Valencia is an old fashioned and extreme example of a winger. He's not a good barrometer of what a modern winger should be. Sanchez is a (Modern) winger in every sense of the word and he is a good one. Barcelona just have done what they always do, minimize everyone who's not Messi.
Yep. It'd just be like Sturridge all over again. Promising loan spell, bring him back, only to find out he's not ready, then eventually selling him because we fucked up...
I would calm down but we're Chelsea. When it comes to Strikers we become more retarded with each season. I wouldn't put it past us to actualy get no one and rely on Ba, Torres and Lukaku.
You think Schurrle (Mediocre), Lukaku (20 year old no where near his prime), Torres (Ha) and Ba (slightly above average) can win us the league? Enjoy having your expectations and hope shattered. It will quite literally be the end of the season before it starts. Goals win you games and titles. That's that. Van Persie ALONE won United the title. Why don't you get how important it is to have a top class striker?
Really? Who's left? Falcao to Monaco, Cavani to Citeh, Jovetic to Arsenal, Lewandowski to Bayern, Rooney probably staying and Suarez would never happen...Just who are these great players you speak of?
We don't even need him. Bring De Bryune back, put him on the wing and put Oscar in the middle alongside a good DM. Last thing we need is another AM. We should pass on Schurrle and get a proper winger (Not an AM converted into one) like Sanchez. He would be immense here.
Schurrle is mediocre. I'll stick by that no matter what. If going into next season all we have is Ba, Torres and Lukaku then set your aims to another top 4 battle.
Well to me it doesn't make a difference. They are both as good as each other right now. I think one of them needs to be sold. I'm actually leaning towards selling Ba because if we get Lukaku back (or Cavani/Falcao) we'll need a different type of striker to mix it up. Ba would be a bit too similar. Of course if Torres goes I'd be equally indifferent.
He definitely needs to be put in midfield. Whether that be 4-3-3 or in the Pivot, it doesn't matter. 4-4-3 would be ideal but we won't see much of it. I don't think he would lose anything talent wise going into the Pivot because he can roam around all he wants. I mean Lampard does it all the time, the difference is Oscar will actually track back.
