lol this excellent business by Barcelona. Sold their 27 year old player for 30m+ and now are spending around 60 percent of that money on a young brilliant player.
I think both parties are desperate and hence why this deal is happening. We couldn't get a good deal for Pogba or Vidal and Fabregas needed a club where he would get the chance to play more often. I am sure his first choice would have been a return to Arsenal but looks like Wenger won't be spending 30m+ on a 27 year old. Lets see how it pans out,Fabregas could go on to become one of the most influential buys of the season.
yeah if he is to play here then Ba would have to leave and I know Jose has asked him to stay but we really can not always believe what he says. Also we can not expect him to say that a player will leave.
He's been shit for us but was an incredible player for Athletico and Liverpool(mainly first season). His achievements have been quite remarkable, especially the one when he was captain at just 19. Its just really sad to see a player who had so much potential turn out so bad. . We all have been very patient but Torres must make the decision to leave and embrace a new challenge.
I think Jose will depend upon 2 strikers next season and will keep an extra one as back up. Costa and Lukaku will be our main strikers with Torres probably being our third option. Ideally I would rather have Ba for that role as he would offer more and be much cheaper but if no club is willing to take Torres then we will have to involve him.
The media knows that we are in for a defensive midfielder so they will link us with all the top possible options. The fact that Lampard and Luiz (who often played midfield for us) have left only intensifies this rumour so we shouldn't get excited on one rumour only.
If he does come here then I really do not think he will show the same passion he did at Arsenal and Barcelona. Chelsea was never a club he fancied and for me it'll seem weird because I'll be seeing someone play just because he had no other better option. Yes he's a great player but sometimes I want players like Schurrle to join us because they genuinely want to play and represent the club that they truly support. 30m is a lot of money to spend on a player so it definitely won't be a short term solution.
Liverpool will get a tough group and I doubt they'll even make the knock out stages. Suarez is a great player and can not waste another season at Liverpool,Real Madrid would be the perfect club for his quality and trophy ambition.
