I would say both Matic and Cesc are to be blamed, both have gone down in form as individuals and both have gone down in form as a team. Cesc is shit in defense, but Matic is a shadow of himself too. Whatever the treatment Matic is getting is plain shit tho. Iva, Cesc and others have been no better than Matic yet they dont get the treatment. Seems Mou is looking for someone to blame and he found one in Matic. But long term that is bad, if we sell him he will get back in form somewhere else. Once we will have two proper fullbacks, our play will be better. Cant believe that in day when fullbacks have become so advanced they are basicaly most versatile players like Alaba, Marcelo, Lahm etc, we still play with stone age type fb like Iva. Last year he was decent, now is not anymore. But what bothers me more; Mou saying Iva plays because of height. What does the height be useful for if you dont know what to do with it? We still concede on corners, we still dont score headers. Iva is useless in both cases regardless of his height. So put someone who can actualy defend. You dont need height for that. But at the end of the day Im not sure what surprises me more: the fact that we dont play Baba over Iva even if the later is in super bad form or the fact why we bought Baba for so much in first place if he was brought only as backup in case of injury.

While Im happy board is behind him, I will keep it simple; If players are behind him, he has to stay. The day the dressing room is against him, he should leave. There was list from last season where top runners were revealed and how many sprints they make per game. Matic and Cesc were very high in km run. But in number of sprints, Cesc was way below. I dont need to throw you any "proofs" into this. I simply watch games. I couldnt care less about stats. Cesc is shit. He is not mobile, he doesnt sprint. He may run whole game, yet he loses the ball and cant recover it because he doesnt even bother to run after. He loses his markers because he lacks acceleration, speed and tactical understanding. He can be useful when we attack indeed. He can move in good spots etc. But Im not talking about his attacking, but about his defending. All his km ran cant help him with defending. In another words, I believe if we put some random marathon runner on field, the impact would be the same. Both can run but would do fuck all in defense. Anyway the final point is not how he makes those 11km but even if he would make 20km he still makes no impact on our defense. Yet people like you try to find some excuses that he is actualy useful because he runs 11km. I would say watch a game but Im sure you do. Cesc is shit. I said that hundred times last season when he actualy had good stats and was efficient in attack generaly. But those stats cant save him this time. He was literaly crap in all big games we played last season, but people were telling me Im wrong. Now he is crap in all games. Exception is vs arsenal because they give him all the time in the world. He might have stamina but doesnt have anything else required for helping defense. Thats why his 11km mean shit. That was my point. Now a question for u; do you actualy see Cesc sprint alot during the game, like chasing the opponents and marking them and going into challenges, fighting for the ball? Dont throw me stats when the real picture is completely different. There is reason why barca got rid of cesc in first place...

Tbh his personality and attitude was always an issue. The only reason he got no stick is because we were winning. But despite Im big Mou, I see he has issues with his personality. His face nowdays when we are losing says it all. He is bad loser simple as that. Arrogant. Sometimes childlish. Looking for exuses everywhere but maybe he does that for team. I like him because he is one funny fucker tho. And he was always great tactician and knew how to mentaly boost players. Sadly he doesnt know that this year but I doubt he lost it. He doesnt sprint, doesnt chase oppoonent when he loses the ball, anyone gets easily past him and all he does is jogging. He cant mark opponents because they sprint and he doesnt. He moves twice slower than anyone else. But he got 11km. He is in fit shape for grannies marathon. Great.

Since he become more selfish and trying to score he become poor. Last season he dribbled past two opponents and created a chance for another player with pass infront of goal. It worked. This year he drags on two defenders passes to team mate and he sprints in open space waiting for that team mate to pass him back. Problem is that ball doesnt come to Eden from team mate at all or if it does, Eden wastes his shot on goal with poor finish. You wanted more selfish Eden who is trying to score more goals, you got one. To me, the other one from last season was better. Eden is a player that doesnt need goals to be great player, sadly I think everyone around him is pressing on him to do that, but he just isnt scoring player. Should just stay what he was. Decent scorer, but great dribbler/playmaker.
