Yes, Cazorla is a good player but getting the sense that people are completely over-hyping him, which is happening a lot on Twitter right now.

That's because he wasn't used to English football yet and needed time to settle. Another position he can play is at RCM, in a 4-4-2 diamond midfield. Used to play there for Benfica IIRC.

Erm, Lukaku isn't the only one in the team who can speak French. Malouda, Essien(if one or both stay), Cech and 1-2 others can speak French too. Some of the staffs and even RDM could probably speak French too and anyway, Hazard is currently learning English. That said, can't see any language issue being a problem of settling in here.

That lack of off the ball movement problem has been so apparent in the last 2 seasons and it's really baffling that even till now, we're still seeing the same old problem every time. Nobody is moving around offering themselves as a passing option and dragging opponents out of position to create space and chances for others. Last season, only Mata was the one doing that. Everyone usually just stood within 4-5 yards between each other and making silly sideways and backwards passes.

Debuchy seem hell bent on going to Newcastle. And apparently, he's second in our RB target list with Azpilicueta being the first.

Judging from the pre-season, it's clear that we can't go attack and take games to opponents in every game with the current players. No where solid enough defensively when we have to defend and certainly not helpful enough when we are still crap offensively. Best to revert to counter attacking football whenever necessary and City next week would be a good start!

How long are we gonna be using that as an excuse? It was already the 5th pre-season game FFS! Those players who played today should already have sufficient game time by now. No excuses for making the same mistakes over and over again. We're not making any complicated errors here but the basic ones!!
