I never said there was anything wrong with the analysis. What i meant was that...at the end of the day, the analysis from the Everton game is simple: we failed to score. Anyway, i'm not too worried about defensive errors, they can be ironed out....but the lack of a clinical finisher is very concerning.

I just don't see him making it at Chelsea He's way down the pecking order and he doesn't seem to have developed his skill-set.

Yeh, it just doesn't add up. He scores 17 goals for a decent West Bromwich team and instead of giving him confidence & easing him into the first team.. We decide to loan him out to Everton...

I share your concern about our central midfield issues. We had the chance to go out, splash the cash and potentially fix up our midfield by adding a player capable of pulling the strings from a deeper position. It was the perfect time to strengthen our team, considering United & City are still finding their feet with the new managers. However, for some reason, we decided to add Willian who is a good player...but he doesn't solve any of our problems.

I wouldn't mind the signing of Barkley...but I'd rather see Chelsea give Chalobah a proper chance to make it. I don't follow that much youth football but from what i have seen, Chalobah seems to have that extra bit of calmness, maturity at a young age.

Would be great to see Bertrand get a game if he's fit... Feel bad for the guy, just sitting on the bench, waiting for an opportunity..

The problem for us is that apart from Mata, all of our attacking midfielders are inexperienced and/or just getting used to the PL. Hopefully once the players gel together, we'll see much better results.

Would be interesting to see Busquets on a team that averages around 35-40% possession...rather than 70%.

I wouldn't call that imagination. Bringing on a past-it striker was always a stupid move. Everton were probably pleased when they saw Torres come on...cause they know he's useless most of the time.

As for the game, credit to Everton...Martinez finally gets to utilise his ability with a solid group of players. These are the sorts of games that end up costing you the title. United, City & Spurs all strengthened their CM/DM positions..while Chelsea decided to buy another attacking midfielder.

Yeh, we should have spent the 30 million on a new CM/DM...rather than an attacking midfielder.

West Bromwich look toothless this season. Kind of like Sunderland, lack of team chemistry is gonna hurt them.

If only Anderson didn't have so many issues at United (e.g. fitness, motivation)...he could of become a very solid midfielder by now.

Mikel's a good midfielder at the wrong club. He'd be very well suited for a 3 man midfield.. Hope Mourinho gives him a kick up the ass, we need him to play like he did in previous seasons if we seriously wanna win the PL.

I'm hoping Van Ginkel plays an important role as the season goes on...cause we can't go with Ramires - Lampard as our midfield combination for the whole season UNLESS Oscar drops back and supports them. Hopefully as the season goes on...we see Ramires - Mikel or Ramires - MvG as the two midfielders...with Lampard playing 1 in 3 games.

I also don't understand where Cuevas will play at Vitesse...because Van Aanholt is going to be their starting LB Also, the likes of Kakuta, Atsu, Ibarra are going to be fighting it out for the wide positions.
