You think it would be wise to go in season with only one creative mid? If we go 4:3:3 we must get another creative mid because Rlc, Matic, Radja, Mikel are nowhere nearly fit to replace qualities of Cesc who himself isnt that great.
-
Lol people talking about Cesc in Pirlo role. Not to first think that this is EPL, league that plays 3 times higher tempo than serie a and even real Pirlo couldnt cope in such league. Secondly, Cesc is miles behind Pirlo. Many pointed out but I realy hope we get someone else for that creative role in midfield, Gundogan would be dream. But board is probably thinking of making Cesc the captain...

Im not gonna say we will beat twattenham tomorrow, but we will beat twattenham tomorrow.

One does not simply replace future ballon dor Oscar.
-
Seen him only few times but he looks kinda similar to Pogba. Looks very allrounded. Big talent. Every player is story on its own, but think Baz is not yet ready to play in PL. He would get lost at chelsea unless Conte would bet big on him. I mean Kuyt scored like 18 goals there, the league is piss. Depay is struggling in PL, but I think Baz is more mature and his style definately fits english football. Idealy sign him now and loan him for next two years to lyon/marseille/monaco. Everytime we got player from ligue 1, it worked.

He said he wants to be like Lamps
-
Maybe you got that second part wrong. Indeed Hazard was result of CL win. But what Im saying is that right now we might not be able to get Griz or Dybala becausw this was freak season but next summer with probable CL why not? Sure we should hold on to Hazard and Im against Cesc staying, but he will 99% stay because of several reasons. However if Hazard leaves, I would either try to get Bale in return or simply keep the money for next year and get Griz/Dybala even if we have to overpay. However I wouldnt want to spend hazard money on either james isco or gotze because their mentality is last that we need right now in rebuilding. That said, hope Eden stays at least another season because he is massive talent.
-
I saw that too...then no way bvb can demand 60m for him. More like 20m.
-
Thats the point. Dont go for players only because they are available and talented. So what if Isco gets available? He doesnt fit in our plans (IMO). However Bale, Griz, Dybala do because they can add lot of goals and decide the game. And if they aint possible then go for ones that are and suit us. I hate we would go after Isco just because we can. Dont splash 50m just because we can. Wait and get players that suit us when they become available or get cheaper alternatives because they certainly exist. And right now Chelsea is in freak situation. We managed to get Hazard back then, we surely can pull more same transfers. Maybe not this summer but next one.
-
I dont think either James or Isco have ability to actualy dictate tempo and do the playmaking. And when I was calling them lazy, I didnt mean their workrate. They both do fine job there. What I meant is exactly what you said. Bale got place as soon he healed. It shows how big dicks at real are. But yet Isco and James seem to be just fine with their role and where they are. I call that lack of ambition. Or lazy. Anyway I would abandon whole #10 thing, ship Oscar away and get someone to compete with Cesc. Best choice would be Gundogan, but in current situation someone like Pjanic would work just fine. Wouldnt buy Isco or James in million years. Rather get either Griezmann, Bale, Dybala if there is a need to spend big bucks on offensive player. Going that we have Conte now, and our experiment with sexy football didnt work, I would return back to balanced football based on physicality rather technique. Good old chelsea. Or new atletico.
-
Why? James doesnt give a fuck and neither is Isco. Spending their careers on bench just so they can say they play for Madrid. Whenever they play, they score odd goal or make cool dribble, but neither is actualy a good team player who would contribute, run around and put their body on line to help team mates. Vazquez was playing ahead of both against City, it tells you something. Adriano, Balotelli etc all had huge talents. But talent is not all. Mature and responsible players are what we need right now, not some kids like James or Isco. I dont want such lazy players. Rather keep Hazard because at least he has some history with Chelsea and got us title.
-
Funny people want to get rid of Hazard but at same time buy Isco or James.
-
If Hazard is to leave and there is no way to keep him, I would only accept Bale in return. No James, No Isco. Those two are youtube players.
-
And if he misses timing...bye bye legs. He is fantastic tackler (apparently most tackles in serie a for past 5 seasons), but I hear he is slowly decreasing there. But regardless of that, he is still top player and exactly what we need; agressivness in midfield. (due to his style, I guess even more people will hate us which is fine by me )
-
Five years? He will be 33 by then. Doubt we would make such deal.
-
With all these Hummels to Bayern stories lately, Benatia will surely leave the club then. Would be great if we picked him. Experienced, top player who I think Conte rates highly.
-
Damn Fulham, you are better than that. Chill...hakuna matata
-
He said he is playing for best team in world and wants to retire there. That and he also said he wants Sanchez at bayern next season. Pretty much that little chance we might get him is definately gone.
-
Better Leicester than Spurs. Leicester winning PL against all the odds is reason why I love football. Also that Alli punch...media quiet about it...if it was Costa they would all gone mad. But since its Alli its ok.
-
Henrikh had realy good performances in those games I saw. Would be interesting, but IMO not worth 60m. However with the market today we will have to overpay alot.
-
I know our team won 4:1 and Im happy with the result or performance, BUT RLC played two very good games and all reward he gets is last 10 minutes in following game? Im sure he wasnt injured or tired whatsoever. Now obviously Matic and Mikel need playtime aswell, but its up to club to look into future. If we planned on selling Mikel, there was little need to keep playing him. But the board obviously values him higher than currenty our best youth player. And that says alot. Thats what is wrong with the club and why we dont succeed in youth to first team transition. Because we keep spending time with players like Mikel, Iva who should not be considered our future and as result negate RLC, Baba etc. I have tons of respect to Iva and Mikel for what they did, but I simply dont see them anywhere near team if we actualy want to compete for top again. Meanwhile, RLC plays two good games and he gets benched. And that is by far not the only example. Where is Kenedy these days (is he injured?) Once the club will start looking in future, grow some balls and experiment little more, only then we might see some positive out of youth school. Playing RLC these final games when we have nothing to lose, while Ruben would get invaluable experience that might turn him into our midfielder for next 10 years or playing Mikel because he had decent season (and we still had poor results) because someone in board thinks he could be starter next season... We gotta start giving some younger players a serious chances and not just playing players based on their fame.
-
When Pogba arrived at Juve, or Varane at Real, neither was bigger talent than Kdb when Mou shipped him away. Infact Kdb had brilliant season at werder, yet Mou completely overlooked him. Then Luis fiasco. Bought Baba, but didnt play him. And Lukaku and Falcao. Etc. I still think Mou is great coach, but one Varane/Zouma doesnt make up for all fuckups he made with youth (and even older players) in 3 years here.
-
If he cant play against opposition that presses high, then he should not start here, simple as that. And I must say Im positively surprised regarding his comments lately and passion he gives. But if he wont show that leadership on pitch, its pointless.
