First Im not scout or person who would have any connections in football world. Therefore I will leave the names out because I dont know actual availability and prices of players. However, there will always be players of high quality going for small prices. Example Gundogan for 25m. Or if you want CB, Benatia to Bayern etc. We just end up overpaying for average defenders. IMO Koulibaly, Umtiti and Baily are all better CBs than Rudiger atm. But that is just my opinion. As for Bonucci, Barza, Chielini, Marchisio...you couldnt be more wrong. Barza was already a very good CB, won Buli with wolfsburg if I remembrr. Marchisio was promising midfielder, Chiellini was good CB. Bonucci however was kinda shit indeed and Conte transformed him into one of best. I may be wrong but Im pretty sure Marchsio and Chiellini were also starters for italy pre Conte at juve as I remember. Bottom line if there are no ones available, just raid ligue 1 because they work for us. Drogba, Essien, Maka, Anelka, Malouda, Azpi, Zouma all played in ligue 1 at time.

But most dont and next summer same story. Either buy some kiddo for 10m or splash 50m on top player. Im tired of us paying 30-40m on average players who are only decent but when combined, they cost hundreds of millions. Rudiger is like Baba right now. Damn high price but shown nothing to be realy worth that price. He has potential, but is his potential realy worth 40m? Bayern paid alot for Sanches or Coman while they shown little before. But we cant afford that risk right now to spend on Comans and Sancheses and Rudigers and Stones etc. We need proven players. Leaders. Big price for proven quality. Or if the board thinks they have become magicians in turning up and coming players in world stars, then get talents who wont cost more than 20m and even that can be alot. But dont pay fucking 40m or whatever on players like Rudiger or Stones because the risk is damn high, while the price is damn high too. I would much rather if football went in different direction with these potential players. They should be bought based on their current skill and if they make it, simple clauses with add ons to the former club. Everyone is happy. But Im sick of spending all this money on players who choke in every big game. In past at least you knew if you spent big you got results in 90% of cases. I have nothing against Rudiger but more about the board for making such interest in this kind of players instead of going for proven players.

If Rudiger is best our club can get in time when we desperately need a top CB, I think we are kinda f*cked. Sure Rudi can transform in top CB and everyone will praise our board for such good move, but I dont think our board is capable of developing players.

Well you have Iniesta and Lampard. KDB is alot more like the last. One is a playmaker, who dictates tempo and orchestrates team with passes. The other is alot more direct with all round ability to do things on his own like score or assist. KDB is creative, but just because he has alot assists, he isnt maestro like Pirlo or Xavi... Nevermind KDB is damn good player but he sometimes goes missing and when he does, he offers almost nothing to the team.

And Bonaventura, while keeping Giacherinni and Bernardeschi... I think with Italy lacking quality striker and no real game changers (Marchisio and Verratti also out), the only chance for them to get far is with good tactical approach. We will see how will Conte prepare for each game in group of death.

First half was a disaster, but tbh, Hiddink did poor job too. Yeah Martial is brilliant brilliant talent. Definately their key player, but while De Gea is making mistakes (well Neuer so called best GK in world makes stupid mistakes too), he is damn great in most games. Considering United has not so good defence, De Gea is doing fantastic work.

True it would be stupid to spend big on him and he right now is not worth near those 65m. BUT if another big club buys him ala United, city or whoever else and Lukaku suceeds, this thread will crash again because same fans will talk why didnt we pay the money for him and went for cheap alternatives etc etc. I will remain neutral here, because there is 50% chance Lukaku will end up as Drogba or 50% he will end up a flop. In first case 60m will be nothing, in second even 20m would be too much. If we buy him so be it, but if the board decides to spend 60m on Lukaku, they better have enough money for top CB and CM.
