What gives me confidence about Lukaku this year is the way Mourinho moulded Milito, a very average striker, into one of the worlds best for Inter.
-
Really think he is going to have a Balesque season this year.
-
Brilliant example. Burnout. Another player who lost his pace and everything else went. Time for Nando to go and Lukaku to shine.
-
Jesus Christ I completly forgot about Essien. What a legend.
-
Never seen him play, but seems a promising young midfielder and a 6 ft 1 gives us abit of a physical presence in there.
-
I give up.

Yes, lets splash out big money and huge wages for a 31 year old and start him above Lukaku and others. While we're at it, I hear Chopper Harris is looking for a new club. Eric Djemba-Djemba could solve the problems with our double pivot and I hear Adriano just got released aswell, good back up for Ibra.

When did I say Drogba didn't deliever in the big games? I'm a biggest Drogba fan as much as the next man, don't get me wrong, I'm just pointing out that there was games that he didn't deliever in and wasn't the angel that everyone makes out to be. But lets remember him for the games you stated instead of the others, every player has there flaws, Drogba won us the Champions League.

Can we stop posting this shite uncrediable sources please? They make no difference to the outcome of the transfer.
-
Pipe down lads, small time games then, not a postseason friendly against City when it mattered!
-
Thats what I meant. They'll sign a striker, either Suarez/Cavani/Lewandoski, and they'll compete with Benzema, more then likely they'll start because Benzema was poor for alot of last season.
-
Heavily linked with Lewandoski and Cavani, also with Higuain leaving they'll need someone to compete or be back up to Benzema.
-
He gave away the ball in a postseason friendly OSCAR OUT!

Can see them seriously declining next season to be honest. Absurd amount of money for Fernandinho. They lack depth in their defence. Hart is mistake prone these days. In the middle, Yaya Toure is declining and seemed to go off the pace since he came back from the ACON last January, other then that, Fernandinho is average, Milner and Barry are average footballers and Rodwell and Garcia hardly set the world on fire. Up front, They never give Dzeko the chance he deserves, Silva has slipped wayyy behind Mata, In my opinion they signed Navas about 3 years too late. He is an explosive winger who relys on his pace. He is also 28 in November, so thats going to slip. Aguero only got 12 goals last season but i'd expect him to be decent again this season. And all in all, I don't rate Pellegrini. Already proved at Real Madrid he couldn't handle big ego's. I'm not saying this because I'm a Chelsea fan, but looking at it from the outside, I'd be very worried if i was a City fan. They really need to make sure they get Isco, a top class Striker and in my opinion, another midfielder, and a cover/challenging for starting centre half.
-
Have a feeling he'll go to Madrid before the end of next week to be honest.
-
Think Dani Alves is just bitter about someone running through on goal and scoring in the 90th minute
-
But he got sent off in the end for a slap, and i was talking about the one in Stamford Bridge but okay. I don't really care what you want me to do, I was making a point, he did not produce in every big game he played in, if he did we would have won league after league after league, cup after cup after cup, and Champions League after Champions League. No player in the world produced in every big game they played in.
-
You clearly didn't watch enough big games then. Moscow? Barca 2009 when he missed some chances and others
-
Drogba is a legend and all, but he wasn't a gladitor for 5/6 years. Infact, he only had two seasons in his time here where he hit over 20 goals in a season, in all competitions.
-
If they hate us now, God knows what there going to think of us when we dominate English football or the next few years!
-
An amazing footballer who has had a dream season. I'd shiver to think what we would say about Hazard if he was as good as Bale this season!
-
Interesting Development. We're strongly linked with Schurrle which looks like it could be done, Cavani and Hulk. We already have Ba, Torres and Lukaku (Who Mourinho has stated he wants to be at SW6 next year) So, in my opinion, we should use Torres as part of the Cavani deal, purely as an easy way to get rid of him. He is a cancer and we will never progress as a club with him. If the Scurrle deal is done, we'd probably use him as an inside forward. on the right or left, which leaves us with Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Schurrle and Moses for three positions. This would give us the options we've been lacking. If we start MAZCAR, we could have Schurrle and Moses on the bench, both could make an impact, Schurrle with his abillity to cut in and have a shot, and Moses with his direct wing play and power. I can't really see the Hulk deal going through, but if it does it would have to mean Schurrle wouldn't be signed, or he would and Moses would be sold. It would also mean leaving either Hulk, Oscar, Mata or Hazard on the bench, I can't see Hazard or Mata being dropped, so Oscar's progress could be either hilted, or he could drop deeper into the double pivot. Upfront, I'd keep Lukaku, sell Torres and unsure of what to do with Ba. We'd need three strikers, But with Lukaku's youth he needs game time, so he would have to get the nod over Ba. It also gives us the option of playing 4-4-2, which the club hasn't done in years. Very interesting transfer window ahead, probably will be the greatest of all time on a European point of view.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Juan Mata could be played as a striker for us, similar to the way Barcelona play Messi? At the minute, he's in the top 5 players in the world for me, and he has showed time and time again that he can beat the offside trap, finish with excellent composure, But he could also drop deep and help out the attacking players behind him. Next season I'd like to see Mata Hazard - Oscar - Schurrle Providing Schurrle signs. People might argue that Mata doesn't have enough physicality for that role, but he doesn't need it with the pair of feet he has. Thoughts?
-
We have Juan Mata, therefore we will win. Simple.
-
Not worried about this at all, They barely beat Southampton, and when AVB insists on playing Adebayor, and he is awful lately. Yes Bale will have to be watched, but as FSW said, so willl Mata and Hazard. We are a better team overall and this will show.
