We would concede after 5 min if it wasnt for Iva block. Dont know what was Tibo thinking on Di Maria run. In first season under Mou we got through. Then second season out on two draws. Then third season out on two defeats. I thought he will improve team not destroy it. We seriously need better defence, a quicker midfield and another regular scorer besides Costa. Im just sad we put such bad performance in second half. At 1:1 everything was open and we should go all out 30min before end because whenever we pressed them, we actualy played good. So I dont know why were we defending for 80% of game...but yea Costa out, we pulled back and like for Rabiot goal, no defenders in sight on either Ibra or Maria. And after we conceded, I know it was impossible to score 3 but the players could at least try to equalize instead everyone just gave up. IMO that is too lighweight. Obviously Oscar is no heavier than Pjanic but you can see even now we get dominated in midfield alot when we deploy Cesc Oscar and Matic/Mikel. I think we would need a Matuidi type player in team to adjust for specific games where Cesc and Pjanic wouldnt work. I still count on Matic to pick up form sooner or later and we could then play Pjanic/Cesc-Matic-Matuidi/some other b2b player. If Matic decides to permamently play bad, try to bring Krychowiak who I see as only top DM our there that we could sign if Matic gets sold. But three new players in 3 man midfield bought at same time would probably never work out so lets hope Matic wont fuck around next season and continue 2014 form. Realisticly I dont see Cesc sold or benched either, while Cesc and Pjanic playing together would be a big risk, we should put all efforts on bringing top b2b player and then next season phase Cesc or Matic out of team if they underperform.

Never liked how he got his starting place here. But I accepted it because he was our future. However his performances this season dont justify his place in team one bit. If he wasnt at goal, we would be conceding 3 goals per game minimum, our defense is shocking at times. But what difference does it make if he keeps all shots but then makes terrible error and we concede anyway. We still dont win and right now its either win or nothing. League 4th is probably lost now unless miracle, while CL and FA will be all about wins and Tibo will have to be consistent for a change.

In defensive sense, Pjanic isnt all that better than Cesc. We should target Gundogan if you want a balanced midfielder.

Well if the reasons were coaching methods and approach, players wont be much happier with Conte either.
