  1. Id love Frank at one point, but its probably too soon. I dont want this turns into our Ole. If he qualifies with Derby, respect that and give him a chance to show his worth there. In a year or two if we still need a manager, bring him in if he does well in PL.
  2. Ziyech is good player but he isnt young anymore and I dont feel he has mentality to be up there with the best. Reminds me of Depay as a character. Big fish in small pound. It could always work though. Football is unpredictable. Id personaly go for Neres. Younger, more pace and hard to be stopped without foul. He isnt buffed like Bergwijn, but if he can work on it, no problem. Bernardo Silva or Coutinho are tiny, yet they had no difficulty with PL after some adjustment. Neres works hard which is very important here.
  3. He probably does. Thats why we look so shit after half time. Players having fucked up vision because of smoke after 15 mins sitting in that room If it doesnt bother players, who gives a fuck if he smokes. If it does, then it becomes a problem.
  4. No one is questioning his methods because he smokes mate. Its just possible that players hate being around cigarettes. Because there are millions of people who hate that. One thing is to smoke. Sure enjoy yourself. But in a job place, every day, all the time? Id tell you to take that out. There is zero excuse cigarrets calm you and you have to smoke. I can say marihuana or playing a guitar calms me down. I wouldnt be playing a fucking guitar on every training because it would piss of others. Same is with cigarettes. We are in 2019, not 1976 when everyone smoked and drank and then played a match next morning. These are pro players, pro coaches and pro level football. You follow the rules. There is respect. You need to adapt to surroundings. If someone doesnt and thinks of himself only, he can fuck off. If it doesnt bother the players, go ahead. It doesnt affect the actual methods by Sarri. But if it does bother them, smoke one alone and then coach without that. Everyone makes compromises in life mate. I dont mind if people smoke in private life, but this is football institution. What will happen next, beer cans around Cobham?
  5. No offence, but this is Premier league pro elite competition, not District finals. It shows bad public picture for one and its very possible players hate it too because they have to be around that smoke all the time. My mom is a smoker and I hate when she smokes around. I dont say shit because its her decision and I can always remove myself from that area. She doesnt smoke all the time either.
  6. I hear he was very deadly finisher last season, good passer, tracks back. I liked him in CL this season. Compared to Berhwijn, he is more skilled, works harder and more of a team player. Bergwijn is very physical and more efficient though, might fit PL better. Neres is patient, possesion based player. He draws players on himself to release space for team mates. Bergwijn on the other hand is counter football winger. Dribbles directly at players, with bursts of pace, skill and strength. I hope my assessment was correct?
  7. If he was that bad in possession, he would be complete liability in Juve and Real games. IMO he isnt best out there, but still very special player. He has technique and work rate that is crucial in PL.
  8. He will go to Gold cup now and if Usa reaches final, that will be around 10th July. Then he needs two week break and we can expect him to join us in the end of july/start of august. That gives him, what 2 weeks of preseason with us. And hopefuly he doesnt get injured in gold cup. Just wonderful.
  9. City hype train goes on only to be halted again next year in CL.
  10. Completely agree but our team is hardly quick one touch football. It has more to do with mental approach, rather the technique itself. Our most technical player hold on the ball too long
  11. There are rumours players are unhappy that he smokes all the time during sessions and that they start training after 3pm. Not just that, but apparently entire coaching staff is allowed to smoke and vape. Wtf. I have no idea if this is true or just bs, but I definately wouldnt take a manager that seriously if he smoked all the damn time. It sets a bad precedent and he is a weak role model. Take Zidane for example. Or Pep. They have gone through training as players and know what it takes to sacrifice themselves to get results. If Sarri says something along those lines and smokes a fag all the time, I dont think he cant be much of motivation or inspiration. Best leader is the one that knows whats he talking about. I rarely get inspiration from people who tell me one thing and then do something opposite. Because they themselves never go through it, how can you believe anything they say?
  12. Pulisic as right footed RW doesnt give me as much excitement. Neres is left footed and would be fantastic adition. Odoi, Pulisic and Neres could be one hell of attack in couple years. Edit: He is 22 already, I thought he is 20 or something. Still good potential and IMO worth of adding to our squad. Neither Pedro or Willian are good anymore and Hazard is leaving, so 3 wingers are a must.
  13. Coming back strong from an injury is something I've had to do all my life and I'll do it again. Thats the spirit Ruben
  14. I actualy liked Jorginho vs Frankfurt despite Im not a fan of him in most games. That said, I think we should have gone for Rodri in the first place. He will be great signing for Pep, basicaly stronger Jorginho.
  15. Id give him another chance, but with two quality fullbacks and striker. Doesnt have to be world class, just hungry and dynamic one in the mould of Firmino. Odoi and Pulisic on wings, Kante, Jorginho and RLC in the middle. But this is impossible next season. Azpi is there for certain and he isnt great in attack, while Odoi/RLC are both out injured.
  16. Luis, Godin, Lucas, Griezmann, Rodri, Juanfran, Partey at the very least all want to leave. Maybe its down to Simeone tactics. You can give all to the style he plays for 2, 3 years but then you want a change. I dont want another Conte/Mourinho and then go back to square 1, changing half the team, style etc. Simeone would be good short term solution with his organisation and passion, but soon it would back fire. We need a manager that will support attacking football and grow young players. Sarri did ok, albeit nowhere near perfectly. But he made RLC and Odoi first 11 players which is enough for now. We suck right now and will probably for another year, but then we might actualy have strong young team with players that give a shit for the next 5, 10 years. The club priority should be to continue attacking, pressing football and give youth a serious chance because we actualy have a couple outstanding kids like Odoi, RLC, Mount, Reece, even Tomori, Zouma, Abraham. If it wasnt for the injuries, Id celebrate this season like we won a title because after 15+ years we finaly got two youth products being good enough to play in first 11 that could stick here for long time.
  17. Simeone might do well for a season or two here aka Conte, but then the problems would reappear and we are back to square one except like always with even lower standards. He is defensive oriented manager. All 8 teams in european semis have played attacking football which is the absolute way to go. Simeone did decent, but his style is a thing of the past as is tiki taka. Its time for attacking, pressing and direct football. I loved Chelsea park the bus era, but IMO that would never work as good today as it did back then. We need to go with modern time and stick with attacking football. Be it under Sarri or someone else.
  18. They probably didn't want the drama tbh. They made smart choice. Jovic is allround, modern striker with massive potential. Icardi is flat track bully. Fantastic finisher, but does fuck all in buildup and his wife issues...just not worth it. I know we cant do shit in competition with Real to sign Jovic, but we need to get a goddamn top striker. Cavani, Icardi,...Chelsea would love to sign them but either will flop, you just know it. If we cant get top striker like Jovic, then we need a promising one like Lautaro, Richarlison etc.
  19. Lets sign a coach that was a sacked because he failed to achieve the goal. Id much rather stick with Sarri or get a promising manager from Ajax, Pochettino,... Also big no on Simeone. They guy is past time, as is Mourinho.
  20. With RLC out I wont be surprised if we rush Kante back and he injures himself again.
  21. Yeah but often giving faith into these under development players pays big time. Kovacic was way more established player than RLC at start of season but thankfuly RLC got the chances. If we bought quality CM or winger, he might be better right now, but if CHO and RLC get play time and develop as expected, they will be quality for the next 5-10 years. And they are youth products, they often show more passion for the club, especialy nowdays. Mahrez at City is nice example. He is a good player, but if Pep gave that playtime to Sancho, he would likely get top player for the next 10 years. But more than anything, I dont trust the club can bring and attract actual quality players. I rather keep faith in Odoi and RLC than bring some expensive inconsistent players like Willian or Kovacic.
  22. Just a while ago I was thinking at least Chelsea never had any serious injury problems like Arse or Bayern have. We always had very healthy fit team and big luck with injuries / the lack of them. Then spring 2019 happend.
  23. I just hope he comes back without any permament issues. Same with Odoi. What concerns me more than the length of their recovery is Chelsea reaction. For all we know those two wont get a chance or will get two or three games to show their worth and then we ditch them if they dont perform. This season, they established themselves perfectly because other players were out of form. If Pulisic, Kovacic,...+ whoever we buy get their ground running, no manager will bench them for Odoi or RLC which would be a real shame. If we buy lets say Ndombele this summer, RLC can pack his bags and leave the club unless he wants to be sub forever. These injuries came at the most terrible time. Hopefuly board reacts smart and keeps both in the long term picture and by this I mean give them serious trust and game time once they return.
  24. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2019/05/16/ruben-loftus-cheek-injury-update Ruptured achiles as was said above. Will undergo operation tonight.
  25. Sky reporting Real got Jovic for 60m euros, same we paid for Pulisic. We are fucking joke, the whole board.
