Morata is brilliant ballplaying striker. His skill is miles ahead of Lukaku. He doesnt score that much, but then again he doesnt play that much and when he does he is usualy SS. IMO Morata is perfect if you play two striker system. But maybe Conte can make him work as lone striker too. Definately has more in his locker than any other striker we were linked with, but he doesnt score as many goals indeed.

You are forgetting that only reason Benzema works in RM is because Cr scores so many goals. Benzema doesnt need to score them all. Here, Benzema would be our main goal threat because we dont have any other natural scorer. We need efficient, technical striker and neither Benzema, Aubameyang or Lukaku fit that. Maybe Belotti or Lacazette, but those two arent proven yet.

Atletico was crap yesterday, but Real is playing brilliant in Champions league. They have complete team, creative, prime years, top fullbacks, good Gk, great defense, midfield and attack. Goals everywhere. I think only Juve can stop them because they are great in CL this year too. If they dont win la liga this year, they wont win it in 10 years. They have all the ref help and barca is in worse state in ages.

If we get Kroos type of player, you do know what will happen tho? Kante will no longer be our b2b, but our holding DM, which limits his abilities. Also, we will be weaker in defense, because we already lack steel even with Matic. Sure idealy, with Kroos type of player and better wingbacks, we would eventualy try to dominate more and we wouldnt need as many bodies in defence, but hell our team will never dominate, its just not in our DNA. I like idea about ballplaying CM, but in that case we would need to switch to 3:5:2.

Well when fit he is one of three top CBs in PL, other two being Azpi and Alderweireld. You can throw Kos and Verthongen in there when they have good day. Verthongen is better than Aldo this year, but generaly speaking he is not. Kos makes some stupid mistakes too often to get in top 3. That said, he plays for Soton and will definately need to join bigger club to prove himself at next level and get recognition as one of best in europe. But he certainly has that ability to be one. I agree 50m is too much, that Christensen deal is even worse. But 40m alone, I think he is worth the risk. Powerful CB who is also good on the ball, consistent past two seasons and leader. Perfect age too. I do fear his recent injury might halt his progress, but before that I would take him in a heart beat. Luiz, Azpi, Cahill, Dijk, Christensen and either Ake/Zouma would be great to go next season. I hate how players like Belotti or Dijk are so expensive these days when they are not proven in europe, but neither was Eden and I see similar potential in those players, just different positions.

Brilliant performance. Very good teamwork, we were tight in defense and good enough in attack, second half especialy. Besides usual performers, Matic was amazing too. Giant win, we scored 11 goals against three quality teams, finaly a clean sheet too and completely unexpected. We have easier games on paper now, but we shouldnt underestimate anyone.

I find his comments very unnecessary sometimes. He talked about city and money, when we spend alot ourselves. Sure city spent more and should be higher on table, but the money doesnt guarantee success. We spend lot of money too. Secondly, those comments about underdogs, specificaly to Poch pre Spurs game. He said Poch need to drop that underdog excuse for his team. Then again, Conte said we are the underdogs many times. We are certainly not underdogs. We have some of best players in league, we are top of table and we win most of games. We cant be the underdogs, not in england atm. Some comments he makes are realy pointless.

If we let Eden go, I want Neymar/Dybala and Verratti. End of story. We must improve the squad, not weaken it. Sanchez never realy impressed me and Carassco while good player, not even close to Eden. Eden is best dribbler in world along Messi and Neymar. He is also kind of playmaker. Neymar and Verratti are only young players on that level. And even then, call me crazy, but I rather keep Eden than have Neymar+Verratti.

In the end if he leaves, we will have giant job replacing him. There is not a single player available that can replace Eden. Hopefuly he stays. BUT if there comes day he leaves, the club better fork shit load of money for at least two of Griezmann, Dybala and Bernardo. That said, here is what I think about Eden and Chelsea. He surely is good enough for Real or Barca. He would be one of best players there IMO. He is also by mile best Chelsea player. But does that mean we should sell him? We are not a selling club. Robben and Ribery were absolute class but they didnt leave Bayern. Same with Aguero at city. We are on verge of second PL title in 3 years, its great achievement. I have no doubt we will do well in europe once we get final pieces to this squad. We pay players well, they live in London and we have amazing manager. We will move to bigger stadium in few years. The project we have is alright. There is no need for us to bow to Real. All this rumours about Eden leaving shouldnt make fans scared. Because by any means, our board should keep Eden here. ONLY reason is if Eden pushes for move and that will be only if he is not satisfied with his current life. And with all we can offer, if he still aint happy, then obviously he will leave, but that says alot about our club position too. If we cant keep players like Eden then we are doing something wrong. In that case then every great player will once leave us and join spanish giants. Sure Real is huge prestige and how can you refuse it, but Ribery stated once he is more than happy in Bayern, even before they were so good. His love for the club was bigger than desire to play for more prestigious club. Its now up to Eden if he likes our club more than prestige of playing for Real.

Tbh I expect spurs drawing/losing against either Utd or Arsenal. That said, as long we win our games, I dont care. Everton and Wba will be tough, but hopefuly we get past both. Other games are easier on paper, but I feel we will not win them all.

I know, it would be stupid considering his versatility and potential, but I think that is what club would do if we get other player. Add Christensen, new Cb and potentialy two new wingbacks and there is absolutely no room for Ake if Zouma, Cahill, Azpi, Luiz. Probably Ake wouldnt be happy with such role either. Unless obviously we loan Zouma out, then Ake takes his place.

Matic had three brilliant seasons IMO, 2012/13 with Benfica, then 2013/14 and most of 2014/15. He decreased alot last season, while this season he is neither awful, neither at his best. When he came from Benfica, he was alot more dynamic and agressive, he also tried to dribble more. During late stages of title season he became very pragmatic, much like the rest of squad, bar Eden and Costa. He played safe, stayed back. And since then he never went back to his previous form, as if he lost grit. Its a shame realy, because he was truly imposing in 2014. That said, he always looked very good in CL. I think he is nowhere near as bad as people point out. He is valuable player for this team and allows Kante to roam around, while he protects the back and does basics. However recent weeks we have been leaking in defence and Im not sure which fault it is, problably collective. But I agree, we desperately need a better midfielder, someone who is more dynamic and better with ball. Matic plays in crucial position in midfield, if we had Alaba instead of Alonso, it would be easier, but in this case Matic is the main link on our left midfield and he is awfuly poor in passing and ball control, bar some unbelievable moments. Comparing him with Fellaini in recent united game, Matic makes Fellaini look like Iniesta. His role is certainly still important, so I would definately keep him next season. But we NEED to buy another quality midfielder. Thankfuly for us, there are so many options like Nainggolan, Bakayoko, Tollisso, Saul, Weigl, and a plethora of others. No excuse not to sign someone. Its only up to Conte if he wants established player or up and coming one who will be a part of next Chelsea generation, then someone more physical or skilled.

Im sure either him or Zouma wont be in our squad next season. Zouma would go on loan or Ake would be sold. Cahill, Luiz, Azpi, Christensen, new CB and either Zouma or Ake. Ake was brilliant against Spurs, not only his defensive work, but his composure on ball and he looks quite mature in his play. Very nice. Zouma on other hand, is having nightmare of a season so far. Indeed he is coming from big injury and it will take time, but most probably expected that he will gain his composure by now, however his displays were very nervous so far. Judging by that, I think sending Zouma on loan would make more sense.

Brilliant once again. So happy he got the reward. Eden deserves it too and he is probably best footballer in england, but Kante is the real motor of this team and Im very very happy fans and players appreciate his importance.

I think the whole formation, Conte training and players understanding is reason we are conceding. I doubt simply placing Dijk will solve it. Yeah, maybe when its direct duel between Dijk and opponent, but we need to improve the defense as a whole. Plus is that current defense is together for only a year in this formation. Minus is that 3 man defense is just awful to play in CL. And while we can double the sides with Azpi-Moses and Alonso-Cahill, our center remains open. And if Cahill and Azpi go to center, opponent have alot more space on wings which allows them perfect cross. Big decision for Conte in summer. --- As for this game, very good attacking performance, Cesc is perhaps in my favourite shape since his arrival. He isnt as influental, but his allround play is alot better. He chases opponents, he seems to do slightly better in tight areas and reacts better under pressure. But could be just one off game like it was before. Good game for Eden, Costa too. Defense was quite poor tho, Soton did us many times with those double passes around our pen area where they were completely unmarked. It looked awfull. 11 games without cleansheet, maybe we surprisingly keep it against everton, but as long we win, I dont realy mind.

He might be in awful form, no one denies it, but people talk of him as if he is the biggest cunt we had in past 10 years. Seriously fuck off with those comments. Yeah I agree. Either we will be up for it or we wont. Fitness wont play that big part because if everyone wants title, they will give all they can. If we go in game with same approach like last week, we can have one month off and we wont win. I hope spurs game wasnt one-off and we get a good run now. Based on game, I think we were super efficient based on individal skill, but little team action in attack, so who knows. Just hope we are on fire for soton.
