I was a bit piss of this morning after the game that I felt like sacking AVB. But after walking away and cool of I am ok. Thus sometimes it makes me wonder if these people that run the club are worse then me. They can't think rationale and let themselves run by emotions easily....
-
What about the Emanolo as DoF? Or before that Emanolo as Ray replacement?
-
Well in the end what will do him will be his arrogance and naivety. I wish he would be giving a second season to see if he rectify his mistake, but Carlo never got the same treatment so why should he be any different? Just bring the next manager to be sacked in a season or two!
-
They got this article in Ukeurosports call: AVB embarks on solo project http://uk.eurosport....-090904072.html Kinda mess up when you think about it when AVB first press conference for Chelsea he called himself the "Group One" yet now he is looking from the outside with his squad as the lone outlander....
-
And this is when I am starting to agree with Sloth, that AVB was a delusional fool thinking he could walk into this club with out little change to the team and expect to do better then Carlo season with almost the same squad..... Players would have more of a respect for Carlo then AVB as he is mainly a rookie. Well hate to say it, but it seems like Graeme Souness and Alen Hansen where right about AVB appointment all along. I will never criticized them ever again.
-
I think it's far more better choice then the choices people give here. Cause if they fire AVB to get someone like Brendan then they did not learn anything and it's the same bullshit all over again. They want a young untested manager because he had one or two good seasons.... I would take a proven manager with over a decade worth experience in the EPL like Moyes any day.
-
It's easier said then done! People here only want to sell when the player is past his sell by date. Like A. Cole. He should have been sold last season, I even said he should be a couple of weeks ago and got slated because of that. Fact is that it's easier to said we should have sold this guy last season when we could have gotten more money. Should have, could have, would have......
-
David Moyes was the only manager to get before AVB. And if Chelsea can't spend because we fire AVB and throw away 100 million in managers and Torres in 2 season, then Moyes would be the only manager to work with little resources. It's not Mourinho! Cause he will bitch and moan that he does not have the resources to produce a good omelet.... Moyes can work with even a budget of 25mill!
-
Out of how many fucks up? They did not learned before, not learn today, and most likely won't learn tomorrow! A billion pound empire build by Roman about to crash just because of the board stupidity. Pretty soon it will be Chelsea in administration cause this type of stupid money won't last forever!
-
AVB said Roman support was unconditional instead of short term support.... Well the only way to find that out is if Chelsea finish outside of top 4, lose the replay against Birmingham and lose against Napoli! Do all that stuff and we will see how unconditional Roman support is for AVB....
-
Yeah I can't get my head around that. The club does its own business. They spend a lot of money on players for future, that give nothing to work for the current manager.
-
But no sane club does that. That is a circus. I learn to like this club a lot, but to do that again is just a big insult to the club. Cause frankly all it does is keep loading us on debt from Romans money, and then we have no money to buy players because we spend expensive packages to get rid of coaches thus leaving us with a lethargic squad....
-
Ridiculous if that's your thinking! How can you say he will be gone when the club just fire Carlo for 15 mill, to get AVB for 13 mill and then fire him one season. That is a joke of a club!
-
You saw a spark! I saw nothing. Two strikers that can't score for their life, but theoretical is not their fault. Is what we been saying over and over again. Hence AVB and the board a bunch of fools for negating this problem.

Double post

Yeah even Drogba was not as good as Torres. All Drogba had was leadership, and nothing else. They both are bad and is because of what you stated. Still don't understand why the club nor AVB managed to fix this with 2 transfer windows this season...ridicules from both!
-
Yup pretty much. As being stated before, AVB has been naive and arrogant, and that most likely will cost him. I wish he gets another season, but i felt the same with Carlo and he still got sack...
-
I think one of those against AVB project was Lampard! You could see Lampard gesture when AVB was telling him something before he was going to come on the pitch.
-
From the face that AVB has it looks like hes a dead man walking. And he only has himself to blame for being an idiot and not buying creative players and wingers. Thinking he was that good, that he could wing it with the same squad that Carlo got sacked for... But the real blame as I always stated is the board and Roman. How do you waste so much money on managers when you see you got a lethargic squad? Can't get no real crosses and passes to your forward so instead you spend 50 mill on a striker so it can be made easier to flop.....

Villas-Boas - No Cahill rift http://www1.skysport.../11095/7528498/ So that's why he started with Bosingwa as RB and Ivan as CB. Sorry AVB for jumping on you saying you where crazy for benching Cahill. And pleased to see that he also noticed Cahill was great against United. Hopefully in the coming important games there is no Bosingwa. With Birmingham i could care less, but against Napoli def Bosingwa must not start unless he plays in A. Cole position.

Great points, perhaps the most that stood out was: MOURINHO FEELS THREATENED SO HE'S CLEARLY TALENTED Mourinho was opposed to Villas-Boas' ambition to be a manager, when he left Jose's back room staff to embark on his own managerial career, in 2009. In fact, they've fallen out over it. The 34-year-old's incredible success at Porto and subsequent hring by Chelsea confirmed why Mourinho was worried. I really don't think it's like that, but interesting point to dwell in.

lol You just made my day.

AVB finally showing some authority. I thought these words where very interesting of what is going on behind the scenes: "Players compete, in the end, for their place and for their place towards the future in the team. So if you want to be in the team in the future, you are competing to win something against your colleague. I would put it exactly like that: performance to have reward ... reward in terms of results and reward in terms of future continuity. "My authority is total because it's the owner's authority. I have told you that we set out this team to try to win four trophies, believing in this team. Next year it's another one because there are different ongoing situations regarding contracts which will have to be addressed so that means different changes. Two players have already departed and further will depart in the future and won't make part of the project, which more or less they expect but this is the reality of any football team. We prepare to be more competent in the present and we have to prepare the future as well. "They know there is a manager in position holding on for a project of three years so, if they want to be part of that project, [it is about] performance level, or continuity of performance level and display. I think that's pretty basic of any football team. You don't contemplate with a reward people who underperform in any football team." "I am completely happy [with Abramovich] ... I have no problem with him at all," Villas-Boas said. "It is a relationship that is perfect at the moment. We have discussed how we can correct what's going wrong. I don't feel I am under pressure for my job, although I know I am under pressure for results." -AVB

Guus Hiddink has agreed a deal to take charge of Anzhi Makhachkala, according to Voetbal International, ending the prospect of him replacing Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea in the near future. The Dutch boss has been repeatedly linked with Chelsea ever since guiding them to FA Cup glory during a short spell at the club in 2009. With the Blues struggling at present, the pressure has piled on Villas-Boas and led to talk of a return for Hiddink. Hiddink's agent was non-committal when asked about the subject at the start of the week, but it would now appear to be off the agenda following the news he has seemingly committed to Anzhi. The 65-year-old, who has been out of the game since failing to guide Turkey to Euro 2012, has reportedly put his name to an 18-month deal. The Dutchman has knowledge of the game in Russia, having led the national side between 2006 and 2010. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/136639.html?CMP=OTC-RSS
