and we fell apart. If Frankfurt scored again, I think we will collapse too unless Hazard pulls off some magic.

This is probably the game where we will truly see our level. The players got to be super motivated and opponent is good. In the league, we are not racing for title and you can see in players they stopped giving 100% big game or small game, the results are obvious. Here we have chance to win it and the players have to be at their best. No excuses. Opponent is also the best we have yet faced in europa this season. If we prevail I have some hope for this team, if we lose, we are definately nothing more than average side.

I dont feel confident for Frankfurt now. Rebic, Jovic and Haller are all phyisical beasts and will surely blast Christensen, Luiz and Jorginho. Question is can we score more than them. At least return leg is at Bridge.

He is having absolutely brilliant season. If he was LB, I would say it would be great signing for us. But he isnt even a fullback. He is wingback or even winger more than defender. And we have James on the right, so I think it doesnt make much sense. Good player though.
