Well cant realy see why people enjoy seeing others cry, its not like Chelsea gained anything. As Chelsea fan, I still remember moscow and it was sad, probably all here cried that night. Dont want to see Pool win, but there is no need for that shit.

How are they stuck in US bubble? Nike was founded in 1964. It took them 20 years to breakthrough by signing contract with Michael Jordan in 1984. 12 yrs later, in 1996 they signed their biggest football contract with Ronaldo9. Same year with Brazil football federation. That was their key step in european football. Meanwhile UA was formed in 1996. And now cover best athletes in USA already. Signing just one big team and player will shoot them in european football without a doubt. When they do that, its only a matter of time before they start offering next generation talents big money sponsorhips and beat the likes of nike and adidas. These next gen talents become top players of world and UA will get their equal share of EU football. Obviously it will take 10 years at least like I said in another post, but UA is growing and will get there. Ronaldo and Messi wont sign for them, but future talents will. Obviously nike and adidas are top dogs in market, but having UA wouldnt be blow. Did Ronaldo and brazil NT made mistake by signing with Nike back then in 1996? I dont think so. They created dynasty and majority of brazil players then wore nike from Ronnie to Neymar. About marketing, I see more movies sponsoring UA than Nike these days, hence its growing popularity and company's intentions to get recognized. And speaking of adidas-nike; mate that thing exists since late 90s early 2000s. Before Nike; around 1996/97/98 brazil, inter, United were sponsored by Umbro. Barca had kappa before going to nike in 1998. Only adidas was on market for long long time, example Platini's France. Umbro was bigger in EU football than nike back then... It took Nike one risk with brazil who won World cup, Ronaldo became officialy player of the world, and Nike was giant. They had more money than most if not all kit manufacturers bar adidas, they got their popularity and took several clubs by storm. When something gets popular and UA definately will at one point, everyone will want a piece of it. They make horrible football kits have to say, but that can be improved. Meanwhile for their USA market like Notre dame, their kits are realy nice. Im glad we went with Nike tho, but Im just surprised people dont see the growth of UA. On another note, Ibra has contract with Nike. Wouldnt be surprised at all if somehow he ended up here.

Meh, its not like he is winning any trophies at roma. Besides Conte should be the main reason he would want to join us. Besides of getting more money and playing in bigger league and CL back after next season (probably). Not to mention he has pals in Eden and Tibo.
-
Well we have alot more income than 10 years ago, but the money we invest in squad is smaller recent years. Perhaps because we will soon start building new stadium?
-
This. UA is the new Nike. Only people with lack of vision dont see that.

I would say that opposition is poor, rather than Spurs being so great. I mean, two best teams of last year finished 4th and 10th, while United, Pool, Arse are no title challengers either. Leicester (with all respect tho) won the league. Its amazing and they did super job, but if Spurs were actualy that quality, they should of won the league. Even Chelsea team of last season would have no place in top of PL between lets say 2005-2010, nevermind Spurs. At best spuds 2016 is on par with Modric, Bale, Vdw spuds, but difference they have now is a team and more potential. But yeah for current state of PL, they have a very promising squad. ---- This season was simply unbelievable. But Im looking into next season with my eyes wide open. Its so unpredictable right now. What will happen with Leicester? Pep City? United? Kloop Pool, Spurs? Will we climb on top again?...Its gonna be one interesting season. This is why the PL is still the best league. Perhaps not most competitive EU wide, but best to watch and follow.

Nah man. Just nah. Perhaps when Maka was here in his 30s, one could argue but still I dont think so. Prime Maka was simply a brilliant destructor. Maybe his ability on the ball would not suit football of today, but we will never know. Makelele was the engine of Real, Chelsea and France. Invisible, but crucial. Kante is very good but it will take at least a few great seasons in top teams to even compare him with players like Maka. Right now, he can be compared with Matuidi at best.
-
Two strikers uptop who cant create chances for themselves, and no one to put good crosses to them. Dont think it would work at all. Higuain benefits from quick passing at Napoli, Hazard and Willian stay on the ball too long. Lacazette would be alot better if you ask me. If we play with two strikers, we should definately go for another creative AM, someone to supply them with balls. Willian distribution is still poor, Fabregas gets pressed easily, Hazard is more of a dribbler and all fullbacks we currently have are quite terrible in offense. Ake had good season, but IMO is just example of grass is greener for now. No doubt he is good player, but he wont simply start for Chelsea right away. Either Baba or Ake plus experienced LB. And think Azpi should just stay in LB, he defends much better there. It could be that he just needs to adjust to right side again. And can people stop with Cesc as our captain? I know he is one of ''realistic'' options, but I would prefer a captain that is physicaly more imposing and doesnt hide in big games.
-
If he positioned himself better, he would of kept that. People say he has brilliant positioning, therefore his defences are not spectacular, but he could of kept quite a few long shots with better positioning, because his reflexes and stretch is not that good at all.
-
Good, I think he still has alot to give for us. He stays one more year, then with 2018/19, we march into new era. Terry will be gone and Stamford Bridge will go in process of rebuild.
-
He is great striker, but lets say against psg or atletico etc I would take Costa instead of Higuain every time.
-
I dont think so. He likes to miss alot of chances and his physical abilities arent particulary usefull in PL. He isnt tall, strong or quick. Serie a defenders are slower, aswell there are many teams where their defenders get caught up in middle of the pitch. I think he would be good in italy or germany, but then again each player is different. Suarez is no Walcott either and he did just fine, but his skills are on another level. Despite his record, I would not pay the money, simply because I believe Costa is better against top oposition, Higuain is 28 and he likes to go missing in crucial games.
-
Some things in football are simply written in stars. That third goal was sublime and when you score 3 in last match to break serie a record of goals in single season, unbelievable.
-
This. We failed miserably so far in replacing them.

Its also surprising how people are upset that 30m was so low. Only three clubs have better contract; United because they are global giant, Bayern also giant, but also german like adidas, and Real another giant. Barca has 28m year, Juve has up to 30m with bonuses, Psg 20m, City 15m. It has to be said Barca is about to renew with Nike rumoured worth up to 80m. Regardless, we were still pretty much on top. However, we have only ourselves to blame for accepting 10 year contract with no chance of renegotiating unlike other clubs. Our brilliant board strikes again. Seriously who the fuck is in charge of these things in our club?!?
-
Meh, Gotze went to bayern instead of staying at BVB, the career he has now suits him well. I would not get the man even for half the price. He might have some quality, but his mentality just sucks. Much like James, they are all happy to sit on bench all the time and not fight for their place and just wait until another club buys them where the price paid will literaly force new club to play them. Looking at current squad that lacks leaders and experience, getting Gotze would be last thing to do.
-
The board gave him the offer one day before awards, and probably a very lame one at that. That cancelled the goodbye party that Terry deserved, but the offer itself was probably so bad that Terry wont accept it and still leave without proper ending. Club will now just make JT look like less loyal, we realy dont know how to deal with legends that deserve alot more respect. While the board gave Terry another contract, they done it in absolutely disgusting way IMO. Hopefully JT still accepts it and gets proper goodbye next season.
-
I find it surprising that adidas parted ways so easily, considering the sales (if those numbers are true, our kit sales went up by 39%). Anyway, another fun fact is that Under Armour EU representative is apparently ex-vitesse director.
-
Difficult to find proper pictures, but take a look at these pics
-
Btw why is our sponsor so high/close to the badge? If its for looks, it doesnt look that good. All other teams have their sponsor lower on shirt.

Meltdown incoming...

Perhaps you lack vision. American sports were dominated by nike and adidas, but UA is getting bigger role with each year there. Same can happen in europe. Dont forget how Nike became big. I remember how hollywood advertised nike products in all their movies, something that is happening with UA these past few years. How nba and american athletes signed contracts with nike. Today some biggest stars, like Curry are all contracted to UA as someone mentioned above. I remember when nike became super popular after Ronaldo9 and brasil wore their stuff in world cup. Money plays huge role and trust me, UA will be able to attract more and more famous stars and teams, gaining popularity. Times change. Now dont get me wrong, I would take Nike like I said in a heartbeat, because I dont like UA or new balance kits, but never underestimate the growth of company like UA.
-
You do know that these clubs became big because of the results, not because of their kit suppliers, right? Its not all black and white. Sure prestige plays big part, but if we win CL with lets say UA and dominate football like Barca, you think we will be any less respected because we would wear UA? Its the results that will make us popular or not, its the results that will make us ELITE not fucking kit supplier. In ten years from now UA could be on par with adidas and nike and if we are the ones that will truly break through market for UA in european football, so be it. It could lead to great opportunity.
-
While I agree that Nike and adidas have special power, I cant agree with liverpool comparisson. They are shit because their team is shit because their board is incompetent. Not because they switched to different kits. After all they had reebook for some time and were successful. I dont like UA in football world, but I can assure you they are pushing to become on same level as nike and adidas and they probably will become huge. Right now they are already big in Usa but their international plans are big. Just look at their CEO plans. Kinda similar to phone market. Samsung, sony, lg etc...apple was a thing in usa back then. Now eu is one of apple biggest markets. Anyway you look, UA will be huge in 5-10 yrs in european football. If we get them it it wont mean we will become lesser club because of that. Results will show that. But UA make some ugly kit designs indeed. If we get Nike or Umbro I will be happy because they make much nicer kits

Almost all my pals thought Eden was finished, so about a month ago I made few bets that Eden will be back next season. Them fuckers better prepare the money --- Him captaining belgium at euros should also give him good experience to learn about responsibility and leadership. I just hope board wont be stupid and cash in on him.
