Tbh the ONLY way Pep will be winning trophies is if 1:) oppisition is below expectations or 2.) If he creates absolutely perfect team like his prime barca. His tactics have flaws and as long he doesnt have top top team or opponent isnt good, he wont win it. He had brilliant Bayern team and didnt do anything spectacular. Nevermind it will take a while for his team to gel together and all the talents actualy develop fully. By then he might not be at club anymore. I do fear City abit in 5 years or so, and United too. They will spend like mad to get back. What we need is improve our team and keep key players. Prime, Tibo, Azpi, Kante, Eden, and improvements should keep us a top for a while.

I know. Its cool they try to play that style. But we talk about finale here where playing like that is totaly unacceptable. For same reason I dont like Mou tactics against West ham or Watford, scoring one and parking bus. But when we talk about finale, I cant say he picked wrong tactics. You dont play the finals, you win them. Even so, its nice that Ajax got to finals, they have some cool talent over there (not sure about the coach tho), but for all the praise they are getting, it needs to be known they failed to win eredivisie which has been poor for a while now. They have some realy nice talents and squad average is lowest of all, but if this was realy good team, they would have won Eredivisie at least. They need trophies to win and their approach is making that harder, but they will probably lose all their best talents before that. Bottom line, I dont like totalvoetbal philosphpy tho. I mean, its great to watch indeed, but with such tactics you need damn best players in world to win trophies like that. Defenders should be defenders first, goal should be winning, not playing nice. Totalvoetbal is the opposite. It makes things harder for yourself. And no matter how nice you play at the end winning is absolutely all that matters.

He used to be kinda fragile, but since last summer, he improved alot. He can run whole games now and tracks back alot.
-
I honestly think there is zero chance of this move. He will probably leave because Poch got in argument with him, but he will go anywhere but Chelsea. Would be interesting move tho. Theres not many good english players. But here we talk about big big money, I dont think Walker is worth that much. Very good player, but not elite.
-
Very very raw player. I have no idea why Bosz instructed CBs to dribble through the middle in finale! If our defenders did that I would get heart attack. However the difference De Ligt knew when to do it and when to simply pass the ball. And dont forget Sanchez dribbled twice infront of his goal, was lucky he didnt lose the ball. The moment with Rashford, the ball fortunely deflected from Rashford's, if it didnt, Rash would be alone in front of goal. I get Ajax try to play this style, but its finale we are talking about. And Sanchez is in years when he will develop his style. A CB should always be pragmatic first and creative second.

Officialy to Monaco for 25m.

Not a good game at all. As individual yes, but this is finale and finale can be only won as a team. He was ridiculously selfish several times, just like in eredivisie matches. Ask any fan they will all say he is selfish as hell. I dont even care if he made many of those dribbles because they all ended up with nothing at all. You need to know when to pass and he doesnt. Same with Younes, another poor player tonight, much like the rest of his season. Dolberg should be better. Only player realy impressing was De Ligt. Sanchez made some rash mistakes.
-
Indeed. De Ligt realy impressed me the most.

Well it does. London rivalry plays big part. Then you have United Pool rivalry because of history. Meaning we cant trade with either Arsenal or Spurs. Meanwhile we are Manchesters main competition so they wont sell either. Pool just hates us tho. We have been most sucessfull english team these past few years, so its obvious they dont want to trade with us. We just play in wrong city because Arsenal and Spurs are perfect selling teams who will sell to anyone but us because city rivalry. For us, its pretty much only foreign market because rest of PL league is almost useless for us. They used to have some quality homegrown talents, but nowdays they just buy and buy, fill their squads with overpaid foreign players because they can. There are few 1st 11 players interesting for us like Lukaku, Dijk, Bertrand and when it comes to them, we can arguably get better from other leagues for maybe even less money.
-
Just going by the rumours. Everton wants close to 100m for Lukaku and Arsenal will definately want 50m for Alexis considering we are rivals. Thats 150m. For that money we can basicaly compete for nearly any player we want (obviously if they want to join us). Sure we can do alot worse than Lukaku. But we should target someone who is better than Costa at his best, which Lukaku definately isnt. Obviously those are unlikely, but we should at least try. Griezmann might be off, but I dont agree Isco wont fit us. He is almost as good as Eden on the ball, that would give us another dimension in game. Gnabry btw is having brilliant season, he definately has the potential. He would be the kind of transfer like Azpi was. If we cant get anyone from top like Grizi, Isco etc,...Gnabry would be more than welcome. Not expensive and some serious potential. But obviously we should aim higher right now.
-
If we are prepared to spend 150m plus on Lukaku and Sanchez, then we should target Griezmann/Isco/Silva/Lemar maybe even Gnabry for RW spot. I have no idea about the striker though, Lukakus mentality is not my cup of tea, Belotti is rather unproven and Morata needs to have another goalscorer next to him. But I think I would go for Morata. Even better, if Costa decides to stay, I would be more than happy. Sanchez gonna be 29 soon, he likes Arsenal alot, I would prefer we target someone younger who can create history here and be remembered as Chelsea boys like Eden and Azpi. Now very unrealistic, but lets say we get 80m for Costa, we can easily bid 80m for Lewandowski, think Bayern wouldnt refuse that. 100m is alot and I dont think Lukaku is worth it. I completely agree, passion is big part with players. Those who love club will put even better perfornances. Lukaku might be fan of Chelsea, but I doubt he will give that passion. He has big ambitions, but Im not sure if has right thinking to achieve them. He demands the respect and move to a big club, but he has to earn it. Right now, I see him as big fish in small pound. Regardless of goals he scores, the only two reasons I would get him are that he is young, so he can improve and likes Chelsea. Not sure he is already established striker to lead us into glory.

I heard it has been lifted, but not from very reliable source, so dont take it for granted. That said, Lacazette and lyon boss pretty much said Lacazette is leaving Lyon for Atletico, so I guess if ban wasnt lifted just yet, there is huge possibility it will be soon. You just know Lacazette will be next big thing in atletico, after Aguero, Falcao, Costa and Griezmann haha I also think its very good thing United and city gonna spend alot this summer. All these years, best players were leaving england and spain totaly dominated europe. I think things will slowly change and eventualy english clubs and football will be back on top. Thats great for Chelsea also, because we will simply have to improve and improve if we want to be competitive against manchesters. Some realy promising seasons ahead for Premier League.

Griezmann also said his future will be finalised in next two weeks...
-
I would never think of him as a cosplay person

I think Azpi is not good enough for RWB. He is already limited as RB. His RCB position is absolutely perfect because he is brilliant defender and good on ball (for CB) But for RWB, we need quick, skilled player that will provide attacking threat since we wont have wingers. Nelsinho would be my top priority. Funny how we look at LwB when we need RWB more. Alonso is good enough to play next season, we just need some back up for him. But for Moses, I think we can make improvement. He is good, but we should definately get someone like Nelsinho to create serious competition. Getting world claas CM and two quality wing backs should be our priority. Pedro has been brilliant this season, I think we can survive another one with him. For CB we already have Christensen. That leaves us enough money to get top midfielder and two wingbacks. If we need striker, then Costa money should be enough for that. Im quite sure next season will depend on who we get for that CM spot and if Costa leaves, who will replace him. Hopefuly Conte and board make good decisions.
-
Aguero wasnt PL proven when he came to england. Neither did Suarez or Costa. Its all about skill and mentality. Tbh if we get Lukaku and Alexis, everyone will be jumping off their seats, but watch those two play and they will bang hattrick each against wba and shit their pants against bayern real barca. I hope we pick better options than those two.
-
Entertainment wise, yeah that would be great. But success wise not so. We were always playing on emotions and mentality rather consistent quality. Lets say we play Barca, Napoli and Leipzig in groups, we need to give consistent run againt everyone to get further. This is where I think our club is not yet on that level. If we get lesser teams, we progress one way or other. Once we are in elimination stages, the further we go, the more emotions will be around for us to progress. And we are rather good in such moments. Thats why I can see us win against barca, napoli etc in elimination stages, but not so much in group stages when we dont yet have that drive. Its wrong mentality, but its how we played CL for a while now. Maybe Conte will change it tho.
-
I completely agree with you. He is like the Mertesacker of midfielders. So much skill on the ball, so much speed. He must play against Arsenal, so we can see the clash of titans between Matic and Mertesacker.
-
Terry, Lahm, Alonso, Thiago, Totti. So many legends leaving this season
-
Well these goal to min comparissons are rather pointless. Its great he is finaly getting back on track and scoring, we all knew he has potential back then when he signed. The same hype train went around in august, but soon everything calmed down. So what if he managed to score all these goals in such short time? Cool, we have nice potential striker, but it means nothing at all. Its potential, not definite. Giroud, Ba, Remy had decent ratios too, doesnt mean they can start as Chelsea striker. I will start Bats hype when he does two things; convince Conte that he is capable of playing every game as first choice and secondly, return that faith from Conte in form of at least 20 goals next season and good performances in big games. Thats when hype can start. He is promising, but got a long way to go. Its nice he got some time at the end, he deserved it.

And now his watch has ended Mr Chelsea the greatest captain there ever was, thank you for everything

CAMPEONES CAMPEONES wish all you chelsea fans happy celebrations Keep the blue flag flying high

Its alright mate, nobody is At least if we play realy well in FA cup final, we can give him some minutes there too

Tbh laliga and ligue 1 has sleeve spnsors for a while (example barca-beko) and I guess if PL gets sleeve sponsors, doesnt mean we will soon be putting them everywhere. Its just following what others are doing. Some leagues even allow sponsor on back where usualy players name is with players name under the number or vice versa. PL was very restriced and clean so far when it comes to sponsors. Sleeve sponsor will only replace PL badge on one side, so it should still look clean more or less. Unless obviously logo is ridiculous like our Carabao. But City one doesnt look that bad tbh. I agree side logos should only be in white or black single colour. Psg, Barcelona have them in white so its allright. But if we throw whole carabao logo with that red bull it will look rather awful.
-
Wish we dont do that, but its gonna happen most probably.
