Well then if you have a team of similar aged players, some years later they all have to be replaced nearly the same time which is impossible. Every team needs young hungry and experienced wise players to work. We are in position where all our experienced players left and we didnt make proper replacements back then, thats why we have to sign one or two older players. Be it Nainggolan or whoever else. Besides if someone is realy good, doesnt matter if he is 22 or 30. Sheva was already in decline, while Maka or Ballack played big part here despite their age. Age got nothing to do with why someone like Sheva floped. Torres was at peak years and flopped too. Its all about form of player and Nainggolan in this case isnt going down, but keeps high level of performances. Its allright to build dynasty and all, but we already have Azpi, Tibo, Kante, Eden, Alonso who will form that dynasty here hopefuly. We will probably get younger RWB and striker, thats why midfielder and another CB can be older. That gives you 7 younger and four experienced players (Luiz, Pedro, CM, CB) which is perfect. Soon we will also hopefuly improve our RW with someone near Edens age, so theres that.

It sounds right, obviously. Pogba didnt deserve 90m, neither did Higuain, or Belotti for 50. But market is not ''right'' for years. He has many years left and plays for psg who has money and big ambitions. He is young and already performed well for years now. Going by market prices these days, that pretty much varrants at least 80m. Belotti rumours pops out, 50m. Kessie 40m, Diawara 40m, Bakayoko 40m,....Verratti 50m? And there were those rubbish rumours about 30m bids. Its funny dont you think? PSG will sell him for giant price IF they sell him and whoever will be bidding, it starts at around 60-70m and on. These rumours coming out are plain bs I guess, the press will link us to every player on globe.

Spuds didnt get the memo we are already champions lol
-
Ridiculous prices thrown around daily, yet every time Chelsea is linked with Verratti they say 30m, 40m, 50m lol. Someone is taking the piss.

I know, but this is all Alexis style of play. Its his decision making. He must know better and quicker when to pass and when to dribble. He is far from great link-up player. Very good for a striker standards, but rather average for a top winger. He is soo frustrating at times, making these weird decisions by dribbling infront of his own penalty area or trying to do all alone. Since we were linked with them, I watched more of Arsenal games and he often passes too late or not at all. if he is going to be on our right, his decision making must be on top and his understanding with Eden and striker, but I dont think that would be the case. He likes to be superstar of the team, he complains alot and gets very frustrated if things go south, once that happens, all you can do is sub him. However I respect his work rate. Sometimes I think I see two different players on pitch. One that scores goals and tracks back alot, then the other who frustrates the shit out of supporters with solo dribbles and complains. Then there is his age. I agree we need one or two more experienced leaders, but Alexis is not that. He is not long term solution and neither someone who will be brilliant addition to squad. I can totaly see him at City and do Sterling. Allright player, but nothing realy extra. Maybe Im wrong, and if there is no other option, I guess Alexis would be allright. But big rival fee, his age, his attitude may not be worth the hassle. Maybe just get someone who does not have our rival's label and will make his name in PL as Chelsea player.

No player is great in every game. Griezmann had quite amount of very good games against top sides, while James is not playing in such games because he goes in hidding much like Cesc did against better teams. Like you said his attitude is poor and that gets exposed by better teams. Yeah, Griezmann is not penalty taker and should not take them in first place. Besides Griezmann will always be judged by scored goals, James is being evaluated by whole performance and even if Griezmann gets decent performance, but doesnt score, people will say he was average.
-
That sucks. I would expect considering PL is english, you would have even more games covered in UK.
-
This is why we shouldnt get him. He has these farts every match, sometimes very near arsenal penalty area.
-
It makes sense. If other game is more exciting/important and you still catch celebrations from champions, obviously they will do that. But I would also expect sky or whoever to stream more than just one game on their channels.
-
Just wondering, you guys have no other channels to watch Chelsea games other than Sky/bt sports? I know they are official partners, but I would expect you guys get several channels to watch your favourite team. Even in my country, there are like 5 domestic sport channels showing PL games, there I could pick between 3-5 games every week, and I could see Chelsea every matchday.

Isco is alot quicker on ball than James. In the end its all about that. How quick you pass the opponents. Isco is basicaly slower version of Hazard, while James is more of Ozil, with better shot. Well tbh we dont play with wingers. Eden and Pedro are more of second forwards or sth, with Moses and Alonso providing width and crosses. I agree Isco is not best choice for the spot, Griezmann would be ideal. But he is just so good on the ball (almost Eden). It would give us another option in attack when Eden is marked/not in form. While James and Isco are not fast, they have entirely different style. Isco is quicker on ball, great dribbler and can either pass or shoot. He has good balance. James on other hand has better vision and great shot. Thats why Isco fits our right side better than James. I was never impressed with James attitude either tbh. Very poor in big games. Realy wish we get Griezmann tho.

I would love if he retired here. And Chelsea should without a doubt retire #26. Its very unusual number and Terry is the man that was raised at Chelsea and captained it for over a decade on highest level. It would be the right thing to do.

Yeah the board must support Conte this time. I think interest in CL from Roman, players and Conte is once again increasing and maybe we will spend bit more. I would say we will never pay 90m for any player, but in this case we have 70m from Oscar alone and Costa who might leave for crazy money, never mind the market went crazy in past years. Im positive we can spend that on one player and still have left for other targets. The question is if board wants that.
-
We are champions, with CL next year, top manager, some great players, and we definately have money (Oscar sale) to get Griezmann. For Antoine, Chelsea should be no brainer, he would play along Hazard and Kante in balanced team with team mates close to his age. His position would be second striker, nearly perfect, meanwhile he would be on wing for United with alot of tracking back. Unless the reason is money or such big love for Pogba, Griezmann should chose us. We were interested in Griz for years now and we still have Costa who might be the ticket to get Griezmann, at least from Atletico's perspective. Sure its all about Chelsea policy, if we wont spend bit more, we will be in trouble. Maybe not next year, but soon. Dybala, Verratti, Neymar,...neither is available. So to improve, we need to go all on Griezmann or Isco, with former suiting us more. Pedro is quality this season too, so if he keeps up, we should be fine for now, but with player like Griz, we reach next level. I would go balistic if we pulled such move in summer.

I know but they didnt put such shift in some bigger games this season. But since they were the MAIN guys yesterday among all our bench teammates, it was great attitude from those two to take the responsibility and show good performance. Eden's running and tracking was absolutely unbelievable, he is turning into quite a working player. Pedro was excellent too after coming on. The more I think, the more I want Grizi here. This season he realy turned to a very hard working player (I always thought he is bit too fragile and couldnt play whole 90min in PL, but this season he improved so much). Never mind his composure and efficiency in front of goal. Imagine Eden Grizi and our striker run on counter attack, its goal guaranteed. And Grizi is such a cool guy too. Chelsea material attitude.
-
Funny game, happy almost everyone got chance to play. I didnt realy care about the result but after 3:1 and then 3:3 I hoped we can score one more. 90points, 29 victories and 80 goals scored with one more game to be played. Not bad season at all. Willian, Eden and late Pedro were electric for such unimportant match. Great attitude.
-
Cool lineup Conte, looking forward to see what they can do. No RLC too bad, was looking to see what he can do in full game with no pressure. At least everyone else is ready for party, gonna be interesting game no matter the result. Come on chels

Reading that and Eden coments is such music to my ears, thanks for posting that. With Cech, Lamps, Drogba, and soon Terry gone, we are truly entering a new era at chelsea and I was never realy sure if we will ever replace those players, that squad was just too good. And with all these rumours you never know whats gonna happen with our key players, but these comments give me lot of hope for our new squad. Its first time I genuinely think Tibo, Eden and others are on great course to become our legends like Cech or Didi one day. I always thought, they are top top players, but not realy true blue, because of certain departure one day. However I think its slowly but steadily changing. Im sure Tibo was planning to leave us at one point, but now he is leaning to make a career here. So is Eden. The titles they are winning here will hopefuly bond them together and we will have one hell of great team. They were top players for few years now. But if they start loving Chelsea like old guard, their performances will reach completely new levels. Its what true passion does. Exciting times ahead indeed

James is a classic CAM. He was never quick enough for a winger at Porto or Real even tho he played there. But Ancelotti played Di Maria-Alonso-Modric in his first season with Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema up. and then replaced Dimaria with James who never kept his place. I never particulary liked either James or Isco because they think they are some wannabe stars, they dont want to leave Real, but at same time they keep saying they will leave if they dont get more play time. What they need to do is perform on pitch, at least Isco is doing that recently (last seasons he was selfish, flashy dribbler and rather useless thats why he didnt play, now he is more team player). James meanwhile alright player, but to me he is far from what we need. He hides in big games, much like Cesc. Now Cesc is good player too, but for only against specific teams and we dont want another similar player. Now if we continue next season with the same formation, we basicaly need better Pedro. Striker alone is not enough to score goals, and while Eden scores quite a few, he is not natural finisher. Idealy we need either Griezmann or Sanchez, someone realy quick, efficient and direct with good finish. Im positive we will be playing on quick counters alot next season, moreso against top teams and trio of Eden-Morata?-Griezmann/Alexis would be deadly. But again, I value mentality over talent and for that reason Sanchez, James, Ozil and Isco never been high on my wish list, tho Isco plays much better these days. That said James would cost close to 70m, lol fuck that. Get Griezmann for 90 then or in Costa swap. If United ends up with James I wouldnt worry at all as long we get a top player too.
-
And play him where? RW? He is slow and doesnt have that close space dribbling ability. Isco has that and I think it could work in PL because he is like a slower Eden. But James wont work here in this formation.
-
He was cought on camera praising Chelsea. Isco or Griezmann if we realy want to improve that right side. If those two aint possible, Pedro is allright until someone is available. I dont rate Sanchez that much, while Mahrez had poor season and could either turn good or bad. Lemar wants to stay in Monaco. Silva is good to, but for that quoted price we can try Griezmann instead and add few more millions.
-
if Isco is available, we should get him. One year left on contract and Im sure we have all the chances (plenty of spanish players, good coach, regular spot, competition for titles, CL,...) to get him if he wants to leave Real. Thats a big IF tho.
-
He was still brilliant last season. For Real and in euros. On bosman and as back up option, wouldnt have against it at all.
-
Yes him going forward reminds you of Marcelo or Alves. Definately has that potential. His defending aint perfect for RB but would definately work as RWB and given the fact Conte would train him. I agree with Skipp, Nelsinho is only RWB we should be targeting. Having someone like him would allow our "RW" to completely focus on playmaking or scoring goals, because Nelson would provide great width.
