Good to see against the lesser teams he's gained that ability to link up well and put in a good ball however can't see him playing that high up against other teams we were caught out numerous times on the right side

During Pre season he sucked 2-3 players in and then proceeded to either use the LB or play a cross field ball to rw or rb perhaps it is tactical, not sure but I can't go another season watching him receiving the ball, slow the pace down and invite two players to foul him decimating our momentum and Tbh it kills his attitude, you know from the first ten minutes what kind of game we will get from Eden. May seem harsh but I think it's fair with the amount of potential he has.

People massively under estimate the physicality of the premiership

Probably won't be super happy until he knows he has cemented the gk spot, until then it's calm, collected and focused.

Only seen a few games of Roma this season as I do not actively watch Serie A however from what I saw I was not like "wow.. really good CB" just a decent CB, nothing special, very rash/'determined' in that way reminds me of Luiz (NOT as bad) however dives into positions that could potentially leave him open behind. I'd rather save the £30m or spend some of it on a striker and go into the season with Terry/Cahill/Ivanovic/Zouma

I watch La Liga whenever I can, most weeks infact and I can tell you that, my own personal opinion only, that it didn't help that he never really knew where he was playing? If that makes sense. That is the impression I got anyway. I'm not a huge fan of the way Barca play and he never looked suited, just looked like he was shoe horned into the side alot of the time, he had a faster tempo than the way they played which I can only attribute to the EPL/Arsenal's play.

Looking forward to a pre-season at the bridge and think its a smart move from the board/club before the season starts so not technically our first game there when the prem kicks off. Smart smart smart.

He's a youngster. Great prospect, great ability. Concentration will dictate whether this kid makes it or breaks it. Cahill improved his concentration and positioning a great deal under JT/next to JT/At Chelsea as did Ashley. Needs time and games but he is a worry, at the moment.

Exactly this x 1000, it is SO good to see passes being sprayed about, I've wanted an Alonso type passer for so long at Chelsea and now we have it + more in Cesc Initial worries are that we are relying on him too much at the moment? Talking to a few days over the weekend planning some match day things etc and literally every single person said he's damaged his legacy with the club, I couldn't disagree that it's a blemish, I thank him for all he's done but it'll always be there.

Wow, I thought he was highly rated? I didn't keep tabs on him tbh just heard him name here and there.

I like that he unsettles the opponents CBs, there are some of course that cannot be unsettled this way but the majority focus too much on it which might let our other players nip in.

He almost lost it in the friendly with Vitesse, headbutt the guys arm after a slide tackle. Christ, I love this guy.
