Man United is looking for Lewandowski. They already have Rvp, Rooney,Chicarito, Welbeck. City will probably end with Jovetic along Aguero, Dzeko/Tevez. Lpool has Suarez, Danny and possibly Gameiro to join. I love Lukaku idea of being starter, BUT we will never make it top two if we start season with Lukaku, Ba and Torres/Lambert/Kone...get real Rvp, Suarez, Aguero can score 20goals+, Lukaku might end with 15-18, but he wont have same effect in our team. When opponent plays vs Wba they dont press as much as they do against Chelsea. Besides, comparing Rvp, Suarez and Aguero with Lukaku is that they can decide the game alone. Lukaku is more a target man or poacher ala Higuain/Gomez who score lot of goals, but cant produce brilliance regulary. Lukaku is young and is evolving, but he isnt the man to lead Chelsea yet. Our striker must be good enough to ease the pressure from Mata and Hazard, Lukaku is more in development and needs to develop further. Either we loan him or make him second striker, because I feel that as much fantastic he is now and I would pick him as starter now over Ba or Torres anyday, but next season he wont fulfill the expectarions and we will be dissapointed. Sure he deserves a chance, but if we want to try win PL next year or be competitive with Manchesters and in CL, we need striker ala Cavani. Or we can play Lukaku, make him world class striker, but next season will be similar to this one. Period.

However most possible targets we can have right now are DM: Capoue, Gonalons, Inler, Gustavo (from Bayern), L Bender, Fellaini, Wanyama, Mavumba, Toulalan, Veloso, Mario Suarez, Camacho CM: Benat, Moutinho, Cabaye, Strootman, Banega, Gundogan, Hernanes, Pjanic, Granero Less realistic are Modric, Song, Witsel, De Rossi, Busquets, Vidal, Wilshere As CB goes, Rami, Godin, Agger, Skrtel, Garay, Benatia, Howedes, Otamendi, Mangala, Maicon(porto), Kaya, Amorebieta, Albiol, Miranda, Ogbonna, Nkolou, Dede, Papadopoulos, Alderweireld, Marquinhos, Okore, Kjaer,...I couldnt find one proper top class CB that would be available...

Another big question is our delivery to strikers. Despite our creative players, we have the worst delivery to strikers. Yes Torres was dreadful, but look Ba was on top scoring list, he is invisible now. Danny is scoring for Lpool. Lukaku is doing great at Wba, last year was out of service at Chelsea. We realy have to improve that passing, crossing to our main striker. Lpool has Gerrard to do that, United has Rooney,... Our team needs to start playing together. Team work. All attack, all defend. Looking for striker and Hazard must become priority. I get the feeling that every player wants to be star in this team. Sure they pass and cross, but seriously we need to start every attack with plan. Pivot gets the ball, sends it to wingers who then find striker with last pass. Again, we dont have proper striker, but even Ba is good, here however he is bad. Suarez or Rvp would never score 20 goals for us right now in league. Maybe we lack dpl, who will change everything, but is realy all gonna be great after one new player? I think whole team needs to improve including magic trio, full backs, defending pair CB, pivot and striker.

Agree, Vermaelen is overrated. As Kompany goes, he is great CB, but a bit injury prone and as captain of City unavailable for us, ever.

It still amazes me how is it possible that man who has 1,70 can control and defend so great. I guess he had all that in mind; tactics, inteligence, awarness, rather using just sheer strenght. There wont be another player like him, he was simply briliant, always.

But he plays along Dembele and Kompany-Vermaelen behind. We have Luiz-Terry and if Witsel is DM he would play along Kdb. That is much weaker and less strong, more pressure on him. Compare him to Alonso? Well even Xabi has another DM alongside him. That means that Witsel shoould play along Mikel and Kdb in 4:3:3 where Mikel would be DM and Witsel b2b and Kdb DLP. Or we sign Witsel and Moutinho/Dembele/Benat which is impossible in single summer as we need good striker too.

Guys speaking of our deparures...many clubs want our players, but point is that we dont need to sell them and we wont. As goest from players situation, they are happy and once trophies come, they wont have reason to leave I think.

That is why we should play Song-Mikel-Kdb/Oscar. Song might sometimes go wrong when defending, but he is beast along someone more defensive, like Arteta.

But unfortunely he is not even half as good right now...before injury I would take him in a beat. However his attitude is questionable; wasnt there a scandal of some pics of him naked or sth...also that injury with car...man has big unluck.His style has also changed, he makes far too much fouls (5 yellow cards already), he plays as CAM and not CM anymore, he doesnt hold the balll as good anymore and he doesnt take on players as he did in past (lack of confidence). Not to mention that he rarely plays 90 min, he lost lot of stamina in this year.

Well I would say either Oscar or Kdb because of lack of playtime or Hazard because of going to spain-rm or barca. But hey, we never sold players recently if they were in top form. I would hate to see Hazard leave once he reaches his potential.

I always rated Banega highly, but he is no where near as good as Benat AT THE MOMENT. Banega was brilliant player before injuryc, nearly equal to world class deep playmakers (just remember his games vs Barca, Real, even us). But after injury, he didnt get in starting team, he lacks play time and isnt in form. What we need now is midfielder who can play week in week out from start. Banega didnt play regulary for a year now. Class player, but would get tired soon in PL right now... As for Falcao, I would rather go for Cavani, Suarez, Jovetic or Lewandowski at the moment.

Kdb or Oscar would link up against defensive teams. And with proper striker, we should be way more effective. As for Song goes, he isnt as good as Alonso, but he still has brilliant vision and control (11 assists last season and that action vs Dortmund was brilliant). Song is similar to Yaya Toure in terms of ability. While player like Mikel is best at defending, Song type of player can also penetrate defence with long balls, key passes and strenght. His long shooting isnt bad either. Song has all what box to box midfielder needs, he is mold of Deep lying playmaker with bit less creativity and power DM. Also this would be roles: Mikel-same role as he has now; protecting back four. Song-b2b player with power play, but since he played for Arsenal and Barca, he can play tiki taka too. Perfect for moving ball through midfield (something similar to Rambo, just more technicaly gifted) Kdb/Oscar-typical deep half free roaming playmaker who will find Mata and Hazard in fast passing game and take long shots. Mata and Hazard-less defensive work (specialy for Mata). Both would roam on wings and around penalty box on opponent half. Killer passes or lone dribbling/shooting.

Not a false 9, but somenone with better connection to the team. Rvp, Aguero, Villa type of striker. But even Lukaku would be great, he just isnt technicaly as gifted. And who would that complete midfielder be if I may ask? Song is great in everything as you said. He is a bit of Xabi Alonso if you watched him last season. We dont need someone super brilliant like Modric or Moutinho in midfield as we have enough playmaking vision in Mata, Oscar, Hazard and Debruyne. BUT Song (with Mikel and Kdb/Oscar) still offers much better control in midfield than Rambo-Mikel and also makes team stronger. Two problems solved.

Because Song isnt typical DM, he is more of box to box player with all from long/short passing, vision, strenght, tackles, interceptions. While Mikel alone isnt fastest, Song would cover up for him.And with Song and Mikel, Kdb would have very open role as he would focus on attack more. Alternative to Song would be Witsel.

We should start realise that one or two of Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Kdb wont suceed here. Simply. Everyone is best when given free role and that is only one place in team (maybr two). Either Kdb or Oscar will have to play in CM in order to suceed. Mata and Hazard will always be wingers, but Mata is best in free role. Having Song(upgrade on Rambo)-Mikel-Kdb(free flowing CM) Mata(free flowing winger)-striker-Hazard(dribbler) In system 4:3:3 is best option. Only requires 1 new player, wont harm development of Oscar and kdb, will give control in midfield. Eventualy we need to think of who that striker will be and buy another class CB to replace Terry. Song-Mikel-Kdb(Oscar) Mata-Lukaku/Cavani-Hazard Whooaaa!
