I think its not as easy to just point out that we need a new midfielder and then pick one of the "popular" group of midfielders from recent season. Throwing names just because they are midfielders is no go in real world. Take example at Fabinho. Everyone seems to be loving idea of having him next to Kante. Why not? He is midfielder and we need a midfielder right? Well if you look closely we have open spot on LEFT side of midfiled, Kante being on right. Fabinho played whole season on RIGHT side, never mind he played as RB before. Despite its easy as pie in Fifa to play Fabinho there, in real football, this transition of Fabinho from his prefered right to left side could be quite big or maybe impossible, limiting his abilities, hindering his skill. Its a little detail, but generaly speaking, just because there are Fabinho, Milinkovic, Strootman,...out there, it doesnt mean they fit OUR spot because they are midfielders.

English players are crap nowdays, more or less. Spurs are doing realy well indeed, but thats exception. Its not about giving chances and play time, english players are unbelievably average. Thats what hurting Englang national team, not us or City developing and playing english players. Henderson, Wilshere, Stones, Sterling,...all got plenty of play time, but they are simply not on highest level. Nevermind, it was the smaller teams developing most of talent, who then moved to United, Chelsea,...if there were top english talents, we would play them. The real blame is on these smaller clubs. In spain, you have sevilla, valencia, betis,...developing every season. Same in germany, italy. Then bigger teams buy them and play. In england? Almost no one is good enough to start. Another thing, in germany you can get player like Dahoud for 10m. And thats around the standard. Here, you need to fork 40m for Barkley. Lol. But it would be stupid to limit us and play the likes of Barkley just because they are english. I agree its big big shame we soon might not have any english players, but I still prefer quality foreign ones over overpriced average english. In the whole england there is only Bertrand I would consider good enough to be starter for us, if I dont count spurs players who would never be sold to us. Its sad situation.

Certainly both games against Spurs, it will give nice overall of how he played against good, well known opposition that we play in league, therefore some simple conclusions can be made. Then in ligue 1, against better teams, see home games vs Psg and Marseille (but marseille was crap that game tho)

I think he meant CL too. Mandzukic was pivotal there, despite Gomez being better finisher.

In CL he had quite restricted role more or less, limiting him. He was ordered to sit back and protect the line, make simple passes. He was realy good in both spurs games, but I was not even close to impressed against City and Juve, he could be alot better, however again, his role was to protect the back. Fabinho is definately more attacking generaly, more allround, but in ligue 1, they exchange who goes forward and who stays back, because both have advantages. Fabinho is better passer, Bakayoko is better dribbler. Generaly speaking, Bakayoko was brilliant in ligue 1, very powerful player. Simply said, he is better version of Matic, more mobile, better dribbler and quicker. Great at getting the ball back. His weakness is however first touch and passing, specificaly against better teams like in CL. I cant say he is much better than Matic. He can be very frustrating in this part of game. But again, against spurs he was great both legs. That said, he can improve alot, in his best version he is very similar to Yaya and if he gets more consistent, we will have hell of a player. Tolisso is alot more techical and still quite strong, making him ideal player, but that would mean Kante always playing DM with Tolisso going up. Bakayoko offers alot more versatility and gives Kante freedom to be B2B.

I dont realy see the point of this signing. The fee is giant, he is in 30s (which is not a problem, but maybe we should look for someone younger with Cahill and Luiz both in 30s already), nevermind we have Luiz AND Christensen for his position already. Bonucci would be wasted as LCB or RCB, nevermind the real reliableb defenders in juve are Barzagli and Chiellini.

Im realy happy with this signing, he was brilliant for Monaco. I did warm up for Tolisso tho, he is more techical, but Bakayoko is still powerful midfielder with good runs, spurs and others wont bully our midfield anymore.

You are so black and white. All you see is how I defend Costa and blaming others, when its not the case at all. Read my posts carefuly. I literaly said Costa is unprofessional. Im not the kind of guy that changes opinion (in this case football releated) on player instantly after reading some bs in media or seeing certain player perform poor for a while. Its a fact that Costa has brought plenty of good to Chelsea, the club I supported through most of my life. Often these are total bollocks, but makes me wonder why some players go and like half of the team they are linked with every now and then. However if we sell Costa AND loan Bats (both very likely) we will definately go for two quality forwards. If we actualy end up with both Morata and Lukaku, it would be brilliant. Not biggest fan of Lukaku, but these two would compliment each other quite good I think. One pure finisher and other being technical second striker. Btw, checked out he liked those accounts in mid May, this Edvin guy is just stiring shit now
