I'm guessing about £20-25 million. Perhaps a bit pricey for someone we will only use for a maximum of about 3 seasons and who is getting on the wrong side of 30.However his talent is undeniable. Definitely World Class. If we missed out on Cavani there isn't really anyone left other, than Ibra, who is 1) Attainable 2) World Class (Will make an immediate impact) 3) Can play in our system Plus if you're a Lukaku advocate, Ibra won't hinder his career at Chelsea too much. Also, the things I mentioned in my previous post, such as being a real winner, strong character, wanting to play under Mourinho and win a CL etc. Taking all this into account, he would and should be, taking all things and circumstances into consideration, a great buy.

He wouldn't cost £40+ million ROFLMAO.
-
He's a short term fix (A damn great one at that). Would make us title contenders instantly. He has an immense winning mentality and I don't think he would give us much trouble at all under Mourinho. We can get a good 2 years out of him.
-
If we don't get Cavani I'd rip both you arms off and probably your left leg off too for Ibra. Putting aside his age, he is a great Striker and is one of the only World Class Strikers who would be great in our style of play. A strike force of Ibra and Lukaku is exactly what Jose would want. I could see it terrorising defenses.

Is another B2B midfielder what we need though? He seems a good all round player but he's neither a specialist DM or a Deep Lying Playmaker.
-
.......Mother of God, we'd be getting a Beast!
-
Where on Earth are you getting Ibra from him? No links plus his age.
-
Anyone care to fill me in on Countinho? I had heard nothing about him until comparisons started being made on this thread? I don't know where they have come from. Liverpool fans or us...?
-
Iniesta as an AM is still the best of the lot in my opinion. He's a freak and genius. Mata is probably the 2nd best AM in the world.
-
Yeah, that's right, let's attack someone who hasn't done anything to us and make him feel bad. Yeah!
-
A promising talent will be sent out on loan for 2-3 seasons, we'll forget about him, he'll be sold. Rinse and Repeat.
-
Bertrand is absolutely fine. No need for this guy, we can get Shaw when Cole goes.
-
Why is he riding Bayern so hard? Makes absolute no sense.
-
This signing could be like the Van Persie one. He could win us the title single handedly (He won't need to though when we've got Mazacar and Co). I cannot express enough how important a signing Cavani would be.

Rafa Benitez signed 2 years deal with Napoli

At face value, PSG would have been the better option. Looking at it more closely though, he will have about £50-60 million to re-invest in the squad with the sale of Cavani and as we know, Rafa can be quite astute at buying players for not too much, so £50-60 million should be enough money for him to build a good team that could challenge for the title. He may also want Torres (hopefully) as one of the Strikers to replace Cavani as Torres seems to be playing decently under him.You may say they won't challenge, however there isn't much competition in Serie A. It's a weak-ish league at the moment. Also, even though he won't play 3 at the back Napoli play in a way that is similar to what Rafa wants, a hard working counter attacking team. Everything is there for Rafa really. Lower expectations as well. -

I hear the Global Waiter's convention is being held in Naples this year...Coincidence? I think not... -
It will be interesting to see how Jose goes about this. Him coming back here tells me something because he's not usually a man who goes back. It tells me that he feels this is where he belongs and this is where he wants to set up camp. He'll want to stay for much longer than last time and start running the club a bit like Ferguson did. This may also see him start using our Youth a lot more. I think our style of play will be a Balanced one, that doesn't emphasise either Attack of Defense too much, since this is the type of players we have. Anyways, in regard to the transfers he wants, he'll definitely get a Striker, DM and CB to strengthen the spine. It seems he'll keep Lukaku on and sell Torres leaving us with New Top ST, Ba and Lukaku which is far better. However I'm against selling Luiz and I hope he has a change of heart on that matter. He may be...'Flamboyent' but he certainly is skillfull and strong. Cavani would be the absolute perfect striker for Jose. I think he'll bring Modric with him as well. Let's hope he makes the right moves, I'm really looking forward to seeing Jose back and the players he brings in. We need a top DM slightly more than we need a Deep Lying Playmaker so I would prefer De Rossi over Modric, or both rather than just solely Modric. It would be a double edged sword, making us better going forward but even weaker defensively in the pivot.

Hazard does SOME tracking back. Oscar as we have seen is fine is this department. Torres...Well hopefully he's not even on the field so it doesn't matter. Mata is the one who probably won't press but I think it's better that way as he is best when he is high up the pitch just behind the striker or playing as a second striker. Dortmund's pressing wasn't out of this world pressing like Barcelona's was around 09-10 but it certainly is effective and achievable.
-
Definitely, I would also say Essien would shade it. More agile in his prime, better runner and had a monster shot on him. Also, buying Modric has its own implications. Getting him will probably end any chance of Oscar being our CM, meaning he could continue stifling his potential on the right. Also if he starts on the right, it means no starting position for KDB. Sure, KDB can be a squad player at first but would he settle with that, especially as Dortmund is apparently trying to sign him.

Brace yourselves...Here come the 'Overrated' posts...

Why is Oscar being left out of so many teams on here? Ridiculous. Needed to be pointed out, sorry Strike.

Jose Mourinho my friend, Jose Mourinho.

Essien in his Prime vs Yaya Toure. That would have been some sight.
