We would be in same boat if we sold Matic, Hazard and Costa...there is no excuses for our poor start.
-
Im just keeping it real bro Seriously its the responses and expectations after one game. Kid has a good game and suddenly he is the next Hazard. People get unreal expectations and if he doesnt fullfill them, they all go crazy. He is realy promising, I loved how direct and fearless he was, the energy he brought. But it was one game. Lets wait and see how he does at the end of season, or at least in next 3 games (if he will even play).

Everyone expects us to be shit. Just maybe we will actualy turn good or great there. Hopefuly.
-
Honestly dont care if we sign Pogba or not. We need a good CM. Be it Gundogan, Moutinho, Nainggolan, just get one. But we will probably overpay as fuck...
-
Maybe he just misses Oscar. Oscar goes deep alot, picking the ball and dictating tempo, taking some pressure from Cesc. At same time Oscar does alot of work in middle to help Matic. Well, at least in small games.
-
Yall should calm down. Yeah it was a good game but he has a long way to go.
-
Well still more goals than Harry Kane the wonder boy aka english messi.
-
Falcao...because he would miss the fight.

Pretty much this. Been saying that for ages, but no one believed me Anyway for the team, the playmaker is the key player. When he has the ball, the ball is safe. However with Cesc, its quite the opposite. Infact this season he has no clue what to do with the ball. Either he needs another midfielder next to him (because I think he wont improve, been that kind of player for ages now) or he wont have a place in the team longterm. You cant play through a key player in small games and then drop him for the big games, because he cant keep up with the game. That effects whole team play, because the one man you play everything through for whole season, is invisible in that key game and Im sure team mates are confused then. Either he adopts to play in big games or you drop him entirely.

He went completely wrong with this team indeed. ''brilliant defence'' was just a cover. It couldnt last forever. Our defenders apart from Azpi and now Zouma cant keep us alive when facing opponents 1on1. It doesnt matter who, Aguero or Zaha, its the same thing. Also, Cesc in middle, place where Mou needs a stability and Willian on wing where Mou needs efficiency tells you all. We lost physicality, speed, efficiency, danger from set pieces. What we have now is alot more technical team, but sadly Mourinho is probably the worst coach in the world elite to train planned attacks. Also our tactics have become terrible aswell. Going from dynamical, ''adopt to your opponent'', we are one dimensional now, its realy painful. Its clear we dont have no real plan for the games. We try to play more open, but our defense gets exposed and our attack is clueless. Opponents have read us. Only what they need to do is put numbers in defence, press our midfield and counter us. They know Cesc is absolute shit under pressure, and we suck against closed defences. They also know our defenders are slow and opponents will have plenty of space to exploit. And thats where we needed to evolve in summer. Bringing Vidal, Pedro and CB like Otamendi would do the job. Im not sure why we signed Baba anyway. For 20m. Thats what I expect a nailed on starter in fullback. Well, at least we needed one because Iva is poor. Yet Mou brought one FB that will probably need another 2 months to get to fitness and meanwhile lose all confidence and touch...

Because Iva should be benched, not Azpi. Take a look at Palace second goal. Zouma marks Bolasie (Iva should be doing that but he wasnt even there). Bolasie crosses from left to far right post and there are Kenedy near right post, Cahill somewhere in middle of goal. Only those are close enough to crystal attackers (3 in our box) to protect our goal. Iva is waay too far from where he should be. Zouma was out of position, because he covered for Iva, Iva should then take his spot in middle, but he wasnt even close to where he should stand. That left us with Cahill and Kenedy marking two palace attackers, obviously we conceded the goal. Iva is so shit, I realy dont know what is he doing in our defense. Mou made mistake for taking Azpi out instead of Iva and thats whats wrong. I dont care if Iva is ''aerial threat'', if he cant defend and we concede every time from his side. I like Iva, but the guy needs to sit few games.

Yeah that bothers me too. I have no idea what he actualy plans to do with our youth. Ake last season for example. Big words, no actions from Mou. A hungry talent is sometimes better than experienced player, but Mou doesnt believe that or sth. However defeats like this will (hopefuly) teach him a lesson. If you dont lose, you cant see the problems. He will need to do things differently, there were times last season and even before when he should make some changes, but there were results (more or less) and he sticked with proven. He is under big pressure now and I hope he wont repeat same mistakes.
-
Yeah we will get through this shit like we always do. At the very worst if the season goes to waste, we will at least play some youth, which is not even bad in the end.
-
We have good squad, we dont need improvement Well done Mou and players. Iva, Willian were shit, but thats not our main problem. Our main problem is that Hazard, Matic, Cesc all look shit too. Dont give fuck, just terrible. Mourinho will have plenty to answer here. But looking at whole thing, I dont think its slow start to season or bad run. This is our average now. We lost efficiency, good defence, physical dominance, speed, power, reactions, corner/free kick danger (remember when we had corner or free kick, thats was usualy half the goal for us?). For what? Technical ability? Under Mou, thats the last thing you need unfortunely. But Kenedy and RLC looked good. At least some positives. Now Mourinho for god sake, play them and Baba.
-
Yeah I noticed that when he played for Genk against us, but it was clearly evident when he played for werder. Out of the world vision, the weight he puts on the ball and the curve. Just amazing. I think he will do brilliantly for City once he settles in, and it wont take long. Even in NT, he is the one that realy pulls the strings or better say, has that mentality to drag team forward, not Hazard. Im not even dissapointed he isnt here, sadly we dont have manager that suits him, but of all teams, City got him You know, one of few amazing players we discover and get for peanuts, we cant keep. Thats stupid enough, but then they end up at our biggest rival. And he will most probably tear us apart.
-
I kinda feel sorry for him because he cant leave, but 40m is waay too much. Move on. Fuck off everton, I hope we absolutely destroy them at goodison park.
-
Just waiting for another ''he is not yet ready'' comment from Jose.
-
Cant wait to see more from him tomorrow
-
What I love about him, is his passing range. He has that Gerrard ability when comes to passing.
-
That said, isnt our style more and more possesion based? I mean I dont say we are absolutely brilliant in it, but its clear we are trying to play more in that way. In attacks, we keep passing and passing, almost until there is someone 1on1 with GK. Then you see our defenders who all they can do is hoof the ball somewhere in the sides of the pitch to fuck up every possesion we could contain. For a change, it would be nice to have a CB who can control the ball and not start panic when opponent gets close to him. Abdennour age also seems to be spot on in corelation with rest of our current CBs. He can play with Terry because he is fast enough, he can play with Zouma because he is enough mature and experienced and he can play with Cahill because he can lead the defense.
-
Yeah but you pointed as if whole serie a is so shit that no one is good enough for PL. Pogba might not be your typical hard working CM (and if people expect that from him, they will be dissapointed), but his ball control and skill is unreal for a CM. I have my doubts on him aswell considering his character (not that he would be dumb like Balotelli, but more regarding his role; he probably wants to be the playmaker of his team, not someone who will run till his legs fall off), but as of now, he is as promising as Hazard was few years ago. He is in that same category of talent. Had quite great world cup at age of 21 and managed to reach CL finale at age 22. Yeah, he need to improve obviously, but if we get hands on him, we will get one of the best football talents in the world. And that will give huge statement from Chelsea about the project we build. There are few players out there like Reus, Pogba, Koke, Verratti etc that I would sign regardless if they fit the team or not. I just want them to see in Chelsea if there is a chance. We are talking about future world best here.
-
He is quick, strong, getting in best age for CB and did well in CL. Under Mou, he could reach one level further. Plus he made good CB pairing with Riccy at Monaco.
-
Alexis came from that league aswell, look how it turned out. Its more about the player than the league realy.
-
If city pulls this transfer, they will spend 200m eur in this summer on new players...
-
Or Gundogan... Watching Bvb games, he is almost back to his best.
