Thought so. Unfortunately, there are hardly many quality right backs out there these days but Azpilicueta is one of them and he's only 23 too. If we get a chance to snap him up, we should do it ASAP.

Marin may not have been too consistent in his career so far but who's to say that he won't be good enough to stake his claim as a 1st team player in the squad playing and training with better players week in week out?! We are getting new players in plus with the ones that we have now to compete with one another to claim their spot in the starting XI and not taking the, 'ok, you're a first team player' and 'you are a squad player' approach.

So because you do not know anything about Azpilicueta, we should be scouting for others instead??

He may well come up against 3 of our defenders in Cahill, Terry and Cole. And pretty sure he will be getting a hostile reception at Wembley.

Azpilicueta. Much better RB than Van der Wiel and crucially, more solid defensively than the latter. Furthermore, Azpilicueta will not feel out of place if he comes here since we already have 3 Spanish players at the club.

He was. Played every 3-4 days in the last few games of the season after Cahill and Luiz both got injured. Completely no rest for him and that was probably a reason why his form dipped in those remaining games.

If a cheap and quality CM comes up from somewhere, then why not?! Had thought about him before but isn't he more suited to play in the CAM role rather IN central midfield? If he's given the time and chance to play next season to develop in that CM role, then I'm all up for it.

If all of our attacking threats only come from the front, then the opposition can sit deep and may defend easily against us without worrying about any threats coming from midfield. Need to have somebody in midfield who can spread the play and dictate the tempo in order to draw out the opposition. Lampard can do that but he can't be playing in every game, can he??
