  1. We all know the answer and people still managed to moan about it. We had no stability! We had Sturridge and years ago the board wanted to get Shaw on the cheap. This a lone shows that the board has actually been thinking about this. But when you had many managers and at the time we had Ryan who we didn't know what he could become it makes it hard. It is why managerial stability will help in this a lot. I never expected Mourinho to put any youth in his first season. He was trying to fit the pieces. Now that hes more comfortable we can start seeing a little bit of them. But realistically the bigger impact will be felt from next season onward if Mourinho stays with us for some time.
  2. Yes but I will repeat I have no problem with such people. I include myself as a bandwagon person. I decided to follow Chelsea one of the top teams in the world around 07 or so. And ever since then this has been the only team I really follow.... Well to be more exact I wouldn't really follow the sport as much. I would watch some highlights here and there. So nothing hard core like watching a whole season for only one team. Now I watch every Chelsea match. If I missed it, I will download it via torrent. But in all I would still welcome a bandwagon person or someone that just came because we are the flavor of the month. Because you don't know if that person will become a fan for life as it happened with me. [emoji41]
  3. Bandwagnors are people that jump to the most popular thing. We all started as Bandwagnors by choosing the top teams. But yes there's a difference in people staying through thick and thin. But the main point was that we started as that, therefore is ridiculous and hypocritical to call someone a Bandwagnors from a big team unless you was born and raised in that club. And the other point what you have to say? Your telling me that amongst the younger people the galácticos didn't became the best thing since slice bread? That revolutionized the modern game. It up their popularity around the globe exponentially. Was Fútbol popular in Asia 3 decades ago? USA? But that galácticos generated mass appeal even in the non Fútbol countries.
  4. First of all I didn't said real Madrid became popular because of the galácticos. They was popular, but when the galácticos era came out changed the whole perception of Spanish team. It became the world best 11. People didn't care if they had players from Spain or not, what attracted more people to the club was the stars in one team. While loathed by others for buying the league and what not. So in the modern era that is what sparked the popularity amongst the younger people. Cause they can have great history like Ajax but if they don't revolutionized they will go the way of the dinosaurs. The galácticos changed the game into this modern we have now of having the world best 11 by paying big. And I don't get your point talking about the occasion fans. I have no problem with them. I just said that you shouldn't be bad mouthing them as that makes you a hypocrite.
  5. I like you, but I don't think you should be bad mouthing bandwagoners and people going for the flava of the month since you have many teams you like. Real Madrid, inter and now Chelsea. Still like you, but just thought that was a bit hypocritical of you. I have no problem with such people by the way.
  6. As squad players? Yes then that agree. However if we buy a player to be a squad player then people would still complain. This is why I don't think the club is buying any of them. It rather produce them and use them as a squad player.
  7. For a top team that wants to rule all of Europe, yes! Hey its not our fault that England players have regressed. If anything England has to look at the German model because they must be doing something right.
  8. It's simple, Lampard was a top player that even foreign clubs like Barcelona wanted him. Cole the same, real coveted him so much. Now in England which foreign team will covet a English player? The only one I can see are sterling and maybe sturridge. Now these are players that have many years left in them and could be in a top team for a while. The Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard are on decline. So won't put them in that same bracket as these two. Oh and we had one, in sturridge but gave him away because of Torres.....
  9. You want me to go over the list and see how shit they are? Only 2 or 3 would be starters at Chelsea.
  10. So is lallana better then Fabregas or Alexis Sanchez? Seriously get a grip. They stink! The club has to develop its own if it wants the identity of English players in its team.
  11. Real exploded with the galáctico era in this modern world. Nobody in the world really cared if they was Spanish or not. Just that it was a team assembled of top stars riping teams apart. And those crying because lack of English, well you guys are ridiculous. There's not many good ones available at this moment. Arsenal and Liverpool might have more English players but they are mediocre. Save sterling who might be great if he continues the way he's going. Other then that not much you can do because English players suck at the moment. And a lot has to do with the pl giving large amount of money from TV revenue. With the money that is being generated for even lower level teams does it benefits them to develop younger players or buy them to compete in the pl and stay in it? So it has to fall on the big teams to develop them ala Barcelona. And that's what Mourinho has been talking about. It won't happen this season, maybe next season but more then likely in 3 years we might see progress in this.
  12. Well maybe your right, but Dortmund has to sell him next summer or extend his contract otherwise will be the same scenario.
  13. Well how many years he got left in his contract before he does a lewandosky?
  14. Mourinho will upgrade if necessary. Remember Mourinho first season with Maka? Most people back then would have said why you need Essien when you got Maka? And later we realize why it was such a good signing. So, as long as it's a target that can upgrade us and we can get him we will go for him. Reus would be an amazing upgrade but as some said he has Bayern writing all over it. I believe we more chances of signing Pogba then this bloke.
  15. Think it was that Belgium guy paolo something. And he was also hating us for KDB....have not even seen that thread be active any more. In less then a year the KDB fans, Mata fans and so far Lukaku fans have been put in their place by Mourinho. Never question Mourinho. :blue scalf:
  16. Yeah some of those buys is best to judge them this second season. Don't have crazy villa boas around anymore and the players should be more adapt to the league. I think Spurs might be a tough team this season despite them getting thrashed by Liverpool.
  17. Yeah very good business. I do have to say one player that have caught my eyes is Federico Fazio to Spurs. I rated him highly at la Liga, and Pochetino got himself a great player. Let's see how well he fits into the PL, cause that's another thing as wellll.
  18. There was never any level playing field intention with this. It was like I said, just spend what you earn. Platini made it clear from day one. You can spend an immense amount of money just as long as you make it via revenues.
  19. That's like saying what if Costa and Remy gets injured....
  20. How is it going around the system? FFP only stops you from spending what you don't have. If you have big revenue coming in you can spend all that.
  21. @Chelsea Legend 11, The only player from 12 season I would have loved to kept besides the obvious one in Sturridge would have been Meireles. He was very useful CM. Don't know why we let him go.
  22. FFP, and taking the cue from Chelsea. After being criticize for revolutionize this technique, now it seems like the cool thing to do nowadays
  23. Well if that project is over then there's still some good young players. Remember kondgbia and ocampos? I think they still there.
  24. Well I remember uefa saying they would cut a break for teams that fail to qualify as it reduces their revenue. So for me I don't get it why United would worry about such things. Especially when they making so much money.
  25. That still doesn't make sense. United are not in cl so FFP should be of no concern till they get back in right?
