Feels bit like Willian signing, althrough he is better player and more proven. Other than that, what other choices we have now or even in summer? If Reus is going to Real, I doubt we will go for Bale either. Then I dont know who elseis good enough for our Rw and better than what we already have. Koke, Isco, etc aint proper wingers, while I dont think players like Pedro, Muniain, Mertens would cut it here. But I like idea of having Lacazette on right wing. He would add goals, assists and has very good share of technical ability.

When you are winning, style doesnt realy matter. But if you have to defend game after game and remain trophyless, players like Hazard will think of going somewhere else. Thats why its important that we bring some more quality to our team to add quality and efficiency of our football to keep Hazard and others happy here.

I think it was just bs that he would cost this much. He was 29 and had bad WC, Im sure our board could negotiate for fair price. Plus we had Lukaku that was top Martinez wish. But Im glad we went for Luis anyway.

1.) Its funny that people are saying why did Mata changed our bench for united one, but in fact he played around 1400mins, more than Oscar. He is quite regular player these days. 2.) 6 goals, 7 assists is not bad for #10 after good half season. It would be nice if people stopped talking about Oscar not delivering enough for #10.

I think its clear how we will play against City. Safe with very strong defending and waiting to counter attack city. Mourinho will go for a point or narrow win, but Im sure he will have priority in keeping clean sheet, rather winning the game. City on other hand will go all out attack and we can seriously harm them on counter. I wont be surprised if we play Matic-Mikel/Ramires in pivot with Cesc #10. Only downside is that we will be much more tired than City and they will have more time to prepare for the game. A win vs pool will probably lift us a bit, but we must not get complacent. Im sure City will go on us heavy and we will have to defend well. Its gonna be very very hard game for us, city needs win and they will play like hurt lions no doubt. But its our pitch and we should lead the game to draw atleast. Plus Yaya and Bony wont play, its realy good for us. No Yaya and City midfield is not that powerful anymore.

Not that I would have anything against Luis signing, quite opposite, but it made me think why didnt we try to sign Baines. He was about same age, same price and english player who had realy good last season. And we gave them Lukaku, so it could be done. Just wondering if Baines was ever an option for Mou as we were linked with him few times. He has been very poor this season in defending, so we probably dodged a bullet. But whole Everton is shit, but it has to be said, Baines certainly has best delivery in PL still.

If we actualy sell him, I can only expect us to sign someone like Mertens, Mirallas etc who will be better than Salah, but long term, not a solution. So maybe its better to stick with what we have and then sell salah/Schurrle in summer and get proper RW who will fill that spot for many years.

Nah, as I have been thinking about it little bit, I dont think he will come. Main reason, why would he extend if he wanted to leave soon in first place? In Pogba case, he extended because that will bring juve more money and Im sure he likes them enough, not to leave on free transfer or some ridiculously low fee. In Varane case, Real doesnt have such money problems like Juve do. And when he signed extention, it was clear that he is in Real hands now. A very big fee will be required to get him (I doubt Mou would pay that much for CB), and in 2 years, when Pepe leaves, he will become regular starter at Real for next 10 years anyway. Think we have to pick other targets, like Godin or Laporte etc...

Yeah we are english club and we have 11 english starters too...last few years we are more international than english to begin with. Besides all rumours, transfers and fees from other parts of europe (unless you are reading english journos) use euros, more or less. And seriously I dont know why you point this as issue, I will keep using euros, not pounds when talking money, as will several other members here...
