  1. Erm, nope. Go read Guillem Balague's Twitter timeline. He said "months" NOT "month"!
  2. Worst of all is you get some parts of the media and ex-managers/players coming out to slate us for our defensive tactics. Feels like they are just being hypocrites as who on earth will be such an idiot to play Barcelona at their own game!! Really, the only time we parked the bus in the CL this season was against Barcelona and maybe Valencia at home. Otherwise,we usually have tried to play and attack the opposition. Against Bayern in the final, the accusations on us being on the defensive have been OTT. The reason why we looked to be doing that was because of our poor ball retention and misplacing passes too easily, which in return, invited constant pressure from Bayern and ended up having to defend most of the time. No. Not at all. Even Barcelona needed some luck to win the CL under Guardiola but almost everyone have been hypnotized by their tiki-taka football that they have overlooked other factors. In 2009, the referee turned down 4-5 LEGITIMATE penalties in favor of them and they were also lucky that we did not put away those chances from open play that we got. Then last year, Van Persie was harshly sent off for just kicking the ball away in the 2nd Last 16 tie at the Camp Nou. Arsenal were still pretty much in that tie then but once they went down to 10 men, they had no chance whatsoever. Moving on to the semis. Pepe was sent off for a supposed tackle on Alves when he didn't even touch him! Was still 0-0 that time but Madrid then lost 2-0 and pretty much the tie.
  3. Nah. Look at it this way. We are already a club hated by the media, pundits and other fans. With Hazard already pissing people off with his attitude in this transfer saga, it would only make sense for him to come here as both are already being hated.
  4. Think we really have to be careful here with the squad overhauling this summer. As much as we all want to get rid of the dead woods, it's imperative that we do not toss them out all at once. While they may not exactly be useful and effective as before, they still have the experience and can be used as a squad player for next season at least AND given that we're gonna have tons of games in the 2012/13 campaign, we could do with having players like that to come in for certain games and do a job for us. Furthermore, we do not want to toss all of them out in one go leaving the squad short of experience and a massive hole where we have to get in most of the replacements this summer. With the FFP rules coming in, we can't go spending like crazy in the upcoming transfer window. So, it's majorly important that we manage who's going out in the upcoming transfer window well as our primary aim is to make sure we get in the right players to fix those positions that we have been having problem with first and not squad players. Sell/release the dead woods step by step, not kick them all out in one shot.
  5. Hating the fact that many are completely over exaggerating that we parked the bus to win the Champions League!
  6. Just saw this. Congrats to the winners!
  7. Regardless, he still pretty much occupy that role behind the striker and I can't imagine Rooney will be happy if he's being pushed further upfront into the ST/CF role. Furthermore, Fergie has always favored 4-4-2 with two strikers. Can't suddenly see him moving away from that to a 4-4-1-1 because of a one player.
  8. Either way, both are not wanted here!
  9. Thought it is Fabio, his brother??
  10. http://blogs.thescore.com/footyblog/2012/05/24/lyttleton-five-memorable-games-from-didier-drogbas-stellar-chelsea-career/ A very good piece on Drogba. Well worth a read.
  11. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2149284/Chelsea-defender-Bruma-stay-HSV-season.html?ito=feeds-newsxml Bruma is gonna stay at Hamburg and see out his final year of the loan spell in Germany. Seems that we inserted the call-back clause in the loan contract.
  12. You're being too kind there. He is bad. Really really bad!
  13. Think I saw that in one of the FFT magazine. Can't remember which month it was.
  14. Totally agree with that 100%!! Again, totally agree with that but it's just what HNKS said above that just kinda piss me off a bit. The media hardly give us any credit for what we achieved!
  15. Poor finishing then. Can't put it down to luck when they had so many chances but couldn't finish it. Their fault. Not ours.
  16. Not going to jump into the bandwagon yet despite what he has said in that interview. Will back him for next season but he's still got a long way to get back to his best and he needs to prove it next season!
  17. So true! It's not that I'm bothering too much about it because the media are not all over that perception but just get a little bit twitchy now when I hear them saying that!
  18. Is anyone slightly annoyed seeing the word 'Lucky' and 'Chelsea' being in the same sentence from some part of the media and pundits??
  19. Bosingwa, one of the very VERY few players, who can boasts to have kept Messi quiet on MORE than one occasion. That is already an achievement in itself.
  20. Yes. If everything goes to plan, we'll have options and quality ones at that for the first time in years!
  21. Wouldn't worry too much about that. He can start on the wing with Mata in CAM and then constantly rotating positions in games and when you consider the possibility of Marin or Hulk on the other flank...
  22. We are guaranteed at least 50 games next season. Plenty of playing time for him here.
