Put a good game with alot of desire. If only he wouldnt choke in big games...
-
Of all youth players I thought he is the most overrated. Everytime I saw him in youth games he was nothing special. Now he is realy having great season in borussia, thats for sure. But Im not that hyped yet, even Djilobodji looks fine at werder so far.
-
Gundogan and Matuidi/Kante over those two any day of the week. Pogba is fun player as is Pjanic, but they dont work enough. After watching Chelsea this season, we need at least two heavy workers in midfield.
-
True, but City put almost whole squad. Im talking about one player and even that because Matic and Mikel are nothing special right now. Besides its time for our coaches to grow some balls, stop thinking of themselves and work for club. Playing Mikel is a safe option, we might not lose games etc. But next season, Mikel should not be in plans anyway. So why not try something now that we dont have anything to lose. If Rlc works out, we could have midfielder for next season. And yes I understand leadership, its exactly what you said. But one thing; why would fans turn against Hiddink if he did try RLC and we lose few games? It would be a risk worth taking, lose one game or lose five, it doesnt matter now anymore. We already fucked up this season, so why not get something good in giving a player or two a chance. It doesnt even have to be RLC, it can be Kennedy or Baba or Traore. Just experiment. I will be certainly more pissed at Hiddink if he plays Mikel every game and we win narrowly with more average performances rather playing RLC/Kennedy/Baba and lose. And if fans would be pissed at Hiddink if he tried that, then thats what is wrong with fans . They should see bigger picture but they dont.
-
It just generaly shows in how much deep shit we are and how clueless the board is when Cuadrado absolutely flopped here arguably worst player in PL in years and few months later he puts good performance after good performance in normal environment. Then the Pato signing who didnt even play a fucking game yet, seriously? Or Falcao or selling Kdb or having shit of a midfield yet RLC still doesnt get a run of trust. The list goes on and on... It looks as if someone is trolling at chelsea but its not funny.
-
Now with absolutely nothing to lose, with literaly zero to lose, we should play RLC every damn game. Why? Because if club board with Hiddink had any intelligence that we need to look in future, and Mikel simply should not be part of it, while Matic is in disaster of form, then I dont see why Rlc wouldnt play. If he does well, we get a mid for next 10 years. If not, we have nothing to lose because we already lost everything this season. But still, Guus and Co will fucking play Mikel just to safely finish season. Absolutely fumming. Even Van Gaal is giving more chance to youngsters because he knows seniors are shit and if at least one kid makes it, it will be a success. But not at chelsea. Yeah keep playing safe. Keep playing bunker in every major game and keep playing Mikel and Matic and Cesc who have shown this season they dont give two fucks for club and should be benched. Dont play RLC because he is "not ready". My ass. Today juve shown example althrough with bad final score. They went agressively from first whistle. They were playing against dominant bayern away' without several key players, yet they decided to attack from first minute. If that was us, we would probably bunker the whole 90min just to be safe...the moment Allegri switched to bunker and took out Cuad and Morata, that moment they lost the game. But we decided its best to play safe against psg. As soon our coach and players grow some balls the better.
-
Been saying for long time that having someone like Cesc to be your leader and key mid is bad for club. However I didnt expect whole squad to go ballless in this season. Take a look at Vidal today. First year at bayern; hardly a loyal player yet despite losing 2:0 he was firing up the fans, he was fighting till end and yelling at players to not give up. Meanwhile you see the likes of Cesc and Matic and Mikel jog around not giving two fucks. Even if Cesc tells others to fight on, he himself is not such player to die for club and you just cant be a leader in practice if you dont have mentality. And thats problem with over half of squad. We never had Ronaldos or Messis or Hazards, but we had a fucking team of players who wont stop sprinting until final whistle. The sooner we clean current squad or make them winners, the better.
-
If Chelsea had same ambition as 10 years ago, we would try to make most of Conte arrival. Bring the best players he worked with, players that entirely suit him. Like Verratti who said Conte is best manager he trained under or Pogba who Conte brought to football world or Vidal who turned world class under Conte and so and so. But we will probably settle for mediocre players again, Roman will demand to play tiki taka and buy players for that style, meanwhile Conte will push for hardworkers and then we have the board who will try to bring something in between; but like for sometime now fail at doing so. If Conte has full control and budget, we might get somewhere, otherway the circle will repeat. 3:5:2 would be insanely bad IMO. Not suitable for PL at all, outdated, we dont have such players and getting such players wont be easy either. Even two strikers, we would need someone like Tevez or Aguero to pair Costa. There is reason why two classic cfs dont play together; Higuain and Benzema at real for example. Long are gone days when you put two RVNs and hoof long balls/cross from side in penalty area and win games.

The story goes about a superb centre back who had world at his feet, played in CL final, arguably been on of finest no nonsense defenders in game. Then he declined so bad that nowdays he doesnt even play regulary. There was injury, but surely he could come back after that. No one knows what happend. His name is Subotic. To this day, I still dont know how he gone from one of best CBs in world relatively young too into average one. Matic seems to be on same way, but it just surprises me that a player who wasnt realy overplayed, injured and even had several top seasons, then suddenly declines so bad that Mikel takes his place. He needs to get back on track, because last season, some saw Costa, Eden and Cesc as key players, but Matic was equaly important aswell, and if the rule about midfielders are key in football game is true, then he was perhaps most important player we had last season. And thats a shame to lose such good player to whatever reason he has for such terrible performances.
-
Have enough of weeping wannabes who cry and complain all the time. Time to get some real leaders.
-
True but he is still a ''legend''. He spices up the football world. Wouldnt take him now, considering he is slowly going down, mostly because right now, we need different type of players, either young or those who can give us at least few good years of top football. With Ibra, we would have stop gap, but next season, we would have to rebuild again and so and so on. But a fun player to watch.
-
If we go with two strikers it should be Costa plus another more creative striker ala Aguero/Tevez. Think two typical finishers like Costa and Cavani would not work. At juve, Tevez was as i remember also half playmaker and thats something Cavani or Costa or Higuain cant do. For two strikers we will need someone else to play along Costa.
-
If top players refuse to join us in summer, we should target Kante and Payet to replace Mikel and Oscar.
-
Who in the squad should stay and who should leave ?
BlueLyon replied to bluephoenix's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Sell the fucking board. Signing useless players who dont fit the tactics and who lack balls brought us into this shit in first place. Roman should stop getting involved in football matters at CFC. Then we can start rebuilding the team with new manager who will decide who to sell and who not. -
Quality my ass. The kid deserves as much shit as Eden, Matic, Cesc and everyone else.
-
Left and right we are so bad on all levels. Disaster of a performance. From coach to players, we are proper mess right now and whoever will have giant task to complete. I hope Roman leaves the football stuff to football experts, while Marina and Emenalo fuck off for good. The (non) quality of players and the prices we paid for them should be enough to send those two as far from chelsea as possible.

Him and Willian were pivotal in that buildup to Costa goal, yet since he did not score, he had shit game. Right. As if football works that way. People constantly compare Hazard and goals. The fuck? Seriously. He is not a natural goalscorer and he never will be. He isnt Neymar or Ronaldo or Messi. Get over that. But just because he doesnt score goals he isnt good and cant be world class? How about Iniesta? Or Ribery? I dont remember Bayern fans crapping on Ribery for not scoring 10+ goals every season. Against PSG, he wasnt to his standard, yet he played key role in only goal we scored. But his performance was below average because he didnt dribble enough, create enough and work hard enough. Not because he didnt score a fucking goal. Its bizzare that Eden didnt score SINGLE time in PL this season, but Im not sure why are people so surprised he doesnt score on regular basis. Last season and final season at lille are exceptions more than rule for Eden. Yet people are brainwashed that wingers and top players should now also be 20+ or 30+ goal scorers or they aint good enough. Eden lacks some discipline, he needs to get his shit together and focus on Chelsea, but to score 20 or even 10+ goals per season is not his role. He is creator, dribbler whatever you call it. He is not a goalscorer. Suddenly because he is known as world class player and a very expensive player, then he should automaticlly score in almost every game? Players who are world class, yet score less than 5 in year exist too, you know. Sure he has bad season, there are many questions over his focus, fitness, mentality and if he even wants to be here, but if he actualy does want to be here and people at chelsea know that, then he will stay here and will get back in form sooner or later. If he wants to leave, he will be sold and it will be best for all. And finaly, its pointless to call him names and want him out just because some shit press reports this and that and you follow it and believe without knowing actual truth. Because at the end of the day when Eden picks form 99% of forum will ''love'' him again.

When underdog plays top team, it doesnt work always, but attacking sometimes brings great reward becuse it surprises opponent. While completely different situation, take look at Liverpool vs city (3:0) or last year arsenal vs city (2:0). Both sides pool and arsenal were underdogs and city is one of most talented teams in league, yet they played their style and won. We ALWAYS go safe approach in every bigger game for some time now. We did play very determined vs porto at bridge and we won 2:0 comfortably. Porto aint world class team, but still good enough to serve as example. Psg was simply better and our players didnt even try for big parts of the game. Both goals came from ridiculous positioning that is simply unaceptable if coach tells you to park the bus. If your players cant defend, no point in sitting back. I do agree though, the ref should be more strict, would benefit us alot, but pointing at ref is last thing to do. We werent good enough in defense, in midfield or attack. This team with Cesc and Mikel in middle, with Hazard and Kenedy on one flank just isnt made to defend. We cant survive with those players because they dont fight enough to win the game or as in Kenedy case, playing him on LB against Lucas/Di Maria wasnt helping either. He might put decent display but made crucial mistake at Rabiot goal.

Only times in the game we were equal to psg is when we went forward. Whenever we pushed back they ran riot. That was clear in first half from what I saw. Dont know what was Hiddink looking. Then we pushed back in second half instead of going forward. And psg obviously scored. I understand we started game carefuly because single goal was enough for us to go through. But from second half on, after seeing situation on pitch, Hiddink should know better to go forward as he is not bunker type coach. And yet he didnt. Psg arent unbeatable. They are better than us but we literaly served them the win as we allowed them to control the game, keep possesion and not press them. Everytime we pressed them they looked nervous because they are not used to that. They are used to keep ball and force opponents deep back. But we didnt exploit their weaknesses. I see it with gung ho approach in second half we could easily score first and then who knows. We would be 50:50 to go through. With defense tactics it was clear as day psg will score in 45 min which would be end for us. Its easy to talk now, but I had same opinion during half time. Only us pressing them high could win us game because we dont have defense good enough to park bus against psg and survive. And psg is weak in defense when pressed too because they usualy keep possesion and are not tested much in ligue 1. Should we press them and force them into mistakes we could score. Sure they could score on counter, but at least we had chance. Parking bus with state of our defence was never possible to go through. I thought Guus would think the same...

Sacking Emenalo and Gravoiskaia would be first thing in summer to do. Our last three windows were terrible. I hope Conte or whoever brings some of his men. Must say while Im not sold on Conte, he made some super deals at juve with Pirlo, Vidal, Tevez, Pogba. If he is responsible for those transfers, all respect.
-
I have just one thing against him; why are all managers we have so fucking scared every damn time? We had absolutely nothing to lose this season, Hiddink feels no pressure because he wont be coach next year, so why the fuck not go all out? We tried defensive last season and got spanked. Yet we go again. We dont even have good defence to play that style anymore ffs. We lose first game and still cant go forward in rematch. Whoever next manager will be; either park the bus but you better succeed at it or simply play football like every other big team in europe does. Talk from Motta that Hidding here is bad for them because now we would play football, well there was absolutely no difference if Mou or Hiddink was on bench vs psg. Apart from that some good calls, but Im sick to death that our coaches and players have no balls to go forward these days.
-
In case if Mou succeeds at another club, and would be linked with return here, it would be funny if everyone would get uber excited despite shiting on him on daily basis these days. The man partly fucked up our current team, but no one should ever forget what he achieved with this club.
-
Also comparing us with psg, our movement and positioning with and without the ball is absolute rubbish. From defense to midfield to attack. No intelligent pressing, no runs in final third, no pass options, no collective marking, no understanding between players. Little linkup between fullbacks ans wingers. How are u supposed to play counter football if you dont even know basics...now sometimes our play is wonderful, but sometimes it looks like you would throw eleven random players from retirement on field. Someone should do some homework.
-
Unfortunely Pjanic and Cesc without ball possesion are as useful as sun glasses in cloudy weather. Pjanic is slightly more mobile, Cesc tackles more, but they both have big weaknesses. Even in possesion, Cesc is suspicious under pressure unlike Modric, Veratti, Iniesta etc. First we need top experienced CB to pair with Zouma, think Godin. Then we need top B2B, think Matuidi or Naingolan. Then we need quality finisher to give some versatility in attack along Costa. -----------------Tibo---------------- ---Azpi-Zouma-Godin-LB?-- ------Matuidi-Matic-Cesc------ ----------Hazard/Willian-------- --Costa-Griezmann/Hazard-- With Godin, we improve defense, with Matuidi, we bring balance, speed and workrate in middle, with Griz we bring goals. Should Conte arrive, 4:3:1:2 is one of his formations he worked with before, so its possible.
-
We would concede after 5 min if it wasnt for Iva block. Dont know what was Tibo thinking on Di Maria run. First he went out of goal, then back, in the end he was somewhere between and still almost conceded from same position like last time against Cavani. Except this time Iva put leg behind Tibo back or that ball would end in goal. He looked nervous as fuck through whole match and now for couple games. When Iva was yelling at him you could see in his face he is lost and has little confidence. And that is bad for whole team. Needs to get mentaly stronger like rest of squad.
