  1. The referee had apparently given the signal to Messi. Referee favoring Barcelona.
  2. OUT 1. Bosingwa 2. Malouda 3. Kalou 4. Drogba 5. Torres 6. Mikel IN 1. Eden Hazard 2. Christian Eriksen 3. Joao Moutinho/Miralem Pjanic 4. Cesar Azpilicueta 5. Giuseppe Rossi 6. Edinson Cavani/Falcao
  3. I see lots of man love for Luiz in that poll.
  4. Next weekend: Liverpool vs Arsenal West Brom vs Chelsea Newcastle vs Sunderland Tottenham vs Man United Crucial week ahead. Don't quite care how we play, just beat West Brom!
  5. Have been pleased with his performances so far. Hope he can only get better for us. And at least he's on the winning side today in a Chelsea vs Bolton fixture considering the latter's history against us.
  6. Apparently, he had a hamstring problem and just recovered a couple of days ago(just found out after I posted the question the other day). Hopefully, we get to see him back soon.
  7. Thank goodness his 16th consecutive start in all competitions streak was over today! Long it may continue!
  8. I know it's only against Bolton(no offence) but great win and great performance. Best game to watch since that Valencia match. Hope we can continue it against West Brom who looked to have picked up their form lately. But for now, I'm just gonna enjoy it and being able to watch the other upcoming matches in peace till next week at least.
  9. I'm gonna puke if Kalou gets a new contract! He has served his time well here but I'm sorry, he needs to go!
  10. Main problem for me is AVB did not play a proper DM in front of the back 4. Both Meireles and Ramires got forward on several occasions and when our attacks break down, Napoli have clear run through the middle on our exposed and backtracking defence.
  11. Out of those 4, I'll take either Cavani or Falcao. However, being biased here, I would like to see us getting Giuseppe Rossi.
  12. Anyone knows what has happened to Romeu? He's not even been in the matchday squad in recent games now!
  13. Thought he played very well last night for Marseille against Inter. Offer some attacking threats forward and has a decent shot in him as well. Unleashed two good half volleys and more importantly, he was very solid defensively. For the quoted 12m price in the January transfer window, we should definitely go get him! One of the better RBs around and it's look worthy for the price mentioned! Will certainly suit AVB's style of play better than Ivanovic and Bosingwa.
  14. Walcott swap for Sturridge?! Good lord! Are we that desperate?! We need a much more intelligent and all around wide player than the one trick pacey pony in Walcott.
  15. Arsenal face Tottenham while Liverpool are in Carling Cup action this weekend. Gotta take advantage of this! Not sure if this match is one for the faint hearted. In the last 3 seasons, we have won this fixture by 1 goal margin and all of them have been nervy wins even we are in a better form heading into those games. With our current form, well, lets just say I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst!
  16. I can probably understand if he wants to leave us in the current circumstances where we just don't seem to be heading anywhere at the moment but think I'll literally crack if he really leaves!
  17. Luiz was just well... being Luiz the other night. No doubt he has improved in recent games but there's just this thing in him where sometimes, he likes overcomplicate things defensively and ended up leaving the team expose.
  18. Lampard has been one of my favorite ever player but I've been massively disappointed with his recent behaviour especially when I look up to him for his professionalism in recent years and for what he has done for the club.
  19. Posted this in the Napoli post match's thread but I'll just post it here as well. AVB's tactical approach and team selection has cost us yet another defeat. It's one thing players making errors but it's another when the manager decides to play no DM away from home in Europe in games like this and wants to play an open attacking football against one of the most potent strikeforce in Europe. Just absolutely ridiculous. Even at 1-0 up, we still attacked and was never ordered to adopt a similar approach to the Valencia game. TBH, I really don't know what is this Roman's obssession with attacking football. Playing attacking football maybe pretty on the eyes but think for most fans, they want to see winning football. There are other way of going about attacking football than the style that AVB wants us to play. I really missed those days where we were solid, organized, physical, tactically sound and being a workmanlike team. Right now, everything is a shambles. We have a manager being totally clueless and stubborn. Players who don't suit AVB's style of play and not putting in enough effort.
  20. Want to rant at yet another pathetic performance but it's getting real tiresome to do so as this has gone for 2 months! What I will say is AVB's tactical approach and team selection has cost us yet another defeat. It's one thing players making errors but it's another when the manager decides to play no DM away from home in Europe in games like this and wants to play an open attacking football against one of the most potent strikeforce in Europe. 21. Not sure if anyone have noticed but yesterday's game was Meireles's 16 consecutive start in all competitions! With the way he's been playing, it's absolutely ridiculous!!
  22. He's certainly look like the perfect replacement for Essien as the engine in our midfield. Only criticism I have on him so far is his finishing. That can be proved further and it would be nice if he add those long range shooting of Essien into his game.
  23. His clean sheet streak came to an end earlier against Gijon, sadly. Next week will be a big test for him as Atletico Madrid will host Barcelona at the Vicente Calderon.
