According to reports going around, RDM said we can expect 2 more signings before the transfer window closes. Likely to be a RB and a ST.

Would definitely keep Ferreira. Already 33 and last year into his contract. Won't get much at all if we sell him anyway. And he's still a useful squad player to have, when needed. The Benfica game last season was a perfect example to that. Regarding who should come in next, well, it should be a RB. Our next priority. Azpilitcueta seems to be main target now and hopefully, we can get him. Not sure about keeping Malouda but do agree with the point you're making. Too many fans have completely underestimated experience and thinking the new players will just come in and blend in straight away without any help. All just think with players like Terry, Cole and Lampard, they'll be all fine.

A case of people underestimating experience when those players can still be useful, even as a squad player for another year or two and overhyping our youth signings too much. Only have to look at Arsenal 4-5 years ago when they sold their experience players and brought in youth.

Personally, not sure about keeping Benayoun especially when it looked like we already have plenty of other options in his position. Think he and Malouda can leave. Keep Meireles and maybe Essien for one more year at least. And yeah, I do agree with the first part there. It totally annoys me lately to see so many Chelsea fans thinking just because we have bought Hazard, Marin, Oscar, KDB etc, we can just toss out the experience players out of the window immediately. It just doesn't work that way!

Just signed a new contract with United recently and although that mean nothing these days, this is United we're talking about. No way Fergie will sell him to us after that happening. All eyes are on Azpilicueta now. If that doesn't work out, then there is still Debuchy or even Pisczek or heck even Van der Wiel(don't want him here of course!) first. Wouldn't want Rafael here anyway. Terrible defender. Similar to Bosingwa.
