Kroos (just bought for future) and Modric (key part of team) will not leave for some time. They dont need him, but who knows Real is greedy after all. I guess Perez never learned and will dump Modric sooner or later for Pogba, losing one player that is key for them and buying unnecessary. In that case we could just snap Modric, like we did with Makelele. Real cant have them all. It would be unwise to go in money race with Real, even though Pogba is great player and will be among top 5 for next 10 years IMO.

Pass I would say. He is exactly kind of player we should NOT target. Decent potential, not proven anywhere realy, lots of flair but no one knows how he handles it in bigger league. We need more experience, character and balls. The last thing we need is another WIllian who is good but makes no difference in attack.

Back in the start of the season, when opponents didnt know how to play us due to new signings, we banged goals for fun. They tried to stop Hazard, but we had Costa and he scored shitload of goals. Eventualy opponents started close mark him too and our performance drained a bit. With Cuadrado, opponents will probably stretch their defence even further and it will be very beneficial for us. Its clear that Willian almost never runs at defenders, crosses etc and it makes him easier to stop. With Cuadrado, story will be different. I was doubtful about Salah and even Willian when we signed them, because I thought they aint proven enough. Im doubtful about Cuadrado too, maybe he aint perfect fit, but he is certainly quality player. 35m is steep, but lets face it; if Schurrle/Salah leaves, we NEED another player and Cuadrado is best pick in january. I admit, I dont watch every Fiorentina game, I only watched them about three times this season, he had his ups and downs in those games, but what I like is that Cuadrado takes a fucking shot and isnt afraid to do it again and again until he scores. Im fucking tired of our attackers passing passing passing and no one takes the shot. And the good part here is that Cuadrado is actualy good shot taker.

Willian 2.0
-
Im sure Reus to Real are mostly made up, but that doesnt change the fact that he is unlikely to join us.
-
Then he has 100% record. Established pk taker then
-
16...either loan or castilla for him at least for two years. If he fails, we will never hear for him again. Im sure if he was full member of Ajax or Psv or some similar team, he would be nurtured better than as a loaned player. While in castilla, he wont realy progress there.
-
I am not fully convinced either, but who will we buy if we actualy sell Salah/Schurrle? Season will be long and so far our bench wingers had no impact at all. Having Cuadrado on bench (or Willian) will be much better over current situation. Probably not perfect, but still better. If the club decides to buy him, so be it. If things dont go right, we will still sign new winger as always, regardless of FFP. And who knows, maybe this turns to be key transfer... But as of now, Cesc and Matic realy need proper replacement from bench, much more than Willian. Matic was knackered and he played poorly, same with Cesc. Mikel is decent, but not reliable. And Cesc doesnt even have proper replacement. CB is also worrying, Cahill looks worse and worse each game passing. I guess Mou will adress these issues in summer rather than now. I just hope his lack of rotation and bench options wont destroy our starting eleven before we even enter key games in spring.
-
Yeah because he has only Ronaldo, James, Bale, Isco as competition. What is that for a 16 year superstar...these kids should know better for their careers.
-
With this kind of attitude, tactics and mentality we will struggle even in home game and then real test awaits; City. I dont mind if we play at home and city has bad run, but it is going to be fucking difficult match.
-
Stop with excuses, show it on pitch Mourinho!
-
Yeah but I didnt meant that. I would buy Turan because he suits us, not just because he is good player. He is exactly what we lack there. He is calm as fuck when he has the ball and great at holding it, he would be perfect for counters. He is hardworker, great character too, suits Mou profile.
-
I remember lot of being against Kalou and Malouda. But Anelka was good IMO. Maybe not in last year but before he was.
-
Hazard and Sanchez have incredible balance and trust me they are quite strong for such small players. But mostly their lower body is very balanced. The point isnt realy in strength but to retain the ball without getting knocked off. If you have great balance, you can do that. Thats why Hazard can keep the ball against bigger players and runs away with it. Cuadrado is far less balanced than Hazard or Sanchez. Silva is in PL for several years now and has adopted well, but his main role isnt dribbling but creating chances which is bit different. We have big trouble in holding the ball in attack when under pressure and Cuadrado isnt that kind to keep the ball against PL defenders. He can tricks them with skill and speed but I dont think he can hold up the ball. But we shall see, I havent seen him play in PL anyway Turan is another with great balance and maybe he would be better choice but that is discussion for another day.
-
Well he played as winger in his career too. He is quite brilliant technicaly for striker and pacy. Think it could work with some tactical learning from Mou. We had Anelka on wing in the past and it worked.
-
Been saying that about Turan. He may not be best scorer, but he is brilliant on the ball. Strong, good balance, hardworker. About Cuadrado...he seems to have very little balance and strenght. I dunno how will he push through defences in PL. I think he will be dissposesed awfuly lot. But hopefuly it turns good for us if we get him.
-
Yeah we could use someone on right who might not be as skillfull but more efficient and cool finisher. In that case our counters would flow and he would add 15/20 goals too. But who would that be anyway? Bale is too expensive, Sanchez will never come, Reus probably wants spain. Maybe Lacazette could work?
-
If he can keep the counter attack going by good decision making, then it will be fantastic addition. Willian stops too many counters with his sloppy passing and stops running for no reason.
-
Seems this was another bullshit rumour then
-
In my eyes Kalou and Malouda werent even bad. Yes they werent what we expected, but Kalou still scored 60 goals and 40 assists during his time here, good for someone who was benched most time. And Malouda had two great sesons, the one 2009/10 was worth the money we paid for him alone. He was outstanding player that season, trice as good as any winger we have atm, bar Hazard. Others yes for sure. But its normal, not every transfer works. Even Willian, Salah and Schurrle who cost 60 arent worth that price either. But on other hand, he pulled some amazing deals like Drogba, Matic, Cole, Cesc, Carvalho, Essien etc. As for Cuadrado, I read he expected move in summer but it didnt happen and he is very unhappy this season, but also lacking confidence apparently. Potential transfer here would certainly give him boost, but I hope he wasnt flavour of the year.
-
Mou wants Gerrard on loan lol... But im not even surprised considering he was protecting and praising him for past few weeks... But Gerrard will never come, though it wouldnt be that bad IMO, he is experienced leader afterall.
-
When you bring player from bench, you expect him to make difference, but Salah is never even involved in play after he comes in. You have players who are realy eager to do sth and Salah doesnt look like one. Its harsh, he was never given fair chance, but he never will either. Not under Mou and with his kind of approach. And for that matter its better if he leaves and plays regular football.
-
He is quality player, but not potential world class and we would realy need some real quality ala Hazard added in attack. But he is replacing Salah/Schurrle, probably both will be gone, come summer and we will probably go for another winger anyway. Right now, Salah and Schurrle have been both realy poor this season, Cuadrado will be massive improvement over them. But long term, I dunno. I just hope if he arrives, he will be one of those signing that look nothing realy special, but they turn to be brilliant.
-
Here we go again. Next week when he will have a shit game, there will be page of comments that he is overrated...
-
I completely understand why we went with this kind of approach, not much energy wasted and still took decent result. It was important game for team, its semifinal and Im sure Mou wants to win it, so it was clear that we will play deep against them. But do we realy have to play this kind of football against low team like Pool to get a point? It was terrible, we didnt even try to attack and Im sure Mou came there to keep clean sheet, well we conceded too so...Im just curious what kind of team we need to finaly play more attacking in such games (and playing against today liverpool isnt that big game afterall). Why do we have Hazard, Cesc, Costa if we dont even plan to use them properly in such games. Why would we need Reus then. For what? Parking bus? I understand why Mou likes Willian so much and doesnt want to improve our attack by signing a winger with more end product; because Willian is perfect to defend on wing. If you look Real vs Liverpool or Chelsea vs Liverpool, there is massive difference in quality. We might beat Real in two legs, but never in open attacking football. I wonder if Mou will ever try to play more attacking against such teams...and its quite sad if we cant win fucking liverpool by trying to play proper football, no we have to defend like we play vs Real or bayern. its just sad. Courtois was brilliant though.
