  1. Really, everyone will copy them with the Etihad deal. We'll soon be sponsored by Sibneft or Gazprom or something. The Qatar Foundation deal Barcelona have is a far bigger crime than the Etihad deal. Remember how Pep Guardiola was supportive of the Qatar 2022 bid? I imagine they bribed him, promised him huge sums in sponsor money if he spoke in favour of them. And it robbed us the chance of having a decent World Cup, Qatar 2022 will be an unmitigated disaster.
  2. What about Ramires at right back? He held his own against Barcelona from there and it would give him plenty of space to open up those legs. But because he has simply been so good at the right wing position, I don't think we can rule him out for a first choice starting berth at right wing. Marin, I'm not sold on as a guy to start 45+ games a season. Ramires - Mata - Hulk
  3. I'll obviously not be voting. Thank you for all the votes and nominations
  4. I would imagine that would be Drogba, Terry, Lampard or Cech? Possibly Essien as well from the current crop.
  5. Yet another poll as tight as a Champions League semi final. TX is very knowledgeable on any topic he posts in (except Man City ), zolayes falls in the same boat. LDN Blue and FB, however, are just a shade above them and I can't separate them, so no vote here.
  6. Steve. His work in the Multimedia section is excellent. Every moderator deserves to be in this poll though, you're all incredible
  7. Sh0n3x, though Ollie and LDN Blue are perfect gentlemen as well.
  8. It's going to take something immense to beat Caerelus' wallpapers
  9. Zolayes is 74, he has an unfair advantage in the wisdom of the ages He gets my vote. Excellent poster.
  10. I've not had an easy vote yet! BlueLion is a superb administrator, but I voted for him in another forum and he's a greedy git as Steve said; he'll be rubbing it in our faces if he wins 2 of these I went with LDN Blue in the end.
  11. SeB, just. It was his masterful post in the Mikel Tactical Flaw thread that swung it for me, I was going to vote Jaimin before that.
  12. Brilliant And that gets TX my vote. Top poster, but he is TalkChelsea's John Terry. Polarises opinion and then pops up next game to score a headed winner.
  13. Another incredibly tough vote. Jaimin is amongst the best posters here, while Sh0n3x and Steve put in some fantastic work in the Graphics and Multimedia forums. I just can't separate the three, so I will abstain from voting in this poll. Unless we need 1 vote as a tiebreaker or something.
  14. Very tough. I went with Jim in the end, purely because his avatar set him apart from the others More seriously, as the owner of the site and its chief administrator, the work he puts in maintaining the site and that excellent graphics thread, nudges him ahead of the very worthy Jaimin and Tom.
  15. To be fair to Gomez, he is a brilliant league footballer. It's hugely important to make sure you don't drop points to the little team, and if you have someone like him in your side thats less likely to happen. He's the antithesis of Drogba, who's not arsed with any game that's not a knockout fixture. A duo of him and Drogba would be all conquering.
  16. No. Hulk as the striker or left winger, Ramires on the right wing. He's been exceptional there. Marin, Kalou, de Bruyne, etc. can sit on the bench.
  17. I don't see the problem. Mario Gomez is the equivalent of the late 19th and early 20th century British Empire Army. Brilliant at shooting African's in skirts armed with spears and taking their countries. Then, 3 million Germans hoved into view in 1914 and then the British did fuck all for the best part of 4 years.
  18. Not quite. 15/21 split between first and second legs. That a last 16 CL team can concede 15 shots to a midfield and attack as limp as ours was that night is astonishing. Napoli based their entire CL campaign around the acceptance that they couldn't keep a clean sheet. It didn't work for them, but if they improve that defence and retain the key figures of their current team, they are potential Finalists as they are probably the best in Europe at counter attacking.
  19. Certainly. But my man Kalou isn't forgiven round these parts for getting in scoring positions.
  20. Napoli's defence couldn't make anybody suffer. We carved them up in both legs, with 36 attempts over 210 minutes.
